While living with my dad in New Bedford, I helped care for his pitbull and spent time with our goldendoodle, too. “Ixia was absolutely wonderful with our Pointer/Pit mix, Crimson. This was our first time using Rover, and our first time leaving our dog for an extended period of time. (We had to take a trip out of state on short notice.) From the get-go, Ixia was very professional and attentive during our phone consultation - taking notes, checking details, learning the little intricacies of Crimson's routines. Crimson also has a torn ACL, so special care has to be taken during daily activities to ensure the injury doesn't worsen. Ixia was very reliable, responsive, and communicative with us the entire time. She was on time for every visit, sent us pictures of our pup, played with her, spent lots of time in the yard, and even went above and beyond to accommodate some extra drop-ins we hadn't originally planned. We were very impressed and thankful for the loving care that she provided our animals and by her professionalism and communication. 11/10 recommend, and will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 15! I’ve had pets all my life growing up though! My neighbors, friends, and family, have relied on me to feed, walk, play, and give cuddles to their pups! I currently am working part time as I just started a new job, so i’ll have plenty of time to play with your pup and get them some exercise! My home has a fenced in dog park that i’m sure your dog would love to run around in and get some energy out! About: We’ve both had dogs our entire life and can’t see life any other way! Together we raised our current dog (Omaha) since he was just 10 weeks and are always excited to have additional dogs around. We are definitely a “dog dad duo” and we’d like to think we’re pretty good at it! Both of us are around during the day (one works from home and the other works nights). We have walking/nature trails literally in our backyard and they are very shaded (for those hotter summer days) and we also have a dog park on-site and close (if you’re comfortable with your dog(s) playing with others). Either way, we’re both around consistently to ensure your dog has a fun, comfortable stay. We have a spacious 2 bedroom apartment, nice shaded balcony and, as mentioned, access to trails and parks on-site. Whether your dog is active or more content to lounge around, we’re happy to accommodate. Additionally, we’re both very communicative and able to get updates out that meet your needs. We both are home during the week (one of us works nights and the other works remotely); meaning your dog(s) will always be well taken care of! We love to offer a nice cool apartment for your senior dogs to chill in, our on-site dog park and/or natural trails for your more active pups. We’re both very active with our own dog (Omaha) so we look forward to welcoming your family members too! Most importantly, we want to know how YOU care for your dog(s) at home so that we can try to incorporate as much of the same at our home! If your dog has certain quirks or special needs, we want to make sure that we are well aware so your pet has a fantastic stay. End of the day, we just hope to offer a comfortable, fun stay for your pet while you’re away for a day, week or longer.

About: I have taken care of dogs and all kinds of pets since I was young, and professionally for the past 19 years. I love animals of all shapes and sizes and I am excited to meet yours I can be available for pet care needs during the morning and early afternoon most days, and select evenings. I can be flexible based on requests. I have many pets of my own who are members of the family, and yours would be no different. About: I started caring for animals back in 2010 walking and pet sitting my art teacher's dog. Then, in 2016, I began volunteering at a horse boarding facility. I spent a winter there learning how to bathe, feed, turn out, clean up after and care for horses. I learned about their different personalities and eventually tried riding (I wasn't very good at it.) Since then I have been looking for more opportunities to spend time with animals! I currently volunteer at a local animal shelter, assisting in the well-being of rescue cats and dogs. We play outside, go for walks, and socialize! Safe handling and open communication with fellow volunteers and pet owners is always a priority. General care such as cleaning, laundry, and medication administration are also things I can assist with. I have two beautiful black cats at home named Luna and Cleo. They are very vocal and sweet, and I love spending time with them. They love treats and bird TV. We are also fostering a small cat named Rosie who needs a little extra patience. She is a very loving cat overall, but is still getting used to her new environment. As far as my schedule, I work a regular job during the week, and on weekends I volunteer at an animal shelter. Im looking to fill gaps in my schedule by spending more time with animals and gaining as much experience as I can. Weekends and nights are open for me to take jobs helping with other peoples animal friends. I am comfortable crating your dog if needed, and am also comfortable around anxious or stressed animals. I will be diligent in keeping all the animals safe from harm by paying close attention to their body language, behavior, and their individual needs.

About: Hi! I’m Dana and I love pets! I have had dogs and cats in my family for as long as I’ve been alive. My current pup is a 8 year old chihuahua-mix rescue named Bella who is a ball of energy! I have experience with dogs of all sizes, from boxers and pit bulls to chihuahuas and dachshunds! I am available for overnight sitting in your home, dog walks, and drop in visits. I am happy to send pictures and updates from our visits to keep your mind at ease I would love to watch your dog while you are away from home, take them for walks, or just drop in for potty breaks and some quick kisses! I have always treated my pets like my children, and will do the same for yours! I work M-F until 4pm; outside of those hours I’m very flexible! I can work with you to find what schedule is best for you and your four-legged family. When caring for pets in your home, I just need a rundown of what you expect from me to make you and your pets the most comfortable. Whether it be long walks or play time in the back yard, special treats or snuggles i will do my best to make sure they are cared for in the manner they are accustomed to.

About: I would love to be able to spend my extra time taking care of animals. I have been taking care of many pets since I was younger, including cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, lizards, and chickens. I have dogsat many times before as well as taken them for walks. I'm a very energetic person so I would have no problem running around and playing with any pets. However, I also would not mind relaxing and giving attention to an older pet who just needs some care and company. I have my own car so transportation is not a problem, and I am also willing to transport pets if needed. Some of my other hobbies include several different art projects, photography, hiking, yoga and dancing. About: My life has included dogs for as long I can remember and I have always seemed to read them intuitively, including “problem dogs” that others have difficulty interacting with. I have extensive personal dog handling and grooming experience over the past 25 years and have owned up to 6 dogs at a time. I am able to care for dogs according to their owner’s needs and requests. This may include administering medication, changing diapers, feeding, walking or just spending time with.
