About: I am more than happy to care for animals that are brachycephalic, high energy, loud / talkative, picky, large or small, and more! I was raised on a “mini zoo”, which means I am used to complex care routines and lots of animals! I also love dogs, cats, reptiles, and other critters. Feel free to contact me even if you aren’t sure! I can schedule my job to work around your pet. Contact me a week in advance to do so, otherwise I work a pretty consistent schedule and can find a way to care for your pet afterwards I understand that each animal has their own needs and personality. I will follow whatever routine they need to thrive. I am comfortable working with a variety of animals and always have safety in mind.

“Arcadia helped me out with my 4-year-old Border Terrier while we were in town for my job for two weeks. On two different occasions Arcadia came over to keep River company and take her out on walks, and hung out for multiple hours. She was very intuitive and sweet with River, and she was a trustworthy and chill person to have come stay at my Airbnb with my dog. Would definitely recommend Arcadia to anyone who is looking for dog services.”

“I have only wonderful things to say about Roger and Julie! They did a meet and greet since they did not know our dogs and we loved them as much as our dogs did. We don’t leave our dogs often and we have 3 so we worry when we do leave them, but we got daily updates with pictures and our dogs were relaxed and happy. I swear my house was cleaner when we got home than when we left! I highly recommend as long as you leave us some available dates!”

“As previously, Bri was amazing. I knew my pups were in good hands while I was gone and could relax on my trip knowing Bri would care for them as they were her own. thank you !”
About: I’ve dog sat a lot for family, friends, and even friends of my family. I’ve watched all different sizes and breeds from Husky’s and Pit mixes to Teacup Chihuahuas. I’ve mainly just done stop by feedings and overnight sitting. Since it’s summer I’m free for the most part since I don’t have college classes but I do have quite a bit of concerts and beach trips but I keep my availability updated very frequently. I’m currently looking for a part time job but I don’t have one now so I’m free a lot. I can stop by your home when available to feed, let potty, or even get a little energy out. At my house my dog is very lazy so we usually just hangout in my bed all day but when she decides she wants to play I take her outside with her ball or throw it down the hallway.

About: I’ve cared for animals of all kinds for about 5 years now. From dogs and cats (of all ages!) to horses, birds, and a tarantula! I have a lot of experience with senior animals and pets with special needs as well :). I work part time Monday through Friday but I am always off work by 3pm at the latest (often earlier). But outside of work I have no other responsibilities that cannot be adjusted to fit around your pets schedule! I have experience with all sorts of homes, ex: cities, busy neighborhoods, homes in the country. And all sorts of pets! I am happy to work anywhere and very adaptable.
About: I grew up in a family that love dogs, so pretty much i’ve been around dogs my whole life and all types of them! I am trying to work my way to be a vet technician, but for a side hustle I thought doing what i love would be best which ofc working with animals! I am very reliable and my schedule is pretty flexible! I am working on getting a part time job but for right now I am completely free to watch your fur babies. After 11:00am Monday-Sunday! I will come and let your dogs out as many times as you prefer me to, and stay a little while so they can get out the crate and exercise their legs. I can even feed them if you ain’t gonna have enough time.
About: I've had animals most of my life from puppies to pound mutts and full blooded and senior dogs. I make sure to encourage play and positive training. I currently work from home so I spend lots of time with family pets, old roommate animals and friends pets. Lately it's been waking up to 3 small dogs my parents have. I make sure to follow any rules stated by the original owner. It can range from crate training, socialization, cleaning, walking or using the client's home.
“Katelyn was phenomenal! She responded quickly and accepted our booking last minute after two other sitters canceled, was so accommodating to set up a meeting beforehand, gave prompt and detailed updates throughout our time away and went above and beyond to make sure our pup was comfortable. Couldn’t recommend her more and will absolutely book her again and again! She took the best care of our pup!”
“Christina did a great job taking care of our sweet Molly!! We enjoyed hearing update on her. I would Definitely give her five stars, and will definitely use her services again!! Thank you Christina!!! Julie”

“Dolly has been wonderful to work with. Very prepared and professional. Our dog has pretty bad separation anxiety since our older dog died, and we had no problem leaving him with Dolly there. He was comfortable with Dolly immediately! Will definitely call on her again.”

“Mia was amazing with all my babies! She sent photos and gave them all the love that they needed! I am SO protective of my babies and Mia made it easy! I will definitely be using her again anytime we go out of town. I have a lot of animals and she absolutely nailed it. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Thank you Mia for everything you did for all my babies!! They love you!”

“Kyra recently stayed at our home and took care of our Bernedoodle and cat. She was absolutely fabulous! She sent daily pictures and kept us well informed, played with Bella and loved on Luna. We will definitely use her again!”

About: My mom was a vet tech growing up and I have been around all sized dogs my whole life. We have boarded them in our home, and I would like to continue to do so. Whether it is drop in visits or boarding, I have plenty of room to run. I am local to parks, and can tend to whatever the dogs may need exercise wise. I also enjoy walking all dogs, and I love all breeds. I am home most of the time, so the dogs won’t be stuck alone for hours on end. I work from home, so there will not be much of a time that the dogs will be alone. I can cater to whatever the dogs need. We have plenty of trails to walk (perks of living in the country” I have plenty of bones, toys, blankets, and anything to make your dog happy and comfortable.
About: Currently offering discounted rates, book now before prices increase! I’m new to the whole pet sitting thing, as far as watching other people’s pets. I was fortunate enough to watch a neighbor’s dog this past summer and I loved it. I have 4 dogs of my own. They are a chihuahua, welsh corgi, French bulldog and lastly a sheltie. My dogs are my world and they make life more enjoyable, I truly couldn’t imagine coming home to an empty house without my dogs. I truly hope that I can make this a full time gig and treat your pets as if they were my own and give them the love and attention that they deserve. I’m currently out of a job right now, so I do have plenty of time. Of course I do have my own pets and personal life to attend to but if you work with me I’ll work with you. My main priority is to make sure me and you are on the same page and your pet has the utmost care and love. I mean personally in my home, our pets are our family. They chill and lay around in the house. We don’t personally keep any of them outside. We crate our sheltie when we leave because she is still pretty much a puppy but other than that our dogs just roam the house. I do have experience in taking care of dogs that happen to be outside. Whether it be a building, shed or whatever.
“Savannah took great care of my dogs for the week, and responded very quickly any time I reached out. She sent updates daily and my dogs loved spending the week with her!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10 and neighbors, family, and friends have relied on me to feed, walk, and play with their dogs. I’m currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to play with your pets! Just reach out whenever you need a helping hand. I am a reliable and trustworthy person and would be more than happy to make sure your pet is well taken care of at home.
About: Growing up I would help my cousin who was a Chihuahua breeder. She taught me how to give the best care and love to pets. She even gave me one of her chihuahuas who I named Miss Sissy. I love that dog as my family and I know how important it is to treat your pet the same way as family. I've had experience taking care of other people's pets as well as house sitting. I used to do it for several of my friends and members of my church. I've taken care of cats, different types of dogs from small to large, chickens, and an occasional horse or two. I'm completely aware of how important having the knowledge that someone who can provide care, trust, and security to your pet and home is to you. These are attributes that I always aim to provide in my service to you. I believe pets are some of the best of God's creation and they should well care for as such. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to being your pet care provider. Little over a year ago my life changed drastically. I had a stroke that left me with some disabilities. I'm doing pet care as a way to provide for myself as well as a way to be useful to others. I enjoy animals and they can brighten a person's day. That's one of the benefits I receive from it and would like that more in my daily life. My landlord unfortunately doesn't allow pets. But if I had a pet I would make sure they have access to fresh food and water so they will stay nourished. Give them play time so they can be active as well as showing them the love they deserve. I would make sure they have time outside as needed. With pets you have to keep an eye on them, just like children, to make sure they stay safe. That is always a priority in taking care of animals. For your pet I would follow your direction on how they should be cared for since you know your pet the best.
“Hannah kept in good contact with me and sent great pictures. The cats were mainly relaxed, my gray cat is skittish around children so he was a little reluctant to let me pet him because her daughter had been here just before I got home. The house was very well cared for and the plants were in good shape. She did some extras which made the house nice and neat looking when I returned. She did a great job and I'll be trying to get her when I take my next trip.”

The median cost per night for house sitting in Asheboro is $42

Victoria, thank you so much for taking such good care of Kenji. It gave me great peace of mind knowing he was in good hands and receiving so much attention, care, and kindness while he was with you. I truly appreciate your help, your patience, and the time you dedicated to him. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you did for him! 🐾💙 Thank you again, Victoria. We truly appreciate it.

Dolly has been wonderful to work with. Very prepared and professional. Our dog has pretty bad separation anxiety since our older dog died, and we had no problem leaving him with Dolly there. He was comfortable with Dolly immediately! Will definitely call on her again.

Kat is an amazing pet sitter! I’ve only been able to utilize her services twice, and both times were so very seamless. She’s extremely professional and meticulous, from the meet and greet until she departs. She communicates well and sends updates and pictures without being asked. She kept our house exactly as we left it, and most importantly, took such great care of our Labrador. He was so happy and content when we arrived home., as if we’d never left. I would without a doubt hire her every time we need a sitter if not for her moving away. You will be missed tremendously by Rookie and the Myers family!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Asheboro walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Asheboro maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Asheboro choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Asheboro. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
