Holiday Pet Care & Drop-Ins
I am currently accepting new clients for December and winter bookings. I offer calm, consistent care for dogs and cats with a special focus on senior, shy, and special needs pets. I take things at each pet’s pace and work to keep routines familiar, low stress, and predictable. Most of my bookings are drop ins, walks, and cat care, and I am experienced with medication, insulin, and gentle handling for anxious pets. Clients value my communication, reliability, and the steady presence I bring to every visit. I tailor each visit to your pet’s comfort level. This may mean quiet companionship, slow decompression time, or upbeat enrichment for pets who enjoy more engagement. I have worked with many different personalities, from Velcro pets to independent cats, from nervous rescue pups to confident walkers, and I always meet them where they are. Clear updates are a priority for me. You will receive detailed visit summaries, photos, and notes about feeding, behaviors, bathroom breaks, or anything I observe around the home. My goal is to help you feel supported and at ease while you are away. I am familiar with administering oral medications, insulin injections, inhalers, ointments, and timed feeding routines. If your pet has mobility limitations, specific handling needs, or anxiety triggers, I am comfortable adjusting the pace and structure of care to match what works best for them. My focus is providing steady, dependable support for everyday care, including drop ins, daily walks, senior pet routines, and multi visit days. I am also available for house sitting when schedules allow, and I work hard to maintain a tidy, respectful home environment during each stay. If you have questions about your pet’s unique needs or want to discuss a tailored care plan, I am always happy to help. I look forward to meeting your pets and learning what helps them feel safe, comfortable, and understood.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and comfort come first. I follow your instructions closely, keep routines steady, and treat your home with the same care I’d expect for my own. Dogs are never off-leash unless in a securely enclosed area, and I stay fully focused during walks (no headphones). For cats, I keep doors secure, move slowly with shy pets, and watch for stress cues. I take everything at your pet’s pace and never force interactions. I’m experienced with seniors, shy pets, and animals who need medications or insulin. I communicate throughout every booking and reach out immediately if anything seems unusual. Your pet’s well-being is always my top priority. Note: Rover adds its own service fees on top of sitter rates.
Ratings and reviews
Jesse is a wise, affectionate, dependable dog walker. Lily responds to her well and they enjoy each other. We appreciate you Jesse!

We have an older dog who is shy and cannot be left in a boarding situation, so we decided to give Rover a try. Jesse is wonderful! She gave our pup the opportunity to warm up to her in his own time, and she took excellent care of him. Her reports are in depth, which brings confidence to the process. She is soft spoken and warm and just exactly what we needed. We are now rebooking with Jesse!
Very reliable and professional. My dog loves her❤️

If I could give negative stars I would, Jessie is deceitful, negligent, and completely incompetent. If it weren't for the Rover Trust & Safety helping us to replace her halfway through the stay we would have had to cut our honeymoon short and come home as we did not trust her to continue to be in our home or near our pets. Short version - she was hired to house-sit, with the understanding she would be at our house the majority of the day most days, she was left very detailed care instructions which she claimed to have read and understood but it became clear that she did not read or pay any attention to them at all. We ended up having to fire her halfway through the stay and have another sitter come in and take over because she couldn't be bothered to feed our senior rabbit his full meals or clean his cage, was taking our dog out for 3-10 minutes a couple times a day, and was gone the majority of every single day. When we tried to have my mother come over and bring additional food for the rabbit and check on the pets since she was never there, she tried to forbid it. The difficulties with Jessie started from the first day she was to have been caring for our pets and continued to get worse throughout the week. 1. On the first evening she arrived later than the intended start time. During the Meet & Greet she told us that Rover was her only job, and while she would need to leave for a few hours a day to do walks, she would be at our house the majority of each day. She said she would need to be gone 3-4 hours each day with one day that she told us in advance that she would be gone all evening and not return until after 10 or 11pm. Instead was gone for 7-8 hours a day, and several nights was out until 1am. This significant schedule/availability change was never communicated to us. 2. She was instructed to clean the rabbit cage 2x/week - Wednesday & Sunday. She chose not to clean it Wednesday - leaving it all week until Saturday. 3. Promised daily updates and pictures - did not follow through. I had to reach out to her to check in after several days of not hearing from her. I told her to contact us with any questions or concerns - through the app or via text or phone call, I also left phone numbers for a few people that were local in case anything came up as we are traveling overseas. She did not reach out when issues arose - instead when I sent a message through the app after not hearing from her for several days only then did she raise questions and concerns. 4. I left pre-portioned meals for our senior rabbit but was concerned that the lettuce might spoil and need replaced prior to our return. We discussed this during the meet & greet and in care instructions that I would leave cash for her to purchase additional greens for him if/when that happened. She indicated she understood and was fine with this. Then when they did spoil, she chose instead to just throw out what had spoiled without replacing it and just not feeding a full meal. She then expressed that she didn’t actually understand how to do something as simple as purchase a package of salad greens for him. 5. We left many regular and special treats for both our rabbit and dog with instructions. We wanted them loved on and spoiled even more than their usual as separation is difficult for them. Instead she chose to not give treats. 6. When we became aware of the problems and lack of time and attention she was giving to our pets and the distress it was causing them and that our senior rabbit was not being fed appropriately we attempted to have family who are nearby assist in their care. My mother purchased food for our rabbit and Jessie forbid her to come by to drop it off. My sister was willing to go by the house and visit with our dog and give him some attention and comfort, which she also tried to forbid. She stated she wasn’t comfortable having someone she didn’t know in our home as she was concerned about someone going through her belongings. We tried to offer a compromise of them coming by while she was there which she again insisted was completely unacceptable. She kept insisting that no one could come to our house because she was concerned they would go through her belongs - huge red flag. It also came across as very suspect that she was so insistent that there were no conditions under which any of our family could come to the house to check in on and provide for our pets - to me that says she was concerned as to the level of neglect and mistreatment they would discover. 7. In her profile and during the meet and greet she expressed that she strives to keep pets on their regular schedule and would take our dog out frequently. We also discussed her taking him to walk around a park or for other longer distance walks. She did nothing like this. She took him out twice a day, sometimes 3x. We paid for live-in house/pet sitting - not 2-3x/day drop-ins. 8. She neglected to give our dog his prescription joint supplement at least one evening and went through a significantly larger amount of the fish oil supplement than should have been used in the time frame. 9. Upon arriving home we discovered that she deliberately broke some of my kitchen utensils - like snapped in half measuring spoons.

Jessie took such great care of my dog, Roddy! She followed all of my instructions perfectly and kept me updated with pictures and messages throughout her stay. I could tell Roddy was happy and well taken care of. Highly recommend Jessie for anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I plan my days around morning, afternoon, and evening visit windows. I offer drop-ins from Saturday through Wednesday and dog walks from Monday through Friday, with several time slots available each day. For house sitting, I am available from Thursday through Sunday. I keep my bookings limited so I can maintain steady routines for each pet and support time-sensitive needs such as insulin injections, medications, and scheduled feedings.
