About: Since high school I have had experience with normal pets to the exotic! I can honestly say that each animal is an individual that deserves their specific needs acknowledged and met. I do have experience with senior animals that need medication as well as special needs, there hasn’t been an experience that I haven’t learned from! I’ve even read books like Caesar’s Way in order to better understand my own pets and help them. I’ve even been known to be a bit of a perfectionist although that was in my earlier years now I can gladly say am a seasoned sitter! Please feel free to reach out to me before booking my care and I will answer any and all questions! Caring for your family member fits into my routine because at the moment I am a dog Mom of one dachshund with a good partner that loves her as much as I do! I also do volunteer work, which is extremely flexible. Aside from that a lot of what I do is online, which works out great when pet care is involved I will care for your family member by noting all of their needs as well as asking any questions I have about the environment if it was not already covered in our introduction. I like to take notes!
“Nicole and Jarrod were absolute dream sitters for my dog Lola. She is a high energy border collie / Aussie shep mix, and they provided her a weekend of nonstop adventure, stimulation and fun. They truly went above and beyond with their care - sending copious photos, and even giving sweet Lola a bath before pick up. Not to mention their pup Charlie is the sweetest companion to any new friend. Cannot recommend them enough!”

“Alexis's place is in a secluded and safe place with huge lawn and play area for dogs. She is extremely patient and kind with older dogs like ours and has shown willingness to go the extra mile caring for them. Hidden gem and definitely recommendable.”

“Grant is the only one who I trust now to look after my dog. He understands dogs better than anyone else I have ever met. Grant "reads" them, he bonds with them, he sees stuff that I do not (and I have had dogs for decades). His property is ideal for dogs; it is not so much dog "boarding" as it is *dog summer camp*!!! Grant is trustworthy and careful. He is in contact regularly, sending wonderful photos and videos of the dogs playing, sleeping and just being dogs. After I saw what my dog was up to, I booked again. Grant is the best!”
“Pam took wonderful care of Susie !!! I couldn’t be more pleased with her and will definitely have Susie stay with her again. One of my favorite comments was that she treated Susie like a Grand Dog. That was just what I wanted to hear. I would highly recommend Pam !!!”

“Being new to the service we were unsure of the entire process. However, Olena Davyd put us at ease. They sent several pictures throughout the days and answered all my questions. We would definitely recommend to others.”

“Linda is a wonderful host. Our dog stayed with her for 5 days while we were out of town. She provided us with daily photos and some videos of our dog playing with other visiting dogs. She treats her guests like family. We highly recommend Linda.”

“Lainey loved her stay with Amanda! Amanda sent me lots of photos and kept in good communication. She took our dog out on walks and did lots of outside time with her. She was also flexible with pickup time for us!”

“Logan was so great watching Layla, giving lots of updates and pictures and videos of their adventures. We felt very comfortable she was in good care and look forward to her next stay with Logan!”

“Victoriya was amazing! She was available last minute to take care of my dog for 10 days. Because our original dog sitter fell through, I was nervous about dropping my dog off. Throughout my trip, she sent me updates and a lot of pictures. She made me feel at ease and I didn’t stress about my pup while I was gone. I will 1000% be using her again in the future!!”

“Diama and Cody have a wonderful yard and home and were very welcoming to my 11-year old dog. I felt totally comfortable leaving her with them, and I know she was well taken care of!”

“Yolanda was awesome!!! She provided my dog a mini vaca filled with lots of playtime and outdoor exploring! I highly recommend Yolanda’s services!! She was just what I expected! kt”

“Tale’A was great! I would give her 10 stars if I could. She explained and showed me everything about what my dog’s stay would look like. My dog was immediately comfortable with her and her house. Her dog was the perfect match for my dog. I think my dog has a new bff. The backyard is a dream for an active dog. There was plenty of room both inside and out for my dog to roam around and sniff. She made sure he was comfortable and well taken care of. I can’t recommend her enough. My dog had a great time. When I picked him up he was very happy and relaxed. He shows his stress and there was none just a very happy and tired dog from all the playing he did. He snored the whole way on our long drive home. I will definitely use Tale’A when we are back in the area. Thanks for taking such good care of my boy. If you are reading reviews looking for the best place to leave your pet Tale’A is the one you’re looking for. She’s the best.”

“Buttons always seems to have a good time with Amanda and her family. Amanda always sends updates, photos, and videos. Buttons gets socialization skills which she needs. Amanda is a great sitter. I highly recommend her to anyone that needs a sitter.”

“Leslie and her husband treated our Sherman as one of their own! He had a great time playing with their pup and enjoyed getting all the special attention! With the numerous pics taken I can tell he was on his very own vacation! Definitely recommend Leslie!”

About: I have had dogs and cats all my life and have been cat sitting for a friend for the passed 3 years. I can handle giving medication and large dogs. I'm a Preschool Teacher during the day looking to help where I can. 😊 I work Monday through Friday, however I'm off fairly early at 3:30pm everyday so afternoons, evenings, and weekends are free. I have no pets anymore so they will have all the attention! There is a lovely creek that runs through my complex for walks and plenty of toys and energy! And for the older furr babies they are more than welcome on the furniture for cuddles. I also have treats if they are okay for their diet 😊 I have experience with giving medication as well if need be.
“Samantha was fantastic with our babies. This is not your typical boarding place. She described it as summer camp for doggies and it is accurate. The area she has set up for the dogs is well thought-out, clean, and meets all of their needs and more. She took lots of pictures (different subject but her pictures were amazing), kept me updated throughout the day and let me know when my dogs were tucked in for the night. My city dogs got to meet horses, goats, and pigs and I think they had a great time, because they slept for so long when they got home. Im looking forward to their next summer camp with Samantha!”

“Elisabeth is terrific and what a great experience for our dog. This was the first time we've used a pet sitter for dog boarding and would not hesitate to do it again. Highly recommended!”

The median cost per night for dog boarding in Alta is $63

Caprice had a great time! She has a knee injury and Alexis was very good about making sure she didn’t get sore while there. This was my first time using a pet sitter and Alexis made the experience very nice and comfortable. She was great about accommodating all of our requests. Next time I need a sitter I will call her again.

A great experience for me and my dog. Alexis took great care of Hana and provided me with updates. I was very nervous trying to find a place for her. She gets overwhelmed when she's around a lot of dogs and enjoys her quiet/napping time a great deal. She even had access to her own room where she could relax undisturbed. Highly recommended.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
