“Nacho is a very selective Chihuahua who immediately adored Nicole. He exhibited none of the signs of anxiety he generally does when he meets someone new (or even someone he has met several times). He accepted Nicole as one of his special people and behaved as well (if not better!) for her than he does at home. Nicole sent us photos of Nacho napping, taking walks and looking completely adorable while he was in her care; we could see how content he was and were able to have peace of mind while we were traveling. Nacho will definitely be staying with Nicole the next time we need a dog sitter.”

About: It was never quiet growing up with as many as four dogs in the house at a time (plus a cat, bird, hamster, turtles, geckos, and fish - and working at a local horse barn throughout high school and college). It’s not quiet now as my senior rescue dachshund loves to let you know when the mail lady has dared to leave a package on the porch. All that to say, I’m comfortable and have always been around a variety of pets. Since Dec. 2023, I’ve been a volunteer dog walker for Humane Animal Partners (HAP), in Rehoboth. There, I’ve walked countless dogs, ranging from ones who are ready to take on the world to ones who need to know you’ve got their back and need you to go slow. I have experience taking care of older dogs, my first rescue was 9 when I got him and my current rescue is 11 and a slow mover. I work from home during normal business and have some flexibility during the day depending on the day. I can do overnight stays during the work-week, but need to discuss your pet’s daytime needs to make sure it’s a good fit. I’m happy to give your dog the time and attention s/he needs to be as relaxed as possible while you’re away. Between having shy dogs of my own and volunteering at the animal shelter, I give dogs space and allow them time to sniff and warm up to me before we go out. I adopted a Senior Boston Terrier 4 ago so I took a break from Rover.com. She is older now so it is a good time to get back on rover part time until my schedule changes. I have been a dog lover since I was a baby. My mom told me I used to chase the dogs in my baby walker. My immediate family owned small dogs and the rest of my family owned medium and large dogs. Some of the breeds that I had with my family were pugs and a Pekingese. I have taken care of Cocker spaniels, Yorkshire terriers, German Shepard and black labs who were owned by friends/family. When I volunteered at BARCS, I walked dogs that were mostly pit bulls, rotties and mixed breeds (usually pit bull mixes). My experience administering medication I have experience with routine items like giving heart worm pills and flea & tick spray/lotion, as well as some experience with ear infection medication. I am not opposed to administering medication it if the owner is willing to provide training and if the dog is comfortable with me. I work full time. I’m available on a part time basis in the evenings during the week and on the weekends. If I’m off from work, I’m happy to help as well. I treat other peoples dogs like family. I don’t offer dog boarding in my home because my work schedule doesn’t permit it. But, if I’m house sitting at another persons home, I’ll make sure I’m following the instructions/routine from the pet owner, give the dog/s plenty of TLC, playtime and food. I’ll also make sure the dogs are secure in their owners home, and keep the place tidy.
About: I have had cats as pets of my own my whole life. I tend to think I can be a bit of a cat whisperer. I love to follow their lead and allow them the play or space that is needed. I feel comfortable cleaning a littler box and can handle multiple cats at a time. I am also comfortable administering some medication and handling senior cats.

About: I have been around dogs since I can remember. I have two lovely doodles that love new friends. I have taken dog CPR along with other pet training certifications. I am a teacher looking for a fun Summer side job. Since my son is away at college, I have plenty of time on weekends. I have a fenced yard with plenty of toys. About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 5 years old, usually 2 at a time, and am now a proud Dog Mom to Lola, who I bring with me when I am caring overnight for dogs. I am very good with training, and will happily follow your methods and keywords to reinforce good behavior with your dogs. I am also open to caring for cats, fish, hamsters, etc., as I have had various animals as pets over the years. For walks and house visits, my service radius is basically Long Neck, Oak Orchard, Harbeson, Angola by the Bay. For housesitting, I will travel up to 10 miles from Long Neck, and housesitting requests if my dog is permitted in your home as well, of course only when I am physically present. (She rides around in the car with me when weather permits, or stays with my roommate or parents in other cases.) I will only accept overnight assignments when I can bring my dog with me, so only work for 1 or 2 dog households. I currently work as a part-time consultant from home, and part-time as a waitress some evenings. I generally can provide potty breaks every 4 hours, as I have flexibility with my hours, but will be out of the house 3-4 times a week for up to 8 hours during the tourist season. I will care for your pets in your home, or on walks, according to your instructions. When caring for pets in your home, I am also willing to provide additional services such a light housekeeping, cooking or laundry, as time allows, sometimes for an addition fee. I was vaccinated against COVID-19, and have taken one booster. I will housesit when I will be staying overnight and can bring my dog with me as well, as she will stay with me on days I am not working.

Well I’ve been around dogs since I was born because my grandparents love dogs too but I was 8 years old when my mom bought our first dog. Then after that they just kept coming haha! “Kelly is awesome! We went to Ocean City to spend some time at the beach and Kelly is just off the main route coming from Northern Virginia. She took great care of our dog for three nights and sent us pictures at the end of each day, totally unexpected. Besides being great with animals she is just a great person. I don't know how she does it with the entire group of pets she has - but she always looks like it is just another day in paradise! What a wonderful woman. She was super friendly right from the first message and offered to do a meet and greet, which immediately put us at ease. Piper took to her right away! During her stay, Piper had an absolute blast. Michelle went above and beyond—she even took Piper on her boat (with my ok, of course!), made her homemade treats (always double-checking ingredients with me first), and ended the stay with a fun little crabbing adventure and a relaxing bath. For a New York dog, this trip was full of firsts! It’s such a relief to find someone I can fully trust with my girl. I’ve already booked Michelle for our next vacation. 5 stars all the way! About: Hi, I'm Paige! Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is something I truly love. I grew up with dogs and cats, and my parents currently have two 100+ pound Rottweilers, so I'm very comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities. We also bred our female Rottweiler and raised 12 healthy puppies, giving me hands-on experience caring for dogs through every stage of life. For more than 15 years, family, friends and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, administer medication and care for their pets while they're away. I've cared for dogs, cats, birds and small animals, and I treat every pet like they're part of my own family. I know how important it is to find someone you trust, so I'll keep you updated with plenty of photos and regular communication while your pet is in my care. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, comfortable and loved until you're back home. Pet care fits well into my weekly routine! I work remotely on Mondays and Fridays, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, playtime and drop-in visits throughout the day. On Tuesdays through Thursdays, I work in the office during the day but am available before and after work, as well as for overnight stays. No matter the day, I make it a priority to provide dependable care, stick to your pet's routine and keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages. I will leave your place better than I found it and leave your dog happier than before! My dogs at home have been crate trained and I am willing to crate your fur babies as well! Just leave me specific instructions on what you need for the day and you will come home stress-free!
