About: We absolutely love animals, and want to share our home and fenced yard with your pooch. We understand what it’s like to leave your dog with someone else while you’re away; we will treat your dog like a member of our family. I (Diana) grew up on a farm with lots of different animals and dogs, and understand how each one has their own fantastic personality. Just let me know what they need, and I can do it. We’ve had puppies, older dogs, big dogs, small dogs, and everything in between! My tween/teen kids are kind and fun with animals, and will provide even more love and attention for your dog while they stay with us. Thank you for trusting us with your favorite furry buddy! We primarily work from home so we can spend a lot of quality time with your dog. We have a Newfoundland-poodle mix of our own, so our daily routine is already focused on dog care (feeding, walking, letting outside, etc). Just let me know what your dog needs! We also have goats, chickens, outdoor cats, and a couple of feral peacocks that hang around the property. It’s a pet paradise. 😊 We have a large fenced yard and a big goofball named Hoagie to keep your doggy company. We will love and care for your dog as if he/she was our own, because that’s what we would expect for Hoagie while we’re away. We have extra pet beds, food and water dishes, etc. Our yard is perfect for a game of fetch, a sunbathing session, playtime with Hoagie, or just a great sniff. We’re happy to have your dog sleep in one of our bedrooms, take them for walks, and give them all the love.
“Absolutely wonderful person and family for our pup to stay with! Amanda was great at caring for our senior pup and we appreciate knowing she was in safe hands during our trip.”

“Once again Josie had a spectacular time with Grant and his pack! She enjoys running in the field and laying by the fire. It's obvious when we pick Josie up that she is seriously conflicted about staying versus coming home with us.”

“Diane was fantastic with our girl! We really appreciated the photos and great care she took with our German shepherd and already have her booked for another trip we are taking soon.”

“We have only had Mollie since last December. She is a rescue and a sweet girl. We had the opportunity to go on a trip with friends. I wasn't sure how she would do with new folks since we had not had her with other dogs or people. Our get acquainted visit was the best experience for both of us. She was glad to see me when I picked her up, which was great! She had a good time playing with other dogs and running and smelling around their fenced property. A lake and waterfall and lots of good smells made Mollie a very happy girl. She is nine and her vision and hearing are not great but she loves to smell. Thank you to Linda and her husband! They are perfect folks to care for dogs. Kind, patient, and relaxed! We will do this again!”

“George had a great stay with Kelsey! She kept us informed with pictures and comments on how he was doing throughout the time there. We felt very comfortable with Kelsey’s care.”

“We loved having Ruby watch our pup and take such amazing care of him! We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter and felt at complete ease during our whole vacation. She provided several updates a day, with pictures and videos. Thank you so much for taking care of Rocky!!”

“We couldn't have asked for a better person to watch our furbaby. Chico (8 month old puppy) can be a handful and she treated him with so much care, staying in communication with us throughout and sending pictures/updates too. It was his first time truly away from home or around multiple dogs at once and she set our minds at ease the entire time. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter whether it was for just a day or an extended stay.”

“For the first time, going out of town without our dogs was pleasurable because we were able to leave them with someone we trusted. Our two dogs took to Pam right away. She sent pictures to us every day of our babies. When we returned, though they were thrilled to see us, they clearly hated to leave Pam and her husband. We will not dread leaving town again without our dogs now that we have met Pam!♥️ ?”
“We are glad we found Logan in town! We needed a petsitter for the weekend, and Logan was available! She was great, took them on walks, send pictures and updates! We’d definitely recommend her for anyone who is looking for a pet sitter. Thank you Logan for the great care of our pets!”

“Very nice experience for us. This was the first time I’ve had to board my dog and I was worried about her reaction to being alone. Samantha kindly reassured me that she would be okay. There is a large fenced area for off leash play time. Blondie was taken on long walks and was bedded down in a stall in a former stable. She had a cozy bed and a heater. When we picked her up she looked happy and comfortable. We are very satisfied with Samantha’s kind care of Blondie.”

“Alesya was wonderful! She sent us numerous pictures and communicated daily on Mia’s progress while she was staying with Alesya and her family. It’s obvious that Alesya cares deeply about the dogs that she watches.”

“Nicole and Jarrod have watched my pup several times and have always taken such great care of him. They are patient and kind, great communicators and I can tell that they genuinely care and treat Mac as part of the family. In addition, they are just awesome people. I feel really lucky that I found Nicole and family - can't recommend them highly enough!”

“It was my first time leaving my pup with another family ever and they made me feel so at ease with updates and pictures daily. They were so calm even though my pup was very nervous at first. I HIGHLY recommend trusting them with your pup and I would definitely contact them again for boarding my pup.”

“Jena was great! Our favorite dog sitter we’ve used in the area so far. She sent regular updates and our senior dog seemed like he was comfortable and having a good time. Would definitely use again.”

“Kristine and Joseph are great!! They are super kind, accommodating and communicative, and I can tell my dogs had such a great time staying with them. Will definitely have them watch my pups again!”

“Jennifer and family were great!! I think they went above and beyond to care for our dog Chewie while we were out of town for Thanksgiving. I would highly recommend her and will book her again when needed!! Thanks Jennifer💕”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Colfax
I can’t even begin to say how important it was for me to go out of town and not have to stress on how my Brownie is being taken care of. I wanted him to get attention, socializing, and have a good size area to be able to play. 100% got everything I was looking for with Nina and Co. Truely a home away from home for my Boy! Thank you Nina!!

My furbaby was actually sad after leaving Jon's and that makes me so happy. That means he was well taken care of and well loved during his stay because he has only ever been that way after leaving Nana's (where he's very spoiled). I will certainly leave my furbaby with Jon again if I'm making another trip that I can't take Scooby.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
