“Leah and her boyfriend Fletcher regularly dogsit at our family farm. She has been an employee of mine for years now but our relationship extends way beyond the workplace environment. We regularly see them on a social level, we don’t just solely expect them to look after our farm. Despite there being 30 years between us in age, I consider Leah and Fletcher best friends of ours and I wouldn’t leave the safety and care of all my animals in the hands of anyone else. Our dogs in particular don’t take instantly to anyone and bark regularly at any guests visiting, even my sisters and sons, but with Leah it’s a different story. They don’t bark or hide and they even fight to sit on her lap the second she sits down which is totally unheard of. My husband and I were rightfully taken aback the first time this happened and from that point I just knew the subconscious bond she has with animals. About: I have a 10 year old dog, and 10 years of personal experience of loving, caring and treating her as the family member that she is. I am a very active person and know many amazing walks around my area, you can rest assured that your dog will be well exercised and tired out when they return to you( in a good way!). I always remember that while most people see taking their dog out as a chore or something they have to do, that walk is the best part of the day for the dog, the thing they look forward to. For this reason it becomes the best part of my day too, and no walk will be short lived or boring. I also have some experience training dogs and puppies, through training my own. I know how to train basic skills like obedience, sitting, laying down, rolling over, and best of all high fives. I also trained my dog some key walking skills for when we are out, for example walking on a lead, stopping and staying at roads before crossing, fast and slow commands on the lead and returning when off the lead and called. If you have a puppy or dog who needs a little training I am happy to get involved and try and help. I currently work part time in after school clubs, for just a couple of hours a day Monday to Friday. I am out of the house from 2.30 to 4.30pm ish. I have the rest of the day at home so have plenty of time to care for, walk and train your doggies. If your dog is okay with being left alone for 2 hours at the most, I can board any day of the week and anytime. If your dog is not okay with being left alone for this length of time I can board on weekends where I have no work and all my time for your dog :) I have a fenced garden which they can explore, with no worry of them escaping. It is a fairly large garden with a small beck for them to splash in! I will walk them twice a day, or as specified by you, along with my own lovely dog to keep them company. If you provide me with feeding times and any specific details you would like me to follow, so that we can make their experience as homelike and comfortable as possible, that would be great and I will follow exactly.

About: I’ve never been without a dog throughout my life, and we’ve always been happy to host friends pups as well :) I’m a lover of long walks out in nature and cuddles on the sofa (probably why my lurcher and I get along so well), although I’m happy to spend the time doing whatever takes your furry friends fancy. I’ve looked after friends and family’s dogs for over 5 years and have experience with horses and other farm animals. I work daily from 0830 till 1630 but usually have a long lunch, start late Mondays and finish early Fridays. I’m available the majority of weekends, if your dog needs lots of exercise we should be quick friends heading out for longer walks or runs. Equally I can enjoy a spin around the block on a slower day. I’ll look after your pet in the comforts of their own home, respecting yours and their space and ensuring that it stays tidy and clean for your return home.

“Alyssia has looked after my 3 year old working cocker spaniel, Stan, on a number of occasions. Being a cocker spaniel Stan has a lot of energy, requiring a lot of attention and lengthy walks. Due to Stan’s boundless energy and tendency to run quite far on walks, there are few people I would trust with him but I do trust Alyssia. She has always been able to meet the needs of Stan, taking him out and allowing him to charge around off lead whilst also being responsible and judging when it is appropriate for him to be back on his lead. Alyssia always strikes the balance of giving Stan the attention he needs whilst knowing when to give him the space and time to calm down. Something which is essential with working cocker spaniels. Stan is always happy and excited to see Alyssia, bringing his toys to greet her. I would recommend Alyssia to friends and family going forward. She is friendly, trustworthy and reliable and has allowed me to navigate my hybrid working pattern.”

About: I have taken care of pets since very young. I grew up with cats and dogs all my life. I am very drawn to animals, especially cats and quickly establish a bond with them. I have taken care of neighbours and friends' pets in the past. I have experienced working in a dogs kennels for a relative. I have 3 cats who I consider to be part of my family. They received the best treatment and lots of love. Looking forward to meet your pets and offering them the best care. I am currently available for drop in visits and potentially house sitting. I work flexible hours at my job so I can arrange my own schedule. I will prefer to meet you and your pets before taking care of them. “We cannot recommend Alysha and Tom highly enough. My husband and I went abroad for the first time in 9 years. We hadn't wanted to go before as we would, of course, have to leave our 3 dogs (our babies). However, Alysha and Tom are the only people we will trust with our babies. We were in constant contact with Alysha and Tom who always responded and reassured us immediately putting our minds at rest. We asked for regular photos and videos, we got them. We saw our babies being spoilt, keeping them occupied so they didn't miss us too much, they were loving the constant care and attention and endless love they were getting from Alysha and Tom. We left a long list of our babies medications and came back to a detailed list of every medication given. We also made notes for them of their favourite things to do and play, they sent us many videos of playtimes and all the fun they had together. We came home to an exceptionally clean and tidy house with freshly made bed and bedding washed, even buying us in some milk, bread, bacon and buns so we didn't have to go to the shop immediately on our return and could just concentrate on enjoying seeing our babies again. Alysha being a veterinary nurse was also such a reassurance for us. Alysha kindly trimmed the babies nails and cleaned their ears, giving them their luxury treatments aswell. They understand how Irreplaceable and important our babies are to us and they genuinely loved spoling and caring for them. Very highly recommend.”

About: I've taken care of dogs of all kinds since I was 12. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and look after there pets. I love animals and appreciate all the time spent with them. I enjoy taking long walks outside and exploring new parts of nature. I work part-time on Saturday and Sunday at an art shop in Skipton. I am free at any time during the day on Mondays to Fridays. I care for animals by being attentive to their individual needs. I like to take dogs on long walks and I try to change up the location every now and again. That way the dog can get as much stimulation as it needs to feel happy and not get bored. When I'm pet sitting, I take care to follow their routine. Dogs and cats are usually a bit sad/confused when their owners have gone away. I try to spend as much time with them and play with them to keep them stimulated and happy.
