“Steph L. took care of my 2 dogs and cat for 3 weeks. It was one of the toughest 3 week’s environmentally in the DMV. We had all that rain. Then we had 2 rounds of snow/school closings. Temps were single digits. Through it all, Steph L. dealt with it like a trooper. She never complained. She helped with the water. She helped with the shoveling. The dogs were walked twice daily. The indoor/outdoor cat was allowed to roam and come in and out as she pleased (as she does normally). Finally she organized the house and left if cleaner than I had given it to her. Everything was immaculate.”

“My dog Enzo (~70 lbs) has severe anxiety and I’m not able to bring him anywhere as a result, and is also incredibly clingy and attention hungry. The combination has not made it easy to find care for him to say the least! Recently I had to travel for work and family wasn’t around this time to help, so I tried to find someone to house sit so he would at least be in his element. I was incredibly nervous for his behavior, but it was unnecessary because Mia was AMAZING with Enzo from the start. She was incredibly patient and sweet with him, thorough with her communication, sent lots of videos and pictures, and even made sure my home was okay. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and she’ll be back in the coming weeks!”

“I have known Hana almost my entire life. I have never seen someone who cares for animals more than she does. I would have zero issues leaving my dog with her, although sometimes I feel like my dog likes her more than me, but that's besides the point. She knows how to care for her dog and treats all dogs whether she's looking after them or not as part of the family. She teaches me a lot about doggy maintenance and shows me how to do it with the least amount of stress for both myself and my dog.”

About: I’ve had experience taking care of dogs since I was 13. Aside from caring from my own dog, I have care for the dogs (and cats!) of family and friends, walking them, dog sitting at their homes, or dropping for walks, feeding and play time. I’ve had plenty of experience working with puppies and senior dogs, particularly with my own dog who experienced many health issues in his older years. I work from home, and have a relatively flexible schedule. That being said, my availability is largely after 3pm during the weekdays or mornings and afternoons on Saturdays, but I am able to drop in visits and walks during the day as well, schedule allowing! I typically care for pets in the pet parents home based on the pet parents guidelines. I like to ask pet parents as many questions as possible to make sure I try to maintain as close a routine as possible for the pet while they are in my care. This include walking and feeding schedules, how much playtime and what kind of playtime is allowed/encouraged, and any other specifics I should know about how to care for the pet (medication, where they sleep, how they interact with other dogs/pets, etc.)

“Keka is very patient and caring when it comes to pet handling. My dog Hendrix (a Doberman mix) can be a bit of a handful sometimes (he's large and energetic) but Keka was able to handle and take good care of him. Delightful to be around and kind.”
