About: I have seven years of experience working with wild animals- mainly black bears, Mexican wolves, and Pacific fishers. In handling these animals, among other species, I have taken rectal temps and know how to count breaths/minute and heartbeats/minute. I have administers fluids and vaccines via syringe, and have drawn blood many times. In between my wildlife work, I have watched many dogs, from a 6 pound chihuahua to a 130 Great Dane puppy. I have stayed in-house and have also stopped by for potty and walk breaks. I can take your dog on a 5 mile walk every day if that’s what it’s into! Or, we can snuggle on the couch and watch a movie. Your pet’s experience will be uniquely tailored to its needs. I am currently being affected by the government shutdown so I am available full time. My season will likely end while it is still shutdown, so beyond that, I will be looking for employment in the area. No matter what, I will be available to walk and sit your pet. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat the pet(s) and the home as if it were my own. Pets receive lots of love and attention and walks and treats, while the home is kept clean. I will bring my own food for the days that I am staying there and will make sure everything that I own is gone and the house is clean when you return.

About: I have taken my mother's lab to trips to the groomer as well as getting her to be patient during bath time. I also taught her to wait for her food to be poured before eating, taught her a few tricks such as, sitting, speaking, and how to walk beside me appropriately on a leash without dragging. I only work part-time for the rest of the year, so my schedule is quite available. I have availability Mondays - Thursdays all day. I can also do overnight stays as well! I have my senior cat roam anywhere in the house, he is mainly outside. However, due to his old age, he is fragile and I don't want to change routine too much, he also needs lots of my attention and affection while I am home. I am willing to come to you instead! reducing the hassle of having to drop-off!

I'm recently retired from a long career as a professional equestrian and horse trainer, and I'm excited to begin this journey of offering pet care services to the community! I have experience with all types and ages of pets ... from very young to very senior. I have experience administering medications, giving injections, and basic first aid. My lifestyle is active, and I'm happy to provide whatever exercise that your pet needs, whether that is a long trail hike, or simply walks around the neighborhood. And lots of love and snuggles of course :) I also have extensive horse experience, and limited experience with other livestock, and I'm happy to provide services for those animals as well. I currently work from home and have an extremely flexible schedule, which allows me to work around whatever your pet care needs are. I have a reliable 4 wheel drive vehicle, so I can get to some of the further out Nevada County destinations no problem. I pride myself on being punctual, organized and reliable, and you can rest assured that your pet(s) and home will receive attentive and loving care.
