About: I have grown up with dogs and adore them. I have signed up with rover.com to offer dog walking and pet sitting on a part time basis after work and on the weekends. In the past, I have volunteered at BARCS as a dog walker and have helped family members & friends with their dogs while they were on vacation. I enjoy dog walking and giving dogs TLC by cuddling or playing by throwing a ball around or tug of war. Most of my experiece has been with small and medium dogs of different breeds, however, I mostly walked large dogs at BARCS so I can help with large dogs as long as they are well behaved on a leash. Patient and physically active throughout the year. Why I love dog sitting * This is an update to the profile information listed below. I adopted a Senior Boston Terrier 4 ago so I took a break from Rover.com. She is older now so it is a good time to get back on rover part time until my schedule changes. I have been a dog lover since I was a baby. My mom told me I used to chase the dogs in my baby walker. My immediate family owned small dogs and the rest of my family owned medium and large dogs. Some of the breeds that I had with my family were pugs and a Pekingese. I have taken care of Cocker spaniels, Yorkshire terriers, German Shepard and black labs who were owned by friends/family. When I volunteered at BARCS, I walked dogs that were mostly pit bulls, rotties and mixed breeds (usually pit bull mixes). My experience administering medication I have experience with routine items like giving heart worm pills and flea & tick spray/lotion, as well as some experience with ear infection medication. I am not opposed to administering medication it if the owner is willing to provide training and if the dog is comfortable with me. I work full time. I’m available on a part time basis in the evenings during the week and on the weekends. If I’m off from work, I’m happy to help as well. I treat other peoples dogs like family. I don’t offer dog boarding in my home because my work schedule doesn’t permit it. But, if I’m house sitting at another persons home, I’ll make sure I’m following the instructions/routine from the pet owner, give the dog/s plenty of TLC, playtime and food. I’ll also make sure the dogs are secure in their owners home, and keep the place tidy.

About: I’ve taken care of my baby- Foxey for all 12 of her years. I also regularly take care of a large dog, a cat and a puppy weekly. I have experience with both big and small dogs, although mostly ones on the smaller side and am no stranger to administering medication. I also once housed a leopard gecko, so I’m open to other animals as well! I work in the early mornings, no longer than 5 hours typically. I have classes some days of the week but I’m generally pretty flexible. I’ve been successful in balancing taking care of pets and my own schedule. I do need Monday nights off as I’m a nanny those nights, but other than that I’m pretty free. I love to pet and snuggle them if they are bed bugs, and I’m also cool to just chill and walk them if they are more of a reserved dog. My dog is very nervous and reserved to anyone else but me so I get it lol

About: We had dogs growing up and we just recently had to put down our adorable rescue pup of 16 years. I miss having a furry companion to walk with. I will walk your pup like it is my own. Currently my schedule it pretty open and flexible. I can walk early in the am through the evening. I am available any day except Wednesdays and Sundays. While caring for dogs in their own home, I will take them on exciting walks, play in the yard, play with their toys with them and make sure they have food if its feeding time and plenty of water. About: I’ve had pets for as long as I can remember. I’ve had the privilege of caring for a wide variety of animals including cats, dogs, birds, bunnies, fish, and mice! I love all animals and I believe they all deserve the best possible care we can provide! I’m currently a stay at home mom with two adult children and one child in kindergarten! I will have plenty of time to play with and care for your fur (or feather or scale or what have you!) babies! I have a small dog and a cat that are friendly and would get along well with other animals. I enjoy walking pets and cuddling as well!

About: Located in Millsboro, DE, (19966) I grew up surrounded by 2 dogs, I love to be active myself.. preferably in the warmer months ◡̈ I will love and care for your dog/cat while you are away, at work, or juggling kiddos. I am prepared to walk and care for any sized dog, My dog Duncan is a purebred black lab and is an ole boy who's lived a few lives.. at 15 years old. My families newest addition is Banquet! About: FYI--Recently retired from the Federal Government. I did a Katrina mission to offer counseling to those who lost their homes. However, I was asked to volunteer in a pet shelter because the pets were abandoned due to the crisis at hand. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I figured I could do it, if I didn't look the pets straight in the eye (to prevent the heartbreak and the tears from flowing). Well, one little doggie who was in the corner of her pen shaking and shivering, grabbed ahold of my ankle as I was walking out of her pen (after cleaning it and feeding and watering her) and she wouldn't let go. She dragged her little butt along the concrete flooring as I tried to close the gate. I broke down into tears immediately and said "okay, I'll take you home with me and the cat in the pen next to you". Yes, I rescued them both... Or should I say they rescued me..from Empty Nest Syndrome. They have brought so much love into my life! My Mississippi Mud Pie (Boston Terrier) has now gone to Doggie Heaven and I want to provide love to other's pets in honor of her memory. My schedule has recently opened up more since retiring from the Federal Government, and I have a lot of time to devote to other's pets and animal care. When a dog is in my care, I provide very frequent walks and cater to your pet throughout the entire time they are with me. I like keeping animals happy and content. I provide a safe, trusting and caring environment. I am very nurturing and provide excellent care and attention. I am very attentive of animals needs.

About: I have a genuine love for animals and understand how important it is to provide them with patience, attention, and a safe environment. I’m dependable, caring, and willing to take the time to learn each dog’s personality, routine, and individual needs. I do have a grasp of understanding canine body language and when they’re comfortable vs uncomfortable. I also have a lot of experience with smaller fuzzy friends such as rabbits and hamsters as well! About: Ive had dogs in my family ever since I was a kid. I have a 10 year old pit mix, a 13 year old husky, and a 1 year old husky, so I know how to care for multiple dogs at once and dogs of all ages, including puppies. I will care for your dog the way you would. I will take them on as many walks as youd like, and treat them as if they were my own. I get along very well with all dogs and I have plenty of experience. I dont trust my dog with just anybody, so I know how important it is to build that trust with your dog and to not change their comfortability and routine. I work part time at nights, so I am free for as many walks or as much play time as needed! When Im with your dog, it will always be my first priority! I can go on as many walks as needed, depending on the age and activity level of your dog. I have experience crate training my own dog if you need me to do that. I will care for your dog the same way as if youve never left.

About: I’m a huge dog lover and offering to dog sit purely out of my love of dogs. We started dog sitting 4 years ago, after we lost our golden retriever of 13 years. Our dog boarding stint didn’t last long since we ended up adopting the first puppy we boarded. We learned they were looking for a home for him and we already fell in love with him! Now that Finn is settled into his spoiled life, we are ready to take care of other dogs and it would be nice for our pup to have some doggie play dates. I would love the opportunity to care for your dogs as if they were my own and a part of my own family. Your dog will get lots of attention, cuddles, and love 💕 Your dog would have free roam of the house and the furniture; we treat them as part of the family. We have a big fenced in yard and my husband and I both work full time from home, so your pup would rarely, if ever, be left alone. Your dog would have free roam of the house. We also allow pets on the furniture, including the beds. We believe dogs are part of the family!
