“We have only had Mollie since last December. She is a rescue and a sweet girl. We had the opportunity to go on a trip with friends. I wasn't sure how she would do with new folks since we had not had her with other dogs or people. Our get acquainted visit was the best experience for both of us. She was glad to see me when I picked her up, which was great! She had a good time playing with other dogs and running and smelling around their fenced property. About: I have had pets my whole life, and my mom is a veterinarian. I currently have 3 dogs, a desert tortoise, and a bearded dragon and have taken care of goats in the past so I am comfortable taking care of any pet. I am currently working at Target on Bell Road. I am able to take care of pets at your house or take them for walks, but may need to leave them for 4-8 hours on some days. I hope I am a good fit and I can't wait to take care of your furry family members! I am able stay at your house but because I work at Target, I may need to leave the house for 4-8 hours every day. I am able to accommodate whatever your pet needs. And I am comfortable with crate training pets and giving oral medications. Since my Mom works in the veterinary industry she is available if I ever have a question about a pets care.

About: I don't have much professional experience walking dogs. I lived across from a cute pot dog mix for 8 years. When her own went on trips he would have me look after Sophia. This included walking her, feeding her. Cuddling with her. I would also take her on walks to the store or with her owner would take her to the pond or lakes. I have kids who I'm wanting to teach responsibilities to, so when possible I would have them help on the walks or feedings. I'm mostly a stay at home mom. I do house cleanings a few times a week for a few hours in the morning. I also have kids to take to and from school and activities but my availability is still pretty open. About: My love for animals started growing up on a dairy farm in Pennsylvania. I would bring home and animals that I thought needed a loving mom and home. I have owned many animals throughout my life and currently have two German Shepherd Dogs. I used to work more than a full time job a Sheriff's Deputy and employed many dog walkers for my pets. I grew more disappointed and frustrated with every dog walker not providing the care I expected or requested. I'm a full time student now finishing my bachelor's degree and have become a stay at home dog mom. About: I grew up on a large family farm with all kinds of animals. We recently had two senior Shih Tzu's that each had their own special needs. After the loss, we are ready to open our home to new pups! We love all dogs and animals of all kinds. Our property is a large 3 acres. Our large backyard is fenced. We enjoy hiking and long walks. My husband works from home so there's someone always here for potty breaks, snuggles and treats. We do have one friendly, easygoing cat. Your dog must be comfortable around cats. We are happy to give medications or whatever special needs that you might require. My husband works from home and we are generally homebody people. I work about 32 hours a work. I am usually at work at 10 am and home by 5:30 pm. Our cat is self-sufficient and has his own bathroom space with his automatic food feeder and litter box. This limits dogs from being cat box curious.
“Amanda was very gracious towards our very naughty puppy. Apparently, some of the nervous behaviors that we don’t see at home came out with an unholy flourish at Amanda‘s home. But I appreciate the fact that Amanda gave us a full and honest report (which is helpful for us to gauge the areas he still needs significant training) and was very kind about the negatives. The most important thing, though, was that he settled down in the car almost immediately. Our dog is a very nervous dog, so if he has had a rough time at a dog sitter, we know right away because he whines and whimpers all the way home. After leaving Amanda‘s house, he winded for about 60 seconds and then went to sleep. Hallelujah! Thank you, Amanda, for the top quality care you have given to our very low quality puppy. I am especially grateful that Amanda was willing to take the puppy at the last minute, because my husband had a hospital procedure and I had completely forgotten about making arrangements for the dog. What a godsend Amanda has been.”

About: We are a family full of love for pets! My Husband has volunteered at Sammies Friends walking dogs, and at home we have three indoor-outdoor cats, and a Chihuahua named Bella who’s 10 (my Daughter’s). We had to put down our 14-year-old chocolate lab named Yotis a few years ago, and was my Husband’s best friend! My Son’s 12 year old German Shepard Zani passed a couple years ago as well, and she was the best dog addition to this family. We have always had dogs and cats in the home, and all are friends with each other and they each have unique personalities! We have a dog park nearby as well! The oldest cat I have had was a tabby named Chica, and got her at 8 weeks old when I was 16, and she was 15 when she passed!!! Our pets are our fur family and we love them all!!! Kids are all grown up now, and my Husband is gone a lot as a Fire Captain, so I am more than willing and available to housesit dogs and/or cats in your home. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and pets. My Husband works 3 days on, 4 days off and likes to help with your pets as well. He is a Dog Whisperer, and I am the Cat Lady! We love taking nature walks, and have both been on Rover since before COVID in 2019. I am available at any time due to my kids being older now, amd we don’t currently have a dog of our own. I love getting out of the house and exploring new neighborhoods and areas especially during Spring and summer. We have resided in Nevada County for decades! Not only have I owned many dogs at once, as well as cats, but I’ve also been a go to sitter for many other pets for neighbors etc! I love animals and would love to spend some time loving your pet! I am happy to do some light cleaning, bring in the mail, clean up poop in the backyard as well, just ask! Work schedule fluctuates from full time to part time, if you are looking for a pet sitter/dog walker I’m your person! My work scheduled fluctuates which allows me to be flexible with your pets needs. Each drop-in visit is a minimum of 30 minutes with additional add ons (walks, additional time, etc). Just reach out and we can adjust as needed! I have a reactive dog myself and am aware of all of the safety precautions that come along with that. Both for the dogs I care for and any stranger dogs as well. Unless I know your dog well, dogs will stay on leash during any outings.

About: Having animals ranging in all ages since I was 5 has definitely helped but also helping friends and family since the age of 13 has been the best experience. I am available 24/7, our animals are just as important as us so I believe in having time for them whenever you or them may need it. About: I started taking care of friends' and neighbors' dogs after retiring in 2024. My lifelong love for cats and dogs of all shapes and sizes is now my daily passion! It was a relief to me when I traveled, knowing my best friend was also enjoying his time in a safe, loving home. Now I meet new animal friends every week, and it feeds my soul and theirs. Your fur baby will have a dedicated sleeping space, feeding space, and unlimited access to our yard, depending on your needs. Full access to the entire house. I encourage you to bring toys, pet beds, crates, and any other items that will make your cherished pet comfortable. We are comfortable giving medication to older dogs, working with young puppies, and customizing our days to fit your pet's regular routines (such as walks, feeding, medication, and brushing). We have access to a private dog park, but we only go there after discussing it with you in advance. Note: we have an unfenced yard but use sound/ vibration to alert your pup if s/he is trying to escape. No electricity involved, just moderate stimulation. Most dogs learn the boundaries very quickly and without any discomfort.
About: I've been taking care of animals for a little over 5 years including my own animals. I have 1 dog and 1 Guinea pig. I used to volunteer for Mollys Militia which was animal foster/adoption center. During my volunteer hours I would make sure the dogs were fed and had water and were always in good condition living their best life. For years I have used Rover myself to receive pet care for my own dog, so I understand the trust you will be putting in me. I will treat your fur-baby as one of my own while you are gone! I’m currently home full-time with my 3 year old son and our 9 year old dog! I have experience distributing medication and will follow your instructions meticulously! We have a home with a backyard for the dogs to play in! Brutus has a lot of toys and actually enjoys sharing them! Potty breaks can be every 0-2 or 2-4 hours, depending on what your puppy needs. Brutus is extremely friendly with different types of dogs but I can also separate them if that is what you request! Since I have a three year old son, I do require meet and greets before I pet sit any new dogs! I also require the dog to be gentle and have no prior aggression towards children. I only watch one dog, or multiple dogs from one home, at a time. I believe that trusting someone to watch your fur babies while you’re gone can be tough so I want to ensure that they have my full attention, love, and care!

About: I've been the go-to pet sitter and caregiver for family and friends since my teen years (over 20 years) and I'm excited for the opportunity to expand and care for pets in our community! I would leave them in designated areas (yard, crate, etc.) And follow rules and procedures set by the family and spend quality time with your pets.

The area she has set up for the dogs is well thought-out, clean, and meets all of their needs and more. She took lots of pictures (different subject but her pictures were amazing), kept me updated throughout the day and let me know when my dogs were tucked in for the night. My city dogs got to meet horses, goats, and pigs and I think they had a great time, because they slept for so long when they got home. Im looking forward to their next summer camp with Samantha!”
