I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”

About: New to Rover, but not to pet care :) I grew up with animals great and small. I've had dogs of all sizes, cats, horses, snakes, mice, chickens, and one skunk. All of my dogs are rescues, so I'm no stranger to reactive dog care and I'm well-versed in positive reinforcement training styles. I love all animals, but I've got a real soft spot for the senior babies. I recently lost my own 16 year old pittie, so I'm comfy in a space that may require a little extra effort. I'm a weightlifter in my free time, so I can easily help any size senior with any mobility issues 💜 I'm starting on Rover after losing my 13 year career in analysis to federal funding issues. My schedule is quite flexible and free, though I do have to be home at night to care for my own four-legged family members While I'd love to offer care in my home, I do have my own pets and introducing new babies to the mix can be stressful for all involved. In your home, I will love on your fur babies as if they were my own. They'll have a cuddle buddy (if they choose), engaging playtime, and treats (if you choose). I also spend quite a lot of time at the gym I own in downtown Charlottesville, so if you'd be comfortable with field trips, I'd happily take them out for some extra socialization.

She has since gotten older so I have experience with a senior dog and giving any sorts of medication (and the peanut butter necessary to get her to take it). I much prefer to watch cats because although I love puppies, I am a bit biased. I have pet sit for family, that have recommended me to their friends, while they are away on vacations. I have also found work through others who have reached out. I am currently working from home with a flexible schedule allowing me lots of time for other activities! I am available to come every couple of hours, or stay all day! My schedule fits to yours, so you can be carefree. I care for your fur baby the same way you would if you were home. Meeting before the desired pet sitting dates start is important! Hearing directly from you what you want in your own environment will make sure for the best experience for your pet!

“Alexandra and Logan were wonderful with my (sometimes overly) curious terrier, Eddie! I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”
