About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. I have spent the last 3 years volunteering with Hope for Life Rescue and Penninsula Regional Animal Shelter, working hands on with pets of all ages, breeds, and temperaments, from bottle feeding kittens and puppies to caring for senior dogs who need extra patience and attention. I’m the go-to person for family and friends whenever they need someone reliable and loving to care for their pets, whether it’s daily walks, drop-in visits, daycare, or overnight boarding. I am taking organic chemistry over the summer, so my schedule will be very flexible. I am an early riser, so morning walks are not an issue for me. I am happy to make multiple visits to your pet each day! For dogs, I walk and feed them regularly and make sure they get as much exercise and socialization as they need. For cats, I feed them regularly, clean litter boxes, and give them space unless they want to be my friend. About: Hi! I'm Emily. I've always been a big animal lover. I grew up with cats but helped take care of neighbor's dogs when I was younger. After my husband and I got married, we adopted our first rescue, Aggie. We adopted our 2nd rescue, Daisy a few years later. I've taken care of several dogs whether it be for family or friends throughout the years. I love the loyalty and joy they bring. I've watched several friends' dogs and regularly dog sat for a German Shepherd while living overseas. I've also had the rewarding experience of having my late dog, Aggie, CGC (canine good citizen) certified to do pet therapy through Therapy Dogs International and the Red Cross. I loved how happy it made people on our visits to hospitals and nursing homes. Dogs bring me so much happiness and joy. :) I'm currently a stay at home mom but work part time at an elementary school. I own one dog, Daisy, whom I walk regularly. I would love to look after other's dogs on a part-time basis! About: I have always been expected to care of my own pets from a very young age and now mine live with me at college:) I love it so much I even created my own dog poop cleaning up business in sixth grade! Anything I could ever do to help someone with their pet is so rewarding, and I understand needing to travel and see the world or visit family as I have moved around a ton when I was younger. I’m super excited to join the app! Having my animals in college has helped me ensure I build a healthy schedule not only for myself, but also them! The way I love a routine, so do they. I try to get up around the same time each day and feed dinner around the same time also. My dogs don’t eat lunch, but I have cared for animals that have and it’s all about craving that extra important time for them to ensure they feel comfortable, especially with family gone. I love the outdoors and walks during the summer so doing that is the least I could do for my babies. I’m a very flexible and communicative person which hopefully sets up the best care:) I want to be as respectful as possible, and since working at a clients home I would want to make sure I know what works best for your animal. If is a lot of outside time, space, treats, being in the crate while gone or not. anything! I can totally work around that because I want you to have peace of mind for your home and pet:)
