They were respectful & accepting of my dogs triggers / stranger danger and followed our instructions for the initial intro. They respected her boundaries and took it slow. About: At Stay, your pet’s safety and wellness are our top priority. Our staff is trained in dog behavior, CPR, and first aid. All dogs undergo a temperament test to ensure they are comfortable and safe to join our groups. We consider size and temperament offering a variety of options to meet each dog's needs. Our facility has 24-hour surveillance and is climate-controlled for comfort. We uphold high hygiene standards, with daily cleaning and disinfecting of kennels and playrooms. All water bowls and blankets are washed daily, and we use medical-grade air purifiers to enhance air quality.

About: Our experienced and trained team closely monitor all interactions to ensure a safe and controlled environment. We maintain small play groups and each playtime is closely supervised ensuring playtime remains fun and safe for everyone. We keep a very clean and positive environment and we monitor all pets for signs of illness or injury throughout their stay. While we take every precaution to prevent accidents, we are prepared to handle emergencies should they arise. We believe in transparency and open communication with pet parents. We send our daily report cards that includes who your pet played with, what were their favorite activities, photos and videos. Most importantly, we have scheduled nap times between long playtimes to encourage a happy and well rested dog that’ll promote good socialization and play behavior!

About: Our trained and loving staff provide quality care. We have a rigorous first day evaluation/ 'interview' process for all dogs in our care to ensure only the most well behaved and social pups are approved to be in playgroup. We keep small playgroups of 15 to 20 dogs. We take hourly potty breaks, have toy playtime, outdoor mini pool pawties in the summer to keep cool, and so much more!

About: Been w/ Rover since March 2025. Outside of that, was casually pet-sitting for friends and family. Doing my best to create a cozy and fun space for pets while the parents are away. Have no pets of my own so I have plenty of attention to give your dear ones I recently started working in reduced hours, as a researcher on weekdays, off on weekends. I usually have to go in-office on Wednesdays for four hours. Your pet can stay overnight or during the day with me. I live in a studio apartment, usually by myself. Sometimes boyfriend is here too. I live in a pet-friendly building and family-safe neighborhood. There is a huge park nearby we can visit for long walks. With the recent heat wave: Yes, I just installed my AC! Also have two fans and supply of ice cubes to cool your pupper 🧊🐶 I have a scratching post and a litter box for our cat friends too 🫶🐈

About: At K9 University, we have comprehensive safety guidelines and cleaning protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of all dogs in our care. All team members complete extensive training in canine behavior, cleaning, sanitizing, and emergency protocols to ensure all standards are met in our facility daily.  Kennel attendants are always present in the playgroup to proactively manage the dogs; attendants are skilled in identifying behavior signals and de-escalating interactions in group, while also ensuring a fun & positive experience for all our canine clients. Our facility is equipped with large, secure kennels and dogs can take advantage of our spacious runs and kennels for both play and rest time. Our facility is staffed 24/7 by trained team members, as well as equipped with video surveillance and secure fencing in all play areas.

About: I have been a house and pet sitter since High School while working at a vet’s office and all throughout college. I love a good pet therapy session to keep stress levels down for me and the animal. I have two cats of my own and know how important it is for them to get interacted with throughout the day when we aren’t around, as well as when we have our own overnight commitments to attend. I would be honored to get to spend a little time with your fur baby when needed! I am a fun loving, easy going, and pet (and treat) giving cat mom who loves both cats and dogs! I can’t wait to meet all the incredibly adorable animals possible through this opportunity. I am quite the stimulating pet parent! My cats even knows some commands and tricks. We love some treat giving, toy searching, and you playing in my house! I work for Rover fulltime, so I am always here. I have enough space, and gates to keep 3-5 dogs at a time, if the family is comfortable with other friendly dogs being in the same house with them. I walk all separately unless they are from the same family or the dogs are really good friends. We take about 5-6 walks a day around the neighborhood ranging between 20-30 minutes depending on the weather of the season, and even have a deck with a piece of “grass” where older pets can use the restroom easily or if it is raining, for a quick potty break. We have water in every room of the house, we love to give treats, have crates and gates for alone time if needed, and there is always an opportunity to sunbathe in our house or on our deck.

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong pet lover and totally understand how much your furry friend means to you. I’ve done quite a bit of dog training over the years, so I’m super comfortable with all kinds of animals. When your pet is with me, you can trust they’ll get the same love and attention you’d give them yourself. For house stays, I know it can feel a little strange having someone new in your space. That’s completely normal. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable. During a typical stay, your pet can expect 2 to 3 walks a day, lots of playtime, and plenty of cuddles. I always stay overnight to help your pet feel safe and secure while you're away. If you have small household tasks like taking out the trash or watering plants, I’m happy to help. Just let me know ahead of time so we can plan. A little about me: I’m currently a pet parent to Franklin, my very energetic mini Schnauzer. He’s used to hanging out at home alone for stretches of time, so during house stays I plan to be at your place most of the time. That said, he's very social and if you'd like your dog to have some socialization while away, I'm happy to make arrangements with your permission. I work from home Monday, Tuesday, and Fridays. I am not available for daycare, walks or drop-ins on Wednesday and Thursday. I can be booked for house stays but you dog will need to be able to go for about 8-9 hours without a potty break on those days. This is something I'm happy to discuss before booking. At the end of the day, your peace of mind and your pet’s happiness are what matter most to me. Shoot me a message if you have any questions. I work from home Monday, Tuesday, Friday and have weekend availability. During the work week I'm available for lengthy afternoon walks and playtime. I love taking my dog to the park and am happy to do the same for your pet with advance permission. During the weekend my schedule is flexible to accommodate you with enough advance notice. I have a small fenced in yard and am walking distance to Horner and Welles Park. I have a 3 year old mini schnauzer who is full of sass. He loves other dogs so any animal I bring into my home will need to be ok around other pets. Depending on your pet's needs I have a spare bedroom that I can use to keep you furry friend safe. I also have experience with crate training and am happy to enforce this if requested.

I also serve a 1 hour radius from the Kimball Brown Line via CTA. ~ SCHEDULE: I work from home full time, so I am able to follow any and all instructions and schedules regarding walking, playing, feeding, medicating, or other requested activities. For pets with separation anxiety - I will be sure to confirm with you if/how your pet can handle me being away from home for more than 30-60 minutes. ~ CARE AND COMMUNICATION: I am as communicative as you, the pet parent, asks me to be. My default is to send daily detailed updates on the activities with your pet as well as send several photos and videos of your pet in action! For care in clients’ home, I typically ask for: - Access to food/bowls/leashes/poo bags/toys/ etc - Any misc chores that need doing (watering plants, bringing in mail, etc). - Vet info/transportation (I don’t own a car) - How to respect your space (shoes on/off, areas off limits in home, etc) For care in my home: I live on the second floor of a two story walk-up with space to run around and play both indoors and outdoors. I live in a very animal-friendly home and neighborhood.
