“Trudy Is awesome! We were nervous to leave our cat at first as she was young and had a bit of social anxiety, but Trudy eased all our fears. Very engaged and adaptive to pets needs and owner requests. Would highly recommend Trudy for any pet needs you have!”

“Olivia was fantastic! She sent daily pictures, thorough updates and cleaned up any messes my cats made. She is so sweet and genuine. It’s always a little nerve wracking trying a new sitter for your animals but she made me feel at ease right away and I’d definitely recommend her to anyone.”

“Great care provided! I don’t worry at all when she takes care of my boy!!”

About: I have been around dogs for a large majority of my life and have even earned the joking nickname of “dog whisperer” among my friends. I fell in love with caring for animals with my first dog, Mattie, when I was only 4 years old. Since then my family and I have housed 9 dogs in total over the last 23 years, 6 from rescues. For as long as I can remember I have been asked to dog sit/walk for anyone who knows my love for animals. I am the proud owner of 2 adoptees currently, Baymax and Tator-Tot. Both are well trained through classes at Smoken Dakota Kennels. I am NOT a certified dog trainer by any means, but I am fully confident I can teach some basics or even a set you up with a trainer or training class! I am trained in animal CPR. I usually spend my days taking care of my 2 dogs which includes, walks, going to the park, working on our training and some rest periods in between to keep everyone’s mood positive. I usually bring my parents’ 4 dogs with me, but that is not a requirement of my day by any means. Yes, I typically spend my days taking care of 6 dogs with only 1 being a small. So I am very used to high energy days and having my eyes everywhere at once! I have a fenced in backyard with 6’ wooden fences ,grass lawn and water access. I like to take the dogs out to parks or for hikes as opposed to keeping them locked up in the backyard. For parks I usually keep it to the Sioux Falls area with Family and Spencer being my most frequented. Hikes I will go as far as Luverne but that’s a rare occasion. I usually do leashed walks but occasionally I will let my dogs loose in the off-leash side of family park. While resting we usually just go inside for some A/C, water, and a nap for the pups. Occasionally on a nice cool day we will just stay outside and rest.

About: I have always had pets since a very early age. Mostly cats and dogs but also Guinea pigs, hamsters, turtles, hedgehogs, iguanas and snakes and more. I worked at a Veterinary Clinic in High School and took two years of Pre-Veterinary Medicine. I currently only have two cats. Unfortunately, I am allergic to long haired cats so I won’t be taking any clients for those breeds. I’m open and flexible to many other breeds. I have a full time day job so I’m mostly available on weekends and evenings. I’m available for in home stays or drop ins and walks. My daily routine consists of cleaning my own cat’s litter in the morning and evening. Water and food are changed then also. I provide them with toys and games to stimulate them. I know that pets need gentle care and sometimes slow introductions. I want to know your pet’s routine and preferences to ensure a smooth interaction.

About: I am a 30 year old RN in Sioux Falls. I grew up on a farm in the country and my entire life we had dogs and other animals in the family. My dog prior to moving was a pitbull/lab mix. I raised him from a puppy until his last days where I was sleeping with him on the garage floor. I definitely learned how to manage a muscular dog thanks to him. I now have a Merle Great Dane, Meeko. He loves playing with other dogs and even tries playing with cats. I have a 3.5 year old son and 1.5 year old daughter. I work three, 12 hour shifts a week, differing days of week, and every third weekend. I switch between days and nights with a majority on days so I am pretty flexible! I only take bookings for daycare or boarding when I'm off work unless your dog is used to being kenneled for 10-12 hours. If just needing drop in visits, I am able to do those before/after work. I have a fenced backyard and my dog loves playing with any sized dog. I have babysat for dogs from weiner dog to other great dane sized. A lot of outside time is offered to burn off energy. That also gives them a break from my wild toddler and baby.

“Morgan did great w/ the our doggos, was super communicative and asked questions to make sure they were taken care of per their usual routine.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life. I have cared for them and do everything necessary to give them the best life. I have cared for multiple fosters as well. My schedule is flexible so I have the time to invest in taking care of your pet. Whether it is to play with them in the yard or take them for a walk. I am very watchful and mindful of dogs, knowing they can get into things. So I am right there to make sure they are properly cared for.

About: I have had a dog all while growing up. I am experienced in caring for big and small dogs: taking them on walks, feeding and watering, exercising, and caring for them. I am patient with dogs who are still in training and respect their owners wishes in how they perfer their pup to be cared for. I am currently a student in college. I have plenty of time in between classes to come home for potty breaks, playing, and feeding. Caring for dogs is more of a lifestyle than a job for me. I love the company and love for attention they bring. I have a decent sized yard and a pup of my own to play and keep your dog company. He is very playful and friendly but has also been taught to "read the room" incase the other dog isn't in a playful mood. I have a big window so they can look out and watch squirrels, birds, and cars go by. The road I live on is not heavy with traffic so I feel secure in letting my dog go out and play by his self.

About: I have taken care of dogs from 2 weeks old to 12 years old. Have checked on bunnies also so willing to do more then just dogs and cats if needed. I’m currently working part time and helping two families outside of my every day job but will make sure your animals are taken care of during that time also I will keep their routine as close as normal to possible. I prefer keeping the animals at their own place so they are most comfortable

Zach has also assisted family members in training their dogs, he is willing to work with your pets and keep up their training while you're gone. He also has experience with giving dogs medications.
