About: I've been surrounded by dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, turtles, frogs and fish for 35+ years. I've raised, house-trained, walked, entertained and loved a variety of dogs and cats my entire life. I never get tired of these sweet creatures! I have experience with all dogs and cats, regardless of age, breed or temperament. As I'm now only working part-time providing early intervention services for children, and am self-employed, I have a great deal of flexibility to care for your dogs and cats. I'm available for drop-ins to feed, play with and care for your sweet pets as needed - throughout the day and night - as well as dog-walking, as it fits into your schedule. I've spent the last 20+ years working as a teacher and developmental therapist, educating children who have developmental delays and disabilities. Now, I've decided to focus additionally on my love of animals. Since I was a small child, I've adored pets, and have many years of experience caring for a variety of them. I'm very patient and appreciative of each animal's personality. I currently have 3 dogs and 3 cats of my own, and have used this service as a customer as well, so I can understand your point of view as "parents".
“Eleanor continues to provide meaningful care on my Zeke dog’s weekly walks and seamless communication surrounding all walks. We are grateful and happy to have her in our lives - as will you!”
“Lauran was fantastic while I was visiting Louisville for the Kentucky Oaks and Derby weekend. Her communication was top notch, always quick to respond and kept me updated throughout the two days. I especially appreciated her flexibility when I needed to add an extra walk at the last minute, she was incredibly accommodating and handled it without any issues. It’s a huge relief to find someone so reliable and easy to work with when you're visiting another city for an event. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a professional and adaptable walker!”

About: What sets me apart is that I truly enjoy spending time with animals and believe every pet deserves patience, kindness, and individualized care. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or simply having someone nearby to keep them company, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. I'm dependable, attentive to details, and committed to following your pet's normal routine, including feeding schedules, medications, and any special instructions. I understand that every animal has a unique personality, and I take the time to earn their trust at their own pace. While I don't claim to be a professional trainer, I'm happy to reinforce the routines and commands you're already working on. I'm also comfortable caring for puppies who need extra attention and senior pets who may require a slower pace, additional patience, or special care. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is in caring and reliable hands. Pet care fits naturally into my schedule. I work a regular Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. job in the St. Matthews/Lyndon area and live in the Highlands, so I'm available for walks and drop-in visits during my lunch break as well as every weekday evening after 5:00 p.m. I also have availability most weekends for walks, drop-in visits, and extended care. I have a reliable car, which allows me to be flexible and dependable when traveling to clients' homes. I'm committed to keeping a consistent schedule and communicating clearly so you can feel confident your pet will receive the care they need when you need it. When caring for pets in a client's home, I do my best to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I'll follow your instructions closely for feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and any other specific needs to help your pet feel comfortable and secure while you're away. I believe communication is important, so I'll provide updates and photos throughout each visit so you know how your pet is doing. Whether your pet is energetic and loves to play or prefers a quiet companion, I'll adjust my care to match their personality and comfort level. Safety is always my top priority. I'll make sure your pet is secure on walks, has fresh water, receives plenty of attention, and is treated with the same care and respect I'd give my own pet. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible for both you and your furry family member.
About: Hi all! Thanks for stopping by my profile. I currently work from home twice a week and will be off all summer starting May 1st, which means I have plenty of flexibility and time to give your pets the attention they deserve. I have two dogs and one cat of my own, each of them extremely friendly, social, and welcoming to new furry friends. Whether you need someone to walk your dog, provide overnight care, or stop by for drop-in visits, I’d love to help make your life a little easier. I have hands-on experience giving medication, bathing my pets, and even clipping my cat’s nails, so I’m comfortable with pets who may need a little extra care. I’m happy to follow your routines and preferences to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and at home. If you have any questions or specific needs, feel free to reach out. I look forward to hearing from you and hope you choose me to care for your pet! I'm a professor so my schedule is pretty consistent, and I will be starting my summer break soon. I walk Sadie and Carter three times a day and feed them twice a day. They get a walk first thing in the morning, mid-day around lunch and then right before bed! I live in a large one bedroom apartment and my complex has a dog park! There's a lot of local parks nearby as well. My dogs and cat are definitely my children so if you choose me to take care of your pup or kitty, I'll treat them the same exact way.

About: I love animals more than I like most people. I have taken care of cats most of my life; we had a minimum of 3 in our home at all times. They were all part of the family with their own personalities. Once I was out on my own l had cats, one blind, and a Siberian husky, (who was the light of my life). I live in a condo community and in my building we are all taking care of our fur babies while on vacations etc. I just love animals, not much more I can say. About: I have cared for dogs and cats since I was 12! I am constantly called upon by my friends and family to pet sit for them when they are away. I am currently unable to have a pet at the moment due to a demanding work schedule/roommates, but I love going to see my friends/families dogs and I honor the trust they put in me when I am asked to care for them. I love the animals in my life and I'll love yours, too!! This summer I am available very often due to my work schedule (I am a teacher on summer break- woohoo!) so I will be around to love on and care for your pets super frequently. I can care for pets daily! Due to having roommates will allergies, I unfortunately cannot open my home to pets. However, I have had pets in my own home since I was born and have independently cared for pets from the age of 12+. I play, feed/water, give attention to, bathe, walk, etc. all the animals in my life and have for quite a while.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Arctic Springs
My dog has been struggling with severe separation anxiety, and meeting Kaylee has given us hope. When I first reached out, she was incredibly kind and eager to help. At our meet and greet, my dog is usually very cautious and nervous around strangers, but he warmed up to her quickly, which immediately made me feel more comfortable. During the visit, she stayed calm when he became anxious, comforted him throughout the visit, and helped him settle while I was away. I really appreciated her communication and the updates she gave me afterward about how he did. I’m looking forward to continuing to work with her and seeing how things progress. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a respectful, communicative, and caring pet sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
