“Laura & Charlie took amazing care of my dog during her first daycare!! I really appreciated how they invited us into their home for the M&G so we could see the space she will be hanging out in. They were respectful & accepting of my dogs triggers / stranger danger and followed our instructions for the initial intro. They respected her boundaries and took it slow. For the actual daycare, they sent multiple photo/video updates and had excellent communication. Laura & Charlie are loving dog people with an incredible home. Highly recommend!”

About: Been w/ Rover since March 2025. Outside of that, was casually pet-sitting for friends and family. Doing my best to create a cozy and fun space for pets while the parents are away. Have no pets of my own so I have plenty of attention to give your dear ones I recently started working in reduced hours, as a researcher on weekdays, off on weekends. I usually have to go in-office on Wednesdays for four hours. Your pet can stay overnight or during the day with me. I live in a studio apartment, usually by myself. Sometimes boyfriend is here too. I live in a pet-friendly building and family-safe neighborhood. There is a huge park nearby we can visit for long walks. With the recent heat wave: Yes, I just installed my AC! Also have two fans and supply of ice cubes to cool your pupper 🧊🐶 I have a scratching post and a litter box for our cat friends too 🫶🐈

About: I have been a house and pet sitter since High School while working at a vet’s office and all throughout college. I love a good pet therapy session to keep stress levels down for me and the animal. I have two cats of my own and know how important it is for them to get interacted with throughout the day when we aren’t around, as well as when we have our own overnight commitments to attend. I would be honored to get to spend a little time with your fur baby when needed! I am a fun loving, easy going, and pet (and treat) giving cat mom who loves both cats and dogs! I can’t wait to meet all the incredibly adorable animals possible through this opportunity. I am quite the stimulating pet parent! My cats even knows some commands and tricks. We love some treat giving, toy searching, and you playing in my house! I work for Rover fulltime, so I am always here. I have enough space, and gates to keep 3-5 dogs at a time, if the family is comfortable with other friendly dogs being in the same house with them. I walk all separately unless they are from the same family or the dogs are really good friends. We take about 5-6 walks a day around the neighborhood ranging between 20-30 minutes depending on the weather of the season, and even have a deck with a piece of “grass” where older pets can use the restroom easily or if it is raining, for a quick potty break. We have water in every room of the house, we love to give treats, have crates and gates for alone time if needed, and there is always an opportunity to sunbathe in our house or on our deck.

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong pet lover and totally understand how much your furry friend means to you. I’ve done quite a bit of dog training over the years, so I’m super comfortable with all kinds of animals. When your pet is with me, you can trust they’ll get the same love and attention you’d give them yourself. For house stays, I know it can feel a little strange having someone new in your space. That’s completely normal. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable. During a typical stay, your pet can expect 2 to 3 walks a day, lots of playtime, and plenty of cuddles. I always stay overnight to help your pet feel safe and secure while you're away. If you have small household tasks like taking out the trash or watering plants, I’m happy to help. Just let me know ahead of time so we can plan. A little about me: I’m currently a pet parent to Franklin, my very energetic mini Schnauzer. He’s used to hanging out at home alone for stretches of time, so during house stays I plan to be at your place most of the time. That said, he's very social and if you'd like your dog to have some socialization while away, I'm happy to make arrangements with your permission. I work from home Monday, Tuesday, and Fridays. I am not available for daycare, walks or drop-ins on Wednesday and Thursday. I can be booked for house stays but you dog will need to be able to go for about 8-9 hours without a potty break on those days. This is something I'm happy to discuss before booking. At the end of the day, your peace of mind and your pet’s happiness are what matter most to me. Shoot me a message if you have any questions. I work from home Monday, Tuesday, Friday and have weekend availability. During the work week I'm available for lengthy afternoon walks and playtime. I love taking my dog to the park and am happy to do the same for your pet with advance permission. During the weekend my schedule is flexible to accommodate you with enough advance notice. I have a small fenced in yard and am walking distance to Horner and Welles Park. I have a 3 year old mini schnauzer who is full of sass. He loves other dogs so any animal I bring into my home will need to be ok around other pets. Depending on your pet's needs I have a spare bedroom that I can use to keep you furry friend safe. I also have experience with crate training and am happy to enforce this if requested.

For pets with separation anxiety - I will be sure to confirm with you if/how your pet can handle me being away from home for more than 30-60 minutes. ~ CARE AND COMMUNICATION: I am as communicative as you, the pet parent, asks me to be. My default is to send daily detailed updates on the activities with your pet as well as send several photos and videos of your pet in action! I am easily reachable by text during the service window and during booking. For care in clients’ home, I typically ask for: - Access to food/bowls/leashes/poo bags/toys/ etc - Any misc chores that need doing (watering plants, bringing in mail, etc). - Vet info/transportation (I don’t own a car) - How to respect your space (shoes on/off, areas off limits in home, etc) For care in my home: I live on the second floor of a two story walk-up with space to run around and play both indoors and outdoors. K9 UniversityLocal facility
“My dog has been going to K9 University for about 8 years. When I’m out of town or not I take him there for doggy daycare. They take care of his grooming. I also have enrolled my dog into their classes for nose work, agility and obedience and my dog absolutely loves it. I am also satisfied with the results and experience of K9 University INC. Their staff members are well trained and they all practice the same delivery of services, for instance, what one staff members provide in quality customer services so does the remaining 5 staff members, therefore the quality you receive from this company isn’t compromised; moreover, they go above and beyond. They are all very professional and possess a wonderful attitude – they look very happy to be there. I’ll most definitely recommend using K9 University INC.”

Lauren took the time to get to know my pets and their routines, and she made sure to follow all of their special instructions. She also went above and beyond by bringing in my mail, watering my plants, and making sure everything was in order when I returned. I highly recommend Lauren for cat and dog sitting. Rummi G.
“Rummi is a reliable and conscientious petsitter and is great with animals! She gets along well with friendly or shy pets--I have two cats with very different personalities and she was great with both. She always spent lots of time playing and petting them, and was patient with my very shy cat--Rummi is now one of the few people that cat allows to pet her! No worries about flakiness or forgetfulness, your pets and your home will be in good hands.”
Albany Park dog parents share their Rover experiences
Even though the other dogs were bigger, Chachi was not scared and in fact he loved them and got along with them great. They were all gentle dogs and knew Chachi was small. He even shared beds with the big dudes and went out for play time. Chachi wants to return soon and meet up with the same pack again because Ian made him feel at home and comfortable. Chachi had all the pillows, blankets and belly rubs he needed.

Angela was amazing caring for our dog! We needed a sitter for 3 days, and Angela was very accommodating with drop off and pickup times. She played with our mini Aussie so much, which was perfect for her energetic breed. Our dog loved going back to her place the next day because of how much fun she had the day before! I’m glad she didn’t give Angela too much of a hard time, and we are so thankful Angela was understanding of her routine and her anxious behavior at the start. Angela was also so responsive, making it easier to coordinate and receive updates. We will definitely be looking for Angela the next time we need a sitter in the Logan Square area!

So glad I found Sarah and Walter! I’ve been using their doggy day care and boarding services for a couple of years now and there’s no one I trust more with my dog Waylon. They are both very caring, trustworthy, communicative, and treat him like he’s family. Couldn’t ask for better sitters!
