“Candice was amazing with my dog, Nagi. This was the first trip my family and I had taken since getting her, so leaving her with someone new made us a little nervous at first. We chose Candice based on her profile and reviews, and she absolutely did not disappoint. My family and I were able to fully enjoy our spring break trip knowing our pup was in excellent hands. Candice provided lots of updates with pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind and made us feel connected to Nagi while we were away. Nagi decided she didn’t want to use the stairs for the first few days of her stay, but Candice was incredibly patient and treated her like one of her own pups the entire time. She even carried Nagi up and down the stairs until she felt comfortable enough to use them like she normally does. Halfway through Nagi’s 1 week stay, she started having an upset tummy. Candice went above and beyond by picking up medicine for her, feeding her boiled chicken and rice, and taking care of multiple accidents when Nagi couldn’t make it outside in time. Candice also has a pup of her own, Rayne, which made Nagi’s stay even more fun. It was clear Nagi had a wonderful time and felt comfortable there. When we picked her up, she looked so happy, relaxed, and content, which told me everything I needed to know about how well she was cared for. If we ever need a sitter again, I would absolutely book with Candice again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy dog sitter.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! They welcomed our pup for a last-minute weekend stay and gave him such a comfortable, happy place to settle in. Their dog was a wonderful playmate, and the frequent updates and lots of photos made it easy to relax knowing he was having a great time. They were communicative throughout and incredibly accommodating as our schedule kept changing. We’re so grateful for the care and flexibility, and would happily book with them again. Highly recommend!”

“Jackpot had the best time with Dana! We felt so comfortable during our time away knowing jackpot was being so well cared for!! I 100% recommend Dana! She is also an amazing photographer :) :)”

“James did a great job caring for Ellie! I feel confident she was well taken care of based on how comfy she looked in all the photos. He has a great location with his fenced in back yard and beautiful neighborhood for walks!”

“Debra and her family were AMAZING! Super patient and understanding with all of my doggies quirks and needs! Holly loved playing with her kids! We will be staying with them again. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my girl!”

“My Australian labradoodle did well at Brittany's. She usually watches other dogs and she has 3 little children so my dog got lots of exercise and love. She came exhausted. Brittany is very responsive to questions and gets back right away which was important to me. She sent pics too so I could see what my dog was up to.”

“Marliez was absolutely amazing! She was attentive and kind. My fur baby was happy to stay with her and was very well taken care of; she stayed in a home away from home. Marliez sent me pictures every day and made sure to give me an update on my baby’s activities and mood. Would definitely recommend Marliez to anyone wanting their baby to stay in a loving home while they are away. Loved working with Marliez and will be booking with her in the future.”

“Andy and Lydia took such amazing care of our big Bernese Mountain dog. Our boy is recovering from chemo and we were very hesitant to leave him anywhere overnight but they put all our fears to rest. They provided updates, pictures, and handled all of our pups medications and dietary needs. We will absolutely let them watch our guy again in the future.”

“Beth was awesome with Bailey! Bailey is an older gal, and gets a bit stressed with change but Beth was very patient with her and Bailey settled down nicely during her stay. The video of Bailey wagging her tail and playing around proved such. Thank you, Beth, for taking such good care of her!”
“Sarah made our dog Stuart feel perfectly at home with her family. She treated him like her own, and kept us in the loop with photo updates. We felt reassured and comforted knowing Stuart was in such loving hands. Thanks so much, Sarah!!”

“I recommend Rachel highly. Zoey had a blast with the kids and seemed sad that she had to leave. We received pics of our pupper having fun and she was very tired once we brought her home.”
“Ahhhmazing!!! Michelle will absolutely be our go to dog sitter! Oliver is still a puppy so he is high energy and still working on his potty training. This was our first time using rover and his first time away from us. Michelle took care of him above and beyond our expectations! She sent us model pictures of him daily (much better than he lets us take of him, so we have new profile pics of him, lol!) She provided daily updates with the pics too, all of which gave us complete peace of mind! We couldn’t have had a better experience and that made our vacation that much more relaxing. We are extremely thankful to Michelle for treating Oliver like her own! 😊”

“Demond is a great pet sitter. He communicated well, and sent lots of great pictures and videos of my furbaby while we were away!!! We will definitely be rebooking with him the next time we go out of town!”

“Megan took such wonderful care of Meeko while I was away! She truly treated him like her own, giving him all the cuddles and love he enjoys. I really appreciated the regular updates and adorable photos—they gave me such peace of mind during my trip. I could tell Meeko was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. I highly recommend Megan and would absolutely book with her again!”

About: Reliable, Attentive Care — I Treat Your Pets Like Family Hi, I’m Stacey. I’m new to Rover, but not new to caring deeply and responsibly for dogs. I recently lost my own dog after many years, and that experience reinforced how important patience, comfort, and dependable care truly are. I understand how hard it can be to trust someone with a pet you love. I follow routines closely, take instructions seriously, and pay attention to the small details that help pets feel safe and secure. I’m especially patient with senior dogs, anxious pets, or dogs who need a calm, steady presence. I provide regular updates and photos so you always know your pet is in good hands. Schedule availability: Currently, my availability is during weekday (elementary) school hours (8am - 2pm), ensuring dedicated attention for each visit giving focus and unrushed care. For walks and drop-in visits, I follow each pet’s routine and instructions closely. I ensure leashes, doors, and gates are secure, monitor behavior and comfort, and give calm, attentive care. I respect my clients’ homes and provide clear updates and photos after every visit.
“Tiffany was very responsive when something was not right with one of our dogs during the boarding and went above and beyond trying to help. Her responsiveness allowed us to address the situation promptly.”

“Sarah was great! She communicated promptly and was very easy to work with. She sent daily updates and photos of our dog who got along great with Sarah’s dog, Riley. We will be requesting future stays with Sarah!!”

Michelle was a great dog sitter for Spencer. She provided daily updates with photos and comments. I felt at ease and confident that Spencer was well cared for while I was away. Michelle was excellent with communication and always responded in a timely manner with me. I would recommend her highly and will use her as a dog sitter in the future.

Our 8 1/2 year old dog just stayed with Candice. He is very attached to me and does not like to get away from my side! Candice took great care of him and he did very well in her care. Candice sent frequent photos - which reassured me how well he was doing. Highly recommend!!

This was Tibs’ second time staying with Keerin and her family and he had a great if not better time than the first! Keerin has such a happy home and our boy got tons of love from her, her family, and their dog, Boomer. They sent plenty of happy picture updates. They treat Tibs like family and he loves staying with them! I would recommend them to anyone.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Woods Landing home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Woods Landing.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Woods Landing sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
