About: i've taken care of dogs since I was 11 and I've had a cat for almost ten years now. I love spending time with all breeds! I am currently working part time, so I will have plenty of time to play with, take care of, and love on your fur babies. I'll take care of your animals whichever way you see fit. I have a fenced in back yard and will crate them if you see fit.
“Savanah was great walking my 2 beagles. She was always on time and my dogs really liked her.. one of my dogs is a little special and Savanah seems to figure that out and made her feel more comfortable when walking with her. I would recommend her!”

About: With my mom being a science teacher, I grew up with all sorts of animals, from different lizards and different kinds of bunnies, guinea pigs, cats, and dogs. We currently have three dogs that are my world, even though I am away from home due to the military. Going from animal affection most of my life, to none at all is hard. And once I heard about this company I had to apply, pets are a humans best companion and some would even say they’re like our own children. I would love to keep your pet safe, happy and cared for while you’re away. I’m currently in the military but with the schedule I have now i’m pretty flexible. I would say my weekends are available and with week days i’m not available between 4pm-8pm due to work. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would my own! For drop in visits and dog walks, I make sure pets get exercise, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention, while following their normal routine. During overnight stays, I provide companionship, keep their schedule consistent, administer simple care if instructed, and send regular photo and message updates so owners feel confident that they’re safe, happy, and well cared for. I’m a very clean and organized person :)
About: Hi! I'm Emily. I've always been a big animal lover. I grew up with cats but helped take care of neighbor's dogs when I was younger. After my husband and I got married, we adopted our first rescue, Aggie. We adopted our 2nd rescue, Daisy a few years later. I've taken care of several dogs whether it be for family or friends throughout the years. I love the loyalty and joy they bring. I've watched several friends' dogs and regularly dog sat for a German Shepherd while living overseas. I've also had the rewarding experience of having my late dog, Aggie, CGC (canine good citizen) certified to do pet therapy through Therapy Dogs International and the Red Cross. I loved how happy it made people on our visits to hospitals and nursing homes. Dogs bring me so much happiness and joy. :) I'm currently a stay at home mom but work part time at an elementary school. I own one dog, Daisy, whom I walk regularly. I would love to look after other's dogs on a part-time basis! I would ensure your dog(s) are well taken care of by making sure they are fed, exercised, hydrated, entertained, and overall happy. Lots of cuddles and treats too! :)
“Great with Kona Heather help out above and beyond when he had a skin reaction while I was away overseas an actually stayed an extra day when my plane got delayed excellent service couldn’t ask for a better dog sitter!!!!!!!”

“Bethany was truly a God send when I needed help with daily pup walks for my two large fur babies. I have a mal mix and a GSD and she was always able to work around my crazy on-call work schedule. I don’t have enough good things to say about her! If you want the best care for your pup, you have to call her!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs indoors and outdoors for my entire childhood. I am a full time public music teacher and part time church music director looking to spend some time with sweet pups! I am open for house sitting, dog drop in visits and walks within 15 miles of Hampton, VA. I have my own dog, Allie, who we feed morning and night. We also walk her daily. Allie loved to get her zoomies out in the backyard. She also gets lots of pets and a peanut butter cone after doing some tricks. June and July, I am open to scheduling during the day (8:00 am-5:00 pm) on weekdays and weekends dependent upon scheduling. Additional hours after 5:00pm available upon request. August-May: I am available for walks from 4:30pm-7:00pm, dependent upon scheduling. Allie goes on regular walks for 30 minutes (longer or shorter). We feed her morning and night and she loves to get out zoomies in our backyard. Allie sits and waits before each feeding and she does shake, lay down and stay before her treat. I am also attaching a written reference below: To fur baby owners: Caroline Miller is one of the best dog/house sitters I’ve ever had. She is very responsible and dependable. Most important though is how she loves on my dogs while I’m away and spends time with them. I also loved the condition of how my house looked when I came home, just as clean as it was when I left! It saddened me when Caroline moved away from home because I haven’t had a dog sitter as good as her in years. She will not disappoint! -Melissa F
“Jenna was great with my dog, Ellie. I’m new to the area and finding reliable care for my dog is very important to me. I’m glad to find Jenna and I look forward to having her walk Ellie on a regular basis.”

“My dogs love Felicitas so much! I've had such piece of mind knowing that they are being taken care of and loved on while I'm out of town. She's the best”

About: Hi! My name is Justin Wright, and I’m a lifelong animal lover with a passion for providing safe, loving care for pets. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and I’m a father of two Golden Retrievers and an uncle of 2 Cocker spaniels and a Toy Poodle. From walks and playtime to grooming routines and learning each pet’s unique personality, I truly love everything that comes with caring for animals. While my background is primarily with dogs, I love cats as well and would be happy to provide care for a variety of furry friends. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminology, and I currently work as an in-home mental health counselor. My experience working with people, behavior, and routines has helped me develop patience, responsibility, and strong attention to detail — qualities I bring into pet care as well. I work part time as an in-home mental health counselor, which gives me flexibility throughout the week. I am available for morning and evening visits, with some afternoons depending on my counseling schedule. My weekends are completely open and I am happy to help with walks and drop-ins and providing companionship for your pets. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. With my own dogs, I handle walks, grooming, brushing, nail care, and maintaining healthy routines. I understand that every pet has their own personality, preferences, and needs, and I take the time to make sure each animal feels comfortable and cared for. I treat every pet like they are my own and will provide dependable, attentive care while you’re away.

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life of all sizes. From chihuahua's to Newfoundlands and everything in between I love all types of dogs! My dogs are like my kids so if you ever hear me talking about my kids I am referring to my dogs. :) If your dog is mellow or hyper I am more then willing to fit the needs they require. I am home full time so your pup will always have whatever they need as my schedule is flexible. If your pet has depression or anxiety I will take the extra time needed with them to make them feel comfortable and calm while you’re away! I know how important your pets are to you, they are not just pets they are family and I wouldn't treat them any other way! *I am open too pet sitting outside the area Rover makes us sitters set. The only cost adjustment will be for gas and possible travel time depending on distance. This is more than just a part time job too me. Caring for pets is a passion and is something I enjoy. The experience you and your pets have is of the up most importance. I will ask a lot of questions about your pets daily routines, things they like and don’t like. This is important because it helps your animals be less stressed if they are sticking to a routine they are used too. This also helps me to understand them better which increases quality of care.

I highly recommend her! She took wonderful care of my dogs while I was away. She kept me updated, followed all of my instructions, and made sure they were happy, safe, and well cared for. It gave me great peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. I will definitely use her services again. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my babies!

Being able to book Benjamin has been a huge blessing in my life . After my dog was diagnosed with diabetus I worried how I would make sure she got her medicine on time as a single mom who works long hours . I was nervous about my first booking, but that immediately went out the window once I saw the pictures of their visit . Not only was there a smile on Eris's face, but he got a picture of him giving my younger cat pets. My cat is afraid of everyone and has a tendency to hide . The fact that my cat felt comfortable with him hold a huge weight with me. When I come home that night Eris also seemed extra excited as to say " mom I had a friend come over " . Benjamin is also really great with communication and has been flexible with my last minute scheduling. Thanks Benjamin .

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
