“Allison was amazing!! She provided daily updates and photos of my pets and took great care of my house while I was away! I would recommend her to anyone and trust her to watch my pets again!”

“Abigail took great care of our senior boy who requires extra attention - meds, mobility issues. Her communication was great, she sent photos of our boy and we returned to a happy dog. Highly recommend!”

“Brandy has dog sat for us twice, and she has been absolutely wonderful. She is reliable, respectful, and truly takes the time to understand and accommodate our requests. Tilly is most comfortable simply having someone hang out with her, and Brandy has been amazing at providing that companionship and making Tilly feel safe and relaxed. It's clear that Brandy genuinely cares about the pets she watches, and we always have peace of mind knowing Tilly is in such good hands. We highly recommend Brandy to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and attentive pet sitter!”

“Ian was an absolute life saver! After another person backed out less than 48 hours before my husband and I were scheduled to leave town for several days, Ian answered my last minute request, and saved the day! He came to meet us and our dog the same evening as the request, and immediately established a rapport with our dog. While we were gone, he kept us updated on how things were going, and was very responsive to requests. I would love to have Ian stay with our dog again, and would highly recommend him to anyone!”

“She is so great very laid back and easygoing. Our dogs love her especially our little guy. No worries when she is here. She is always available and dependable we always come home to a happy house and everything is just how we left it.”
“Danielle did a wonderful job taking care of our 4 pets. She communicated very well before hand. Took the time to come an meet our pets before hand. And then provided pictures and updates each day while we were traveling .”

“Mariah was the most perfect pet/house sitter that we could have possibly asked for. We will absolutely be seeking her services again in the future. Both of our dogs and our cat loved her. With good reason. She connected with them and dialed into their needs exceptionally well. In fact, so well that when she came to watch them, she instantly found 2 tiny ticks on our dog Nova. We look our dogs over for ticks daily, but we missed these and Mariah didn’t. She has an eagle eye for these types of details. She might want to consider being a pet photographer. Each day that we were gone, she sent us the most adorable photos of our pets. This helped reassure us that our pets were in wonderful, caring hands. We returned home with a clean house and happy, healthy pets. What more could you ask for? We highly recommend her services!”

“Worked well with our pups even the one who doesn't like new people. She kept us up to date on what the pups were up to. Followed all given notes. Looking forward to our next booking with her”

“Great job! Last time I had a pet sitter one cat hid for a week. So it’s been a long time. Came home to all the pets acting normal and happy. Definitely will be able to travel again, and Jailah will be my first choice or who she would recommend!”

About: I have been around animals all my life. Grew up on a farm & helped with the horses, chickens, cows, cats, dogs. Currently training a bernedoodle, Dunkin, for the Southern Wisconsin Therapy Dog Association. Dunkin will visit nursing homes, student centers with autistic and special ability facilities, some medical facilities based on needs. If you ask family & friends, they’ll tell you that I cannot pass any animal without affectionately acknowledging them. And only if the animal is willing, I will give lots of love. I genuinely enjoy animals far more than people. ;) I have taken multiple levels of dog training courses. I also enjoy riding the family horse, Apache, in my free time. I have a pretty flexible work schedule but I work most days 8-4:30, M-F I am available before work, after work, evenings until about 10-10:30pm and weekends. Or overnights if booked. In client’s homes, I would use whichever method they prefer. If they leash potty an animal, I will do that. If animal runs in fenced in yard, I will stand in yard & wait. If they have a special request for animal, I will discuss with client if I am capable of said request.
“Susie did a fantastic job house sitting and caring for my spoiled pup Wyatt!! I would highly recommend her. She asked all the right questions so she could provide Wyatt great care and was easy to communicate with for updates. The whole process went very well.”

About: I have taken care of many types of pets ever since I was 13, either my home pets, neighbor's cats and dogs, and even at the humane shelter during highschool. I am currently working part time and would love to meet and care for your furry family members, treating them as if they were my own. I am currently unavailable Saturday evenings or Sundays, but if I have the time, I will gladly give some to your furry companions. Currently, I can only board cats. My dogs are super friendly with cats and kittens of all sizes, since they were raised by one. My kittens also get along with other cats, but they have their own room they can play in if your cat doesn't get along well with others.
About: I’ve had animals my entire life. I have also been taking care of pets for family members and neighbors for quite some time. I love meeting new furry friends and I hope to meet many more I am currently working full time, but I’m looking to move more into a caregiving job, working with animals more frequently. As of right now I can do morning and afternoon visits, as needed during business days I can come to a clients home and provide whatever care is needed, whether it’s taking a young pup on a long walk, or just hanging out with a senior pup in the backyard while they do their business and enjoy some sun. Or even playing with a kitty and some string in the living room.
About: I’ve been taking care of all kinds of dogs since I was just a wee one. We got our first dog when I was 2. I started taking in cats when I was a teenager. Animals just seem to gravitate towards me and we always become best friends. I am reliable, super friendly, and willing to go the extra mile for your fur babies. I work part time as a hairstylist, and hang out with doggies and kitties the other part of the time. Sometimes you might find my head in a book or on a fun diy project. I can be very accommodating to whatever your pets needs may be. I am willing to travel, take them to fun parks, and feel comfortable giving any medications to your furry little loved ones.
“Hailey was awesome with our pups! We have a senior cavalier and a 2 year old lab mix. Hailey was timely and kept us updated with pictures of the fur babies. Very responsive and responsible - would definitely recommend her!”

“Beth and her daughter were wonderful house sitters!! They followed my detailed instructions carefully and there were no issues. Beth sent pictures of my pets and even videos of my puppies playing in the yard. She responded to all my texts quickly with updates as I wanted them. The house was left in perfect order, just the way I left it, and she even washed the sheets and towels they used. I highly recommend Beth and her daughter!”
“Jaden did a fantastic job watching our puppy! She sent daily updates and pictures, and we appreciated how she was quick to text with questions or concerns, so we always felt comfortable with how he was doing.”

“As always, another great sitting! Phillip has sat our old gal several times, she has a hard time with accidents when we are gone (and Phillip never makes us feel like she’s an inconvenience, even though it’s a lot of cleaning). This time, Wiggles was comfortable enough to eat solid food with him (has never happened before with a sitter!) and that’s a true sign of how safe she must feel! Great pics and a happy dog, thanks Phillip!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Anderson
Abigail was such a perfect fit for my pack. Attentive to the needs of my big boy Willie who is so afraid of fireworks. She let me know that one of my cats, Grazie was coughing to get up a hairball- which he did today! All were all so relaxed when I got home. That really meant a lot to me!

Grace was absolutely wonderful with our two shy and anxious dogs. Right before our trip, one of them developed an eye injury that required twice‑daily eye drops, and she administered the drops. Throughout our time away, she kept us updated with messages, photos, and even a video, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that she earned their trust and affection. We highly recommend Grace and would happily have her watch and walk our dogs again.

Mariah is simply amazing! My Vizsla/Weimaraner (high energy, high separation anxiety) loves Mariah every time we have her. This year he was diagnosed with EPI and diabetes, both of which I have all of the trust in the world with Mariah supporting us through it when I’m out of town. Having to support a strict diet routine and insulin twice daily, there was no doubt Maria was equipped to take on the challenge. Her extensive background makes me feel at ease every time I’m gone. No question, Mariah is the girl!

Laura is an amazing dog sitter. She truly understands how to take care of our three dogs . They didn’t lack for attention, pats and love. She brought in the mail and I forgot to ask and the house was all perfect when we came back home! I truly appreciated all the wonderful pictures she sent me while we where gone

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Anderson walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Anderson maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Anderson choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
