About: New to Rover, but not to pet care :) I grew up with animals great and small. I've had dogs of all sizes, cats, horses, snakes, mice, chickens, and one skunk. All of my dogs are rescues, so I'm no stranger to reactive dog care and I'm well-versed in positive reinforcement training styles. I love all animals, but I've got a real soft spot for the senior babies. I recently lost my own 16 year old pittie, so I'm comfy in a space that may require a little extra effort. I'm a weightlifter in my free time, so I can easily help any size senior with any mobility issues 💜 I'm starting on Rover after losing my 13 year career in analysis to federal funding issues. My schedule is quite flexible and free, though I do have to be home at night to care for my own four-legged family members While I'd love to offer care in my home, I do have my own pets and introducing new babies to the mix can be stressful for all involved. In your home, I will love on your fur babies as if they were my own. They'll have a cuddle buddy (if they choose), engaging playtime, and treats (if you choose). I also spend quite a lot of time at the gym I own in downtown Charlottesville, so if you'd be comfortable with field trips, I'd happily take them out for some extra socialization.

About: I am comfortable with all kinds of dogs and needs. I personally care for a GSD and a Heeler mix, and am comfortable with rambunctious and large dogs. Both of my dogs practice loose leash walking, and I love using our walks as time to tire their brains as well as their bodies. I can give medications, including subq and other injections. And I’m working on becoming a certified trainer, but for now I do not offer training services. I work a few part time gigs that change with the seasons. I have lots of flexibility to meet the needs of your pets. I generally do not go out of town during major holidays. I have lived on estates as a property manager, and ran my own home repair business for several years. I’m good at handling emergencies, and enjoy fixing things when I have the opportunity

About: I have a large family dog that I have been responsible for since I was about 10 years old. She has since gotten older so I have experience with a senior dog and giving any sorts of medication (and the peanut butter necessary to get her to take it). I am no stranger to having to clean up any accidents in the house so that is a non-issue for me. I am also open to taking care of other animals like rodents or turtles or other cage creatures. I am a true and passionate animal lover! My schedule is very flexible at the moment. I am happy to give as much or little time needed for the pets. I can figure out any scheduling and details necessary with clients. I am never loud coming into a home. I always let the pets come to me unless they are hiding on purpose. I take care instructions very seriously and will follow everything exactly and will reach out if I have questions about the best way I can care for your fur friend.

About: What sets me apart is the level of love, patience, and personalized care I give every pet. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and needs so they feel comfortable and safe while you’re away. I’m experienced with puppies who need consistency, potty breaks, playtime, and basic routine reinforcement, as well as senior pets who may need a gentler pace, extra patience, medication support, or additional comfort. I also provide regular updates and photos so pet parents always know their furry family members are happy and well cared for. I’m able to help out on Monday-Friday or Saturdays and Sundays. Let me know what fits your needs and I will be more then happy to accommodate! I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Especially in their own home. I do not accept boarding as my currently home is renting.

About: I grew up with dogs, cats, goats, chickens, pigs, peacocks. You name it. I’ve been a huge fan of animals since I can remember. I’m super active outside and love taking pups out on hikes or walks. My last dog had to take meds so I’m also extra sensitive to pups that may need more present care. I’ve dog sat and house sat for many years before and just recently decided to give rover a try. I’m also a photographer so pics of your sweet pea will be guaranteed! I’m a photographer so my schedule varies. Sometimes I’m on a shoot or at home editing. I work part time at a restaurant wed-Friday so am unavailable those evenings. I am generous with my love with pets if they want that. If they are shy I will absolutely listen to what they need and let them warm up to me at their own pace. I am clean and respectful of others’ space and strive to make sure your sweet pup gets the activities they deserve.

About: I've always had dogs in my home growing up and love nothing more than our furry best friends. While my current life doesn't allow me to have a pet of my own, I would love to help connect with and take care of yours! I have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds from the smallest puppy to the sweetest senior. Plus, as a photographer, I'll be happy to send lots of pics of your pet while I'm caring for them! My schedule fluctuates depending on the time of year, but I will keep my availability updated on my profile. I am best suited to assisting with midday walks or short petsitting stays. My apartment has plenty of space for your pet to roam as well as a 16,000 square foot fenced in dog park right outside my front door. If I'm house-sitting for you, my goal is to keep your pets happy in their own environment and space.

About: I've been a pet caretaker since I was 12. Dogs quickly connect with me for play, walking and companionship- just like you were there too. I have a very flexible schedule with my JMU classes this semester so I have lots of available time to spend with your fur baby. I am currently home for summer! I am very comfortable using any style leash for walking and using crates. My time with your fur baby will focus on play, fun and comfort

About: I have had a dog my whole life. After my old family dog passed I decided it was time to get a puppy. After months of working closely with my pup she has succeeded in recall, leash walking, show tricks and more! She is great with other dogs and would love to hangout with your pup! I am home for the summer from college with no other interfering work plans so your dog will be at the top of my list every day!! About: I have taken care of cats and dogs for my whole life. I started my professional animal care working as a farmhand, caring for horses dogs and cats from a young age. I have been a veterinary assistant for 4+ years and am comfortable medicating our furry friends. I've previously trained a deaf puppy for a neighbor. By the end of our time working together the dog had confidently learned sit, lie down, rollover and fetch via hand cues. I'm happy to discuss my availability with you to see if I could potentially be a good fit for your situation. My work schedule is Tuesday - Saturday. I enjoy spending time with the animals I care for. I will make sure any medication are given as prescribed, play with them, brush them as needed or requested. I will contact you if there is any concerns for your fur baby. I am happy to send pictures to you while you're away if that is desired.

About: My pet experience ranges from miniature Pomeranians and Yorkshire Terriers, to larger dogs such as Great Pyrenees and Labs. I much prefer to watch cats because although I love puppies, I am a bit biased. I have pet sit for family, that have recommended me to their friends, while they are away on vacations. I have also found work through others who have reached out. I am currently working from home with a flexible schedule allowing me lots of time for other activities! I am available to come every couple of hours, or stay all day! My schedule fits to yours, so you can be carefree. I care for your fur baby the same way you would if you were home.
