I was so sad to leave my kitty behind while I went to my grandmother's funeral, but thankfully I never had to worry because Olivia took such good care of my cat. About: I’ve had dogs of my own for years and have worked at multiple dog boarding/daycare facilities. I have had e-collar and dog behavior training, I am also dog/cat CPR and first aide certified through PetTech. I currently work a full time job at a dog daycare and boarding facility and want to use my experience to be of more help to pet parents. In clients homes and out for walks I strive to give dogs the best care I can provide and stay in communication with parents to the best of my ability.

About: I have had dogs my entire adult life, up to 7 at one time, including a husky. I now only have 1, since I had to move and left the rest with my old roommate (some were his anyway, and I took the one that had chosen me as his human). Every dog I've ever had was properly trained to at least sit on command - with or without a treat. When I had the 7, I could have the pack surround me, and call them one by one for their treat, and only the one called would reach. People have watched my dog's behavior out in public and have aske if I could train their dogs! I have no formal training for dog training, but I did grow up watching Caesar on Animal Planet, and implemented his behavior training techniques with all of my own dogs when they were puppies, or from the time I accepted them in as strays. I have cared for others pets in the past, but not in a professional capacity. I sat for a friend of mine at her house, caring for 3 dogs and a cat. I fed the cat in the morning and at night and cleaned her litter box once a day. The dogs got fed on the same schedule, and spent the majority of the day outside in the fenced back yard unless it was raining. I went outside and threw balls and sticks for them a few times each day, for about an hour or so each time. I currently do not have a job, so I am available full time, any day or time. I have my own dog who prefers to not let me out of his sight, and will cry if I leave him at home alone, so getting a traditional job while living in an apartment is out of the question. With that said, I would need to bring him with me. He is going on 10 years old, and has never met a dog or person he didn't love. I am glad to bring him for a meet and greet before any commitments are made. Every dog has a way to let you know they need something. My dog prefers to attempt cuddles when he needs anything, leaving me playing a guessing game until I get it right. He gets super excited when I get it right! As a senior dog, I leave his food out 24/7, and check it in the mornings when I get up and at night when I go to bed to make sure it's not empty. If I notice that it's empty at any point during the day, I simply refill it. Same with his water. His potty schedule is pretty much the same - first thing in the morning, any time he asks during the day, and then one last trip out at bedtime. I know not every dog can follow this schedule, but I have also had dogs who needed me to set alarms to take them out every hour or two, until they were properly house trained. All I need from you is your dogs schedule.

About: I have experience caring for animals of all ages, from playful ones who need socialization and routine to seniors who may require medication, special diets, or extra comfort and attention. I take the time to build trust at each pet’s pace, ensuring they feel safe and relaxed while you're away. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is receiving loving, reliable care. I’m currently working part time during the summer, and attend college full time. My schedule during the academic year is pretty flexible! I can always work around times. I have my own dog who LOVES to play with others. He goes to doggy daycare almost everyday so he is very social. I also have a cat, who can be social at times but she is usually pretty content with other cats.

About: Need a great dog sitter or dog walker? Look no further! Send me a message :). I’m willing to do long or short term dog sits in the comfort of your dog’s home. I’ve previously volunteered at animal rescue sanctuaries in Hawaii, Ireland, and the Philippines because I really have a passion for animals. Cats, dogs, horses, you name it- if it’s an animal, I love it haha. I’m currently living in Harrisburg, South Dakota and am looking forward to spending time with your precious pet(s)! I’ve taken care of dogs since I was about 5 years old. (I have a couple photos uploaded with dogs from I was a kid :) ) My grandma raised dogs so I happily helped out all the time and quickly grew to love dogs. I began my own dog grooming business which I did for a few years, and after that, I dog sat for friends and family. Recently I helped watch a farmers dogs for a month which included walking the 5 of them, feeding them, bathing them, and watering them. I dog sat two French Bulldogs for 2 weeks, everything went great and they loved their walks and bath time. One family actually flies me out to dog sit for them still (for 3 years) since me and their dog are besties and he is aggressive to new people. I’m happy to give you any contact numbers if you’d like to speak with any previous people I’ve dog sat for. I’m very responsible and pay attention to detail to ensure your dog is safe and happy in my care. Send me a message to talk about time/dates but I am pretty flexible :). I am not in school so I’ll have plenty of free time to spend with your dog/cat! What better job than playing with dogs/cats. In my clients home I will be considerate and follow your rules and preferences. I will keep the place tidy and clean and put things back where I found them, such as leash etc. . I’ve volunteered on animal rescue sanctuaries for months with 15+ other volunteers so I know how to be respectful and considerate of other people’s homes.

About: I’m a lifelong dog owner with extensive experience caring for pups of all ages, sizes, and needs. For six years, I fostered dogs ranging from tiny puppies to senior and special-needs dogs, giving me a deep understanding of different temperaments and care requirements. I also volunteered with the Humane Society for five years, including three years on the Board of Directors, which strengthened my commitment to animal welfare. At home, I currently have three dogs—a small, medium, and giant breed (English Mastiff!)—so I’m comfortable with everything from gentle companions to big, energetic pups. Your dog will be cared for with the same patience, attention, and love I give my own. I’ve structured my schedule specifically to be available for lunchtime drop-ins and walks during the week. This allows me to give dogs a reliable midday break when their owners can’t make it home. I also keep my weekends fully open, so I can provide flexible care, extra visits, or longer walks as needed. Caring for animals is a natural part of my daily life, and I’m happy to build my routine around giving pets the attention and consistency they deserve. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I follow your routine as closely as possible to keep your dog comfortable and stress-free. I make sure they get fresh water, a potty break, and any feeding or medications they need. I take the time to give them attention, playtime, and reassurance so they feel relaxed and safe while you’re away. I’m careful to respect your home, follow all instructions you provide, and keep things clean and tidy. I also send updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is to provide calm, consistent care that helps your pet feel secure in their familiar environment.

About: I have two fur babies of my own, and know the importance of not only loving them like family, but keeping them healthy like family as well. My own dogs have very specific feeding and health routines, and you can rest assured that any specifications you have will be followed the entire time you are away from your pups. I will make sure any food, treat, and exercise guidelines are followed completely. I am a very dedicated person, and give my all to anything I am involved in. You can bet that I will love your pups like they are my own while I am with them, and probably after too! I would love some more dog families in my life. I work from home Thursdays and Fridays, so alone time is limited. I do have a 4 year old and 1 year old, so comfort around children is preferred. My kids are very good with dogs and giving them space and using soft touches. If you are boarding with me, kenneling is required to keep safe during unsupervised times. Please let me help take care of your babies! I work from home on Thursdays and Fridays, so alone time is limited. Outside potty breaks are frequent, and walks are able to be taken daily. I have a fenced in yard and two dogs of my own. Kenneling is required when boarding with me to keep my own dogs and your dog safe during unsupervised times. I have a 4 year old and 1 year old, who are good with dogs and respecting their space.

FAQs for Cat Sitting - Worthing

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
