“Allison did an outstanding job with our two cats! She communicated regularly and sent photo/video updates. She developed rapport with them immediately and even took Hemi for his twice-daily walks in his stroller! She took care of our 80 houseplants and left the house spotless. Would highly recommend Allison and will definitely use her again!”

“Stephanie did an excellent job of taking care of my cat while I went on vacation. She sent updates and pictures to me while I was gone. She completely won over my cat. I highly recommend Stephanie and will definitely book her again for my next trip.”

About: I have always had a big heart for all dogs. They truly are man’s best friends! I grew up with 2 dogs of my own, Melbee and Reese. I watched and helped care for them in the crazy puppy and teething stages, the feisty teenager stage, all the way up into the little old lady stage. They were the most loving, sweet dogs and I miss them so much. I think every dog deserves all the love, head scratches, and snuggles in the world and would love to be there for your dogs when you are taking a vacation or will be away! I helped both my dogs with training for emotional therapy support and was there for both puppy potty training courses! I do work Monday - Friday from home, but I am available as early in the morning as you need and then I am avalible after work. If your dog is older and able to come stay at my apartment, I can watch them during my workday! I am also free on the weekends to stop by and care for your baby as much as you need! My apartment complex does not have a fenced yard, however, they do have tons of open space for dogs to play in, lots of walking paths, and are considered to be very pet friendly! There is more than enough space for your dog to get all the walkies and play time they need. In your own home, I will make sure to keep everything exactly the way you need, clean up after both the dogs and myself, and keep your home in top notch condition. I know dogs can get messy sometimes so If you show me where the vacuum is, I will get right to work! Nothing is better than coming home to your favorite pet and a nice clean home!
“Ben was so great! He took such great care of my pup and was very communicative. I had such peace of mind and was able to enjoy my trip knowing she was in such great hands. We will definitely be using Ben again! Thank you!”

“Annicka was a pleasure to work with! She was incredibly kind, communicative, and easy to talk to. During our initial meeting, she asked thoughtful, detailed questions about our puppy’s care, which immediately put us at ease. Throughout her time with him, she was reliable and kept us well-informed with great updates. We felt completely confident leaving our pup in her care and would absolutely utilize her again, as well as recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive sitter.”

“Tyrese was great. He took care of our dogs and house for an entire week. Kept us up to date every day on our dogs. And when we got home our house was clean, and dogs seemed well taken cared for, we appreciate you Tyrese and will use you again.”

“Reece watched Finn while we were on our honeymoon and was amazing with him! She sent updates with photos twice a day like we had asked and he always looked so happy! He is on crate rest for a leg injury and she took extra care of him!”

“Cortney is wonderful, took excellent care of my spoiled pups, gave them lots of love & everything went so smoothly. Fantastic communication with updates & pics. While the pups were ecstatic for us to come home, they were clearly just happy to see us & not stressed, because they had been so well taken care of. Thank you Cortney!!”

“2nd time using Susan’s in house services for our giant breed and high need pups and cat. Could not be more happy with the level of professionalism and care she provided. Couldn’t recommend Susan more. Wish I could give higher than a 5 star review. Came home to clean house and happy pets.”

I am available most days and very flexible. Easy to work with and very quick responding to sitter requests. Let me help you with all your pet sitting needs. I have a fenced yard to allow dogs to run outside. I love to take walks. I enjoy cuddling and loving on all pets. Very trustworthy and protective of your fur babies.
“Ellie is just as genuine in person as she comes across in her bio. Immediately after meeting her I knew our dogs would be in good hands. She is a true dog person and has such a heart for making them feel comfortable. We were gone for a week and she made sure to send lots of pictures and videos. I could tell just from the pictures that our dogs were comfortable with her. One of our dogs is geriatric and on meds and she handled managing his medication schedule so well. I would highly recommend her and will not hesitate to use her again.”

“He did a great job hanging out with my dane. They got along great and he was in tip top shape when I returned. I could tell he liked him because he was glued to him before he noticed I was home.”

“Joel was fantastic! He loved on our dogs and took care of them just as we do. We have one dog who did not handle us leaving well and tore some things up. Joel cleaned up the messes and was so very gracious through all of her difficulties until we returned. We will DEFINITELY hire Joel again, if he’s willing to put up with us again. Lol. Thank you, Joel!!!!”

“Lynne is amazing! Couldn’t recommend more! I felt comfortable with her right from the start and my dogs love her! Sent updates and photos which we loved getting everyday. Came home to happy dogs and a clean house! Definitely 10 out of 5 stars!!!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 1,066 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Antioch. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Antioch walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Antioch maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Antioch choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Antioch. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
