About: It was never quiet growing up with as many as four dogs in the house at a time (plus a cat, bird, hamster, turtles, geckos, and fish - and working at a local horse barn throughout high school and college). It’s not quiet now as my senior rescue dachshund loves to let you know when the mail lady has dared to leave a package on the porch. All that to say, I’m comfortable and have always been around a variety of pets. Since Dec. 2023, I’ve been a volunteer dog walker for Humane Animal Partners (HAP), in Rehoboth. There, I’ve walked countless dogs, ranging from ones who are ready to take on the world to ones who need to know you’ve got their back and need you to go slow. I have experience taking care of older dogs, my first rescue was 9 when I got him and my current rescue is 11 and a slow mover. I’ve routinely dog-sat and cat-sat for friends and my parents throughout the years. I actually moved back to the area because my parents’ dog sitter unexpectedly left during the pandemic and I quickly came over from out-of-state to care for their two dogs. I never would want someone to experience that and will take the utmost care of your pet! I work from home during normal business and have some flexibility during the day depending on the day. I can do overnight stays during the work-week, but need to discuss your pet’s daytime needs to make sure it’s a good fit. I’m happy to give your dog the time and attention s/he needs to be as relaxed as possible while you’re away. Between having shy dogs of my own and volunteering at the animal shelter, I give dogs space and allow them time to sniff and warm up to me before we go out. I’ll take your lead as to things I need to know about what makes your dog’s personality shine.

“This was our first time working with Kelly and she did a great job getting to know our cats quickly! She spent time with each visit to play and make sure they were all taken care of. Thanks, Kelly!”

About: I have had pets in my life since before I could walk. My oldest personal pet is a 21 yr old cat I've had since she was 4 weeks old. I have spent the majority of the past 7 years heavily involved in animal rescue. I've volunteered at humane societies, taken part in TNR programs and continue to rescue any animal that crosses my path. Currently I have multiple families who's animals I pet sit for. I have a vast knowledge in regards to both cats and dogs and their many needs, from neonates to senior care; I've done it all. I currently work from 12-4 Monday-Friday at my family business. My schedule is very open/flexible to any needs your pet may require. On weekends I work at a horse barn for around an hour in the afternoon. Other than the short time I am there my weekends are very open. I have 5 rescue cats of my own, all with varying care levels. My knowledge and level of care for my personal pets will help me to meet all of you and your pets' needs!

“Thank you so much! Love your enthusiasm with our dogs. We can tell they like you.”

“Sadie loves her visits from Genevieve! She has so much fun and is much happier when I get home from work. It has worked out so well! We will certainly use her again.”

“Rebecca was wonderful with our pups, we recently moved to the area, and were not sure about using the service in a new neighborhood. When she stopped by to meet us and our pups you could tell she was a dog person, asking all the right questions and making our mini poodle and havanese feel like they've known her forever. We would 100% recommend her and use her again. She watched them for the weekend and stopped in 4 times a day. They were happy to stay in their own space! Rebecca was only a short distance from our area. I would recommend her to you also. She even had our pets do a PAW PRINT Merry Christmas card to us, so sweet!”

“This is the 2nd time we used Michele and again she was caring, communitive, and accommodating to our last-minute needs. She clearly LOVES dogs and is respectful of our home. Highly recommended!!”

“Elisabeth did a fantastic job with cat care while we were away on vacation. Great job communicating before & during our trip. It's always reassuring to get photos of our pets and knowing everything is well taken care of!”
