“Linda is a wonderful host. Our dog stayed with her for 5 days while we were out of town. She provided us with daily photos and some videos of our dog playing with other visiting dogs. She treats her guests like family. We highly recommend Linda.”

“Grant is the only one who I trust now to look after my dog. He understands dogs better than anyone else I have ever met. Grant "reads" them, he bonds with them, he sees stuff that I do not (and I have had dogs for decades). His property is ideal for dogs; it is not so much dog "boarding" as it is *dog summer camp*!!! Grant is trustworthy and careful. He is in contact regularly, sending wonderful photos and videos of the dogs playing, sleeping and just being dogs. After I saw what my dog was up to, I booked again. Grant is the best!”
“Pam took wonderful care of Susie !!! I couldn’t be more pleased with her and will definitely have Susie stay with her again. One of my favorite comments was that she treated Susie like a Grand Dog. That was just what I wanted to hear. I would highly recommend Pam !!!”

“This was my second time booking with Diane and she was wonderful. She definitely makes me feel at ease when I have to leave my puppy Harley and go out of town. She sends updates often to show that my little guy is doing great. I highly recommended Diane. Harley loves her too.”

“Nadezhda (Nadia) and Alex are an awesome couple who welcomed Kenta as the newest member of their family. Kenta was loved, cared for, and pampered by the entire family. Alex and Nadia shared great pics and videos daily letting us see how content our big boy was with them. I recommend them highly.”

“Thank you for watching Marley! You are so sweet and kind and he loves going there! Thank you for sending all of the photos too! I have used you multiple times and I am always happy with your service!”

“Nicole and Jarrod were absolute dream sitters for my dog Lola. She is a high energy border collie / Aussie shep mix, and they provided her a weekend of nonstop adventure, stimulation and fun. They truly went above and beyond with their care - sending copious photos, and even giving sweet Lola a bath before pick up. Not to mention their pup Charlie is the sweetest companion to any new friend. Cannot recommend them enough!”

“Lainey loved her stay with Amanda! Amanda sent me lots of photos and kept in good communication. She took our dog out on walks and did lots of outside time with her. She was also flexible with pickup time for us!”

“Jena and family provided very loving and attentive care of our dog Harper. They took her for walks, played with her, loved on her and were very understanding and persistent in encouraging Harper to eat (she is more into people and play than food). Jena provided photos often showing Harper’s time with them which we enjoyed and appreciated. I highly recommend Jena and would be happy to use her services again.”

“First overnight for our puppy with Ruby and her family! As with the last time Cusco spent time at Ruby’s home, he got so much love, attention, and playtime. I received many photos and videos while we were away, always making us feel comfortable and giving updates! I know Cusco is already looking forward to going back :) thank you, Ruby!”

“I appreciate the communication I received from Leslie throughout our first trial one night stay of my highly anxious, deaf, blind senior miniature pinscher. Leslie clearly has a lot of experience with high needs pets and her competence made me feel more comfortable about leaving my pet in her care. He was high maintenance this visit but Leslie took it all in stride and I’m happy she is willing to take him again in the future.”

“Jennifer took such wonderful care of our boy! We can’t recommend her enough. We got daily pictures and saw how much fun he was having - so much we almost thought he wouldn’t want to come back home! Thank you so much Jennifer”

“Sandy has watched my Charm 2 times and she won’t be able to get rid of us now! Sandy is so caring and gives updates often. I have no worries at all dropping my pup with her. I highly recommend her!”

About: Since high school I have had experience with normal pets to the exotic! I can honestly say that each animal is an individual that deserves their specific needs acknowledged and met. I do have experience with senior animals that need medication as well as special needs, there hasn’t been an experience that I haven’t learned from! I’ve even read books like Caesar’s Way in order to better understand my own pets and help them. I’ve even been known to be a bit of a perfectionist although that was in my earlier years now I can gladly say am a seasoned sitter! Please feel free to reach out to me before booking my care and I will answer any and all questions! Caring for your family member fits into my routine because at the moment I am a dog Mom of one dachshund with a good partner that loves her as much as I do! I also do volunteer work, which is extremely flexible. Aside from that a lot of what I do is online, which works out great when pet care is involved I will care for your family member by noting all of their needs as well as asking any questions I have about the environment if it was not already covered in our introduction. I like to take notes!
“This was the second time Kelsey watched our pup Art while we were out of town, she did an amazing job with him once again! She sent us tons of pictures while we were away of all the fun they were having together. Thank you Kelsey! Art had an absolute blast!”

“Buttons always seems to have a good time with Amanda and her family. Amanda always sends updates, photos, and videos. Buttons gets socialization skills which she needs. Amanda is a great sitter. I highly recommend her to anyone that needs a sitter.”

“Can’t thank Leslee enough for taking great care of Misty and beyond! I was apprehensive leaving Misty with someone I didn’t know personally. It was the first time I tried finding dog care on Rover and very grateful I found Leslee. I was reassured by constant communication, video calls and texts, and I knew Misty was happy and safe. I’ve booked another stay and would do it again. Thank you, Leslee!”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
