“Summer cared for our babies and home in such a kind and supportive manner. She was attentive and provided updates on how everything was going. We will definitely be using her again for future pet sitting care!”

“My dogs and cats are precious to me and I can say without question that Ashley M. took care of them as though they were to her too. She was on time (which is saying something for a 5:15am start time); followed all instructions; and sent me pictures to ease my mind as they were clearly very comfortable with her. Ashley even helped my with an issue in that I couldn't remember if I took a daily medication; when I texted her asking about the container, she sent me a picture of it so I had the information needed. My sister, who picked up the pups to keep them the rest of the day, was very impressed as well. Ashley is a gem and I am grateful for her great care.”

“Morgan was great with my fur babies. I received so many pictures and videos and felt connected to them even while I was miles away! I will definitely be asking Morgan to watch over my babies again and would highly recommend Morgan to anyone!”

“Shannon was so great with Moose and Milo! She took great care of them and kept us updated on how they were doing. She also sent pictures and videos! It was great not to have to worry about them!!!”

“Star fire is amazing! She took great care of our herd and kept me super informed. We have 3 Great Danes and a German Shepherd and they loved her. We will definitely be rebooking her!”

“Aleyah is very professional and caring. She cares for our pups well and is attentive to their needs. We will continue to rebook Aleyah for dog walking and dog sitting services.”

About: I have always been around animals whether they were my own or someone else’s. I have also shadowed at vet clinics and done kenneling briefly at a clinic. I love spending time with pets and taking care of them. I am a college student who is currently studying biology, I then plan to go to vet school. So over the summer and holiday breaks I have plenty of time to care for pets. If they are on a feeding schedule I follow that schedule. I’m also very active myself and love being out side. If it’s nice out I’ll take your animal out to play and walk.

About: I’ve had experience since I was born but I’ve been more attentive and actually working to take care of them since 13. I’m 18 now, I have watched scared dogs, big dogs, friendly dogs, jumping dogs, sleepy dogs, small dogs, and same goes for cats! I have 4 dogs currently, and I freed them and take them out all the time, so extra dogs wouldn’t make any difference I would just do the same with them as I do with my dogs! They would have all permissions as my dogs! I will take them out, check them for tics or anything hurting them if they show it. Feed them obviously! And give them treats on certain occasions, or whenever you say I can give them. I take my time with them and love them with my whole heart! Your dog will be treated exactly how I treat mine!

“Tionna took great care of my dog, respected my house, and maintained my house clean, my dog had an infection in his eyes and she cleaned his eye every day and put all his eyes drops, when I came back from my trip his eye was a lot better. Thanks Tionna! ???”

“Stacey was absolutely amazing with our two boys. She took them for walks and loved on them while we weren’t able to. She was very communicative and sent us pictures and videos of how happy the boys were. When we came home, she had left the house cleaner than when she arrived. I cannot give her enough stars!”

“Hi, we’re Luca, Leonorah, and Jameson! 🐾 We had such a great time with Benjamin while our human was away. He made sure we got all our meals right on time and spent lots of time just hanging out with us. We especially loved the long naps together on the couch — we were so cozy! Benjamin gave us plenty of attention, let us sleep in bed with him at night, and made us feel safe and loved the whole time. We can’t wait for our human to invite him back. Thanks, Benjamin!”

“Anna is awesome! She did an amazing job taking care of our dog while we were away. She was great about texting us updates and photos, and we felt so comfortable that our dog was in great hands. I would definitely book with Anna again and highly recommend working with her!”

About: I have a genuine love for all animals and perhaps a special affinity towards man’s best friend! I have had the pleasure of taking care of and owning animals of various kinds throughout the entirety of my life, from cats and dogs, to ferrets and bunnies! I am able to offer basic puppy training, senior dog care/disabled dog care and also administer medicines. Follow our journeys at themanyminiadventures on IG. I work part time from home and have availability to care for your furry friends doing drop ins and pet sitting! I’m available on short notice and pet sitting has reallly helped me manage since the loss of my Dad and becoming a caregiver for my mom! I treat your fur babies like they’re our fur babies while they are here with the exception of following their diet and your specific instructions. We also: walk dogs on a leash. Play outside. provide potty and exercise walks while leashed to allow for new scents as well. Feed pups separately unless they came together and we have been notified they eat well together by the owner(s). notify you immediately in the case of any abnormalities/concerns or emergencies. provide you with pictures and updates throughout the stay!

Only accepting Spayed/ neutered pets! All pet ages welcome :) My schedule is pretty flexible as I work part time from home so I have plenty of time to care for your Furry family! <3 For dogs I love giving them plenty of walks and playing them a much as they desire, feeding them yummy treats and feeding them as needed! “Grace did a fantastic and professional job house and dog sitting for us. She was able to help us with a last minute request and did so well with our dog. She had awesome communication with details and pictures. She was also extremely prompt with responses and kept beautiful care of the home. We initially thought our dog would be okay left alone, but when those needs changed Grace didn’t mind a bit. We will absolutely be using her again in the future and cannot recommend her enough.”

“Shantae was a tentative on time and really took great care of our two year-old and six month old puppy. Our puppy had no accidents either in the house with her which is amazing while she still is still potty training. Shantae was able to look out for the signs to help her continuously be successful in potty training. If you’re looking for someone who will take care and treat your fur babies like royalty.”

“Tarressa is amazing!!! I contacted her at the last minute when a family member backed out of keeping my pup. Tarressa answered my desperate call and graciously welcomed us in to her home. She showed such love to my baby. She sent pictures and videos and messages to let me know my girl was having fun. I’m grateful Rover introduced us - we’ll definitely be spending time with Tarressa again!”

I was grateful Shannon stepped in last minute to watch our Tess while we went away for a week. She kept in touch regularly to let me know how it was going. I took comfort knowing she was well cared for. I will absolutely be asking her to help out with her again in the future!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Amberleigh Farms walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Amberleigh Farms maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Amberleigh Farms choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Amberleigh Farms. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
