Our dog, pepper, seemed to a grest time. Because it was over Thanksgiving she had a whole bunch of other dogs to play with at this Tover location. She's exhasted.

Lynda was a lucky find. She loves dogs, and has one of her own, so she only takes in one additional dog. She took excellent care of Gypsy. During our trip, she sent us several pictures of her dog with ours, and a short video of the two dogs playing together. We will definitely use her again when next we travel. And I would recommend her highly to anyone looking for a kind, compassionate and expert dog-sitter. Thank you, Lynda!

Kiana was truly amazing. I had a sudden family emergency that required me to go out of state. She went so far above and beyond during that time, while having no obligation to do so. From the beginning of the cats stay with Kiana, she had been so incredibly flexible, she agreed to watch them with only two days notice, and due to the situation evolving and becoming unpredictable, she was more than happy to allow me to extend their stay. She was the direct cause of so much stress relief due to knowing the cats were safe, and well taken care of. 5/5 human. As for her actual care of the kitties she again went well above and beyond anything anyone might think is going the extra mile. The cats were given the space needed to become comfortable and very quickly, and happily adapted to the new routine. I received frequent pictures and videos, she was very communicative, and because of her vigilance we were able to create a plan of action for one of the kitties who started throwing up more frequently than normal. She even went out and bought higher quality food for the cats, and implemented a structured feeing strategy so we could better assess the puking, which I doubt was an easy task since they both free fed before they were boarded. She kept me up to date at all times and provided regular, detailed updates. 5/5 for animal care as well. She is the best sitter/boarder I have ever had any experience with, by exponents, it’s not even close. Her service was head, and shoulders above anyone I’ve personally used before and far better than anything I’ve heard about other boarders. Choosing Kiana to care for your pets should be an insanely easy decision for anyone who wants their animals taken care of at the highest level of care, and wants someone that is just a straight up good human as well.

Katie was an amazing sitter for our dog. If he could talk I'm sure he would tell us he didn't want to leave! Katie was excellent communicator, and sent pictures of our dog enjoying his time away from us. We had a connecting flight cancel and Katie was gracious and professional in flexing what plans I had made initially. We are grateful and will be working around Katie's schedule next time we need to go away! Thanks Katie!

About: I have a lifetime of experience taking care of dogs large and small. Full dog friendly home, I will match your desires and interests with your fur baby, allow animals on furniture and love to be active outdoors. Close to nearby lakes for swim fun, trails for hiking, and fenced backyard to allow plenty of playtime. Pet care is an important part of my daily routine. Each day, I make sure your pet has fresh food and water, gets regular exercise, and receives plenty of attention and affection. I also spend time grooming, cleaning up after them, and checking that they are healthy and comfortable. On a weekly basis, I clean their bedding and living areas, restock supplies, and make time for longer walks or play sessions. Keeping up with these responsibilities helps ensure your pet stays happy, healthy, and well cared for. I provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for pets in my home. My home has a securely fenced yard where dogs can enjoy supervised outdoor play and exercise. If requested by the owner, I can crate pets to maintain their normal routine or provide a quiet, secure space. Inside, pets have access to a large dog bed, and they are welcome on the furniture if that is consistent with their family’s rules and preferences. I strive to follow each pet’s established routine, including feeding schedules, exercise, and any special care instructions, to help them feel relaxed, comfortable, and at home during their stay.

We couldn’t have asked for a better caregiver for Riggs than Ric! He was so kind and loving towards our old dog. He had him outside a ton, gave him great walks, followed our specific food instructions perfectly, and just genuinely obviously cared about Riggs being safe and comfortable. He was also super communicative during Riggs’ whole stay, and flexible with drop off and pick up times. I highly recommend Ric!

Briahna and her husband are so wonderful! They are kind, caring and compassionate sitters. Our dog Gunner is on the "gray" scale of age. They go out of their way to accommodate his limitations (fear of hard wood floors as an example). We are so thankful that we found her - we trust her implicitly with our boy.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Alton home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
