“Home drop in went well, after we got our communication straight.. Martini's first drop in and happy he responded well to the sitter. A true life saver when you're away and pup needs a potty break.”
“Breanna made our first experience with Rover a great one! We loved all the report cards and pictures we got of our two boys. You can really tell Breanna loves what she does and is good at it. One of our cats acts like a grumpy old man to most people but he LOVED her instantly.. we will definitely use Breanna again”

“Chris did a great job of checking on our kitties on a set schedule and gave our one cat her pills every day! He even took the extra time to sweep after cleaning the litter boxes! I will be requesting him again!”

“This was the second time booking Tricia to visit my cat while I was out of town. Tricia provided a great service as usual and Smokey was happy to see her again.”

“Lola is so sweet and my dog really seems to enjoy his time with her. Anytime I texted her to check on my pup she was there to answer almost immediately. I will definitely be booking her again. She was super understanding and I couldn’t have asked for someone better to watch after my puppy while I was away.”

About: I've taken care of dogs for 13 years. No kids and or animals at home. I love animals and welcome cats and dogs of any size or breed. I live walking distance from a soccer field with a great track for walks. Both of my senior dogs crossed the rainbow bridge recently and before their passing we had a nice routine going. I work nearby and will come home on my breaks to check on the pups and take them out on pee breaks. I have Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays off, which I normally spend at home or on hikes at local parks. I do not have a fenced in yard. However, I have no issue with pets on the furniture and I have a spare room for crates.
“Emily and Adam is very experienced with taking care of cats. They are so nice and our cats love to playil with them. They follow our suggestion to feed three cats differently and keep everything nice and clean. Definitely will rebook them if I need to travel out of town.”
“Erika was exceptional! She took care of our two cats for 6 days and did a wonderful job. She was reliable, consistent, and responsive. She sent us daily photos, and it put our minds at ease just knowing our kitties were being well cared for by her. She even checked in to ensure we were back home so that the cats had continued care. I highly recommend her services and would rebook with her again for sure.”

“Justin did a fantastic job taking care of our kitties Phoenix and Cici while we were away! He was extremely professional, communicative, and very thoughtful. 5 stars all around!”

About: Animals have always played an important part in my life. I have been pet sitting for family and friends since I was 10 years old. I have over 30 years of experience in animal husbandry and care. Whenever a family member needs to go out of town, I am the person that they ask to feed their cats and dogs. In college, I took my roommates dogs out for potty breaks and walks when she had classes. In 2021, I stayed for 5 months at a friend's house pet sitting their Chihuahua and cat. I volunteer to walk the dogs at the Guilford County animal shelter every Tuesday. Not only am I a pet sitter, I'm also a pet owner. I currently am owned by four cats and one spoiled pitbull. I just returned from being a Peace Corps volunteer in North Macedonia. My usual fulltime job is TESOL instructor, and this can be done remotely. I am currently not teaching. I am flexible and willing to conform to whatever your pet needs. I'm willing to follow any directions or care that you require for your pet. As a dog walker, I have the equipment to complete the task. I keep poop bags, dog treats, and extra leashes in my car. If I am in your home, I will be sure to follow your directions and keep you posted with pictures throughout the day.
“Leah was great! She came for a meet and greet prior to her scheduled drop-in visits. She was very prompt, did exactly what I had asked for my cats and sent me a picture each morning of my fur-babies while I was out of town. I would definitely recommend Leah and book with her in the future.”

“Karina did a wonderful job caring for our senior cat. She was responsible and had good communication, so we felt our cat was in good hands while we were away. She also took the initiative to clean the litter box without my asking, which was very thoughtful. Thank you, Karina!”

About: Caring for animals is second nature to me, I first began when I was 8 years old, helping my church members at their farms, which turned into me helping my babysitter with pet sitting when she would watch me. As I’ve grown I’ve come to follow her path and have been caring for my friends, family, and neighbors animals and I love every second of it! I’ve always LOVED to be outdoors and I’ve always LOVED to be around animals (sometimes more than being around people lol). What makes me unique in my animal care is my experience with ALL animal types!! As a Animal Science student with a pre-veterinary focus I’ve had years of experience working with all animal types in many different environments, from working with sheep, goats, poultry, and dairy cattle to years of work in veterinary clinics, so your pets are in good and capable hands! I am currently training to be a veterinary technician and have a strong background in animal behavior, feeding, administering medications, bathing, handling, and general veterinary care for cats, dogs, and rabbits. My strengths are in cats and dogs, farm animals, wildlife, and small friends such as mice, rats, and Guinea Pigs; and I am always willing to learn something new to best accommodate the needs for you, your home, and your animals. A fun fact about me is that I was recently Wildlife First Aid Certified at Colorado State University, and that I just genuinely love animals. My method is to treat every pet as if they were my own, which helps me to ensure that ALL ANIMALS receive the highest level of care, attention, and affection while their owners are away. Please feel free to reach out with any and all questions! Pet care fits into my daily routine via my current work in local Veterinary Clinics as well as my area of study as an undergraduate Animal Science Student. My educational background has allowed me to handle animals of all breedings while my vocational experience has sharpened my communication skills when it comes to quality pet care. For my dogs at home care I keep them on a structured routine of waking up at 7am, outside time, food and water, resting, a second outside time by 8am, washing their bowls & refilling their water, and when I leave for work I give them an enrichment toy to keep them occupied (especially my youngest dog). When I get home from work I let my girls back outside, check to make sure none of my stuffed animals have been shredded by the younger baby, feed them a small dinner, and I start getting them ready for bed, at 9pm they get in their beds have a snack, watch TV with me and go to sleep. When I am pet sitting for friends, family, & neighbors I feed and walk their pets at the provided scheduled time and I also make a point to spend at least 5-10 minutes playing with them and getting them some interaction for the day, as I’m sure they miss their family. My goal is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of fur babies, reptile friends, farm family members, and bird companions when their primary family needs someone to care for them.
“Both of my cats enjoyed Mackayla’s visits. One has always been the one who hides but by the third visit he came out from hiding and allowed her to pet him and play with him! Mackayla is thoughtful and pays attention to your home! BRAVA!!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
