“Christy is the best dog sitter I have ever had. Our dog is very old and needy. She was so sweet with him and sent me pics all weekend of things he was doing. She kept me updated on how he was eating and taking his meds because I was worried he wouldn't do either while we were gone. I’m so thankful I found her and I have already booked another pet sitting appointment with her. Hire her, you wont be disappointed!”

“Alyssa was amazing! On time, loves animals, went above and beyond, and sent lots of updates with great photos. It is priceless to have peace of mind about your pets when you’re out of town. Highly recommend!”

About: What sets me apart from other Rover sitters is my specialized experience in both puppy training and senior pet care. I am skilled in positive reinforcement techniques, ensuring that young dogs develop good habits early on. Additionally, I provide compassionate, attentive care tailored to senior pets’ unique needs, including administering medications and supporting mobility. My dedication to personalized, loving attention ensures every pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy in my care. I’m currently working part-time remotely , so i’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups or kitties! Right now I’m available 24/7 because I am saving to having a child! When caring for pets in my clients' homes, I ensure their comfort, safety, and well-being. I maintain feeding schedules, provide fresh water, administer medications if needed, and engage in playtime and exercise. I respect the pets' routines, offer companionship, and keep their environment clean. I communicate regularly with clients, updating them on their pets’ health and behavior, ensuring peace of mind while they're away.
“Deanna had great communication with us. She sent pictures as well as update updates. She spent time with all animals and she left the house clean. I would love to have her sit with dogs again.”

About: I have cared for pets of all ages over the years and adopted a pup of my own about two years ago. He’s up to date on all vaccinations and loves other dogs. I have experience with giving medications to animals, caring for both puppies and older pups, and my apartment is hardwood floors so accidents aren’t a problem! I am a graduate assistant and in grad school. This means that I word pretty weird hours and I do a lot of work remotely. I’m home anywhere between 8 hours to 24 hours a day and can rearrange my schedule depending on the needs of the animal. There is a dog park nearby and it’s a safe area. For my pup, and pups I’ve boarded/cared for before, I traditionally feed them in the AM and give them plenty of water. We go to the dog park to start the day and get the energy out. I make sure to leave dog-safe toys on the floor so they know they have stuff to play with and I dog proof the apartment before I leave each time so they don’t get into things they shouldn’t. We go out later in the day to the dog park again to socialize or get the zoomies going. We go back and have a little more food or a snack and then hang out before going out on a walk to end the day. I'm working full-time in ministry so I have lots of time throughout the day to care for your loved one and will be gone no more than a few hours per evening for bible studies and groups. I take my dog, Tonka, out 5-6 times per day minimum and we love to go on walks and be outdoors. I have a large field directly behind my apartment and live in a very pet-friendly area tucked off the main road so your pup will enjoy lots of safe and supervised outside time! I allow animals on the furniture and keep all choking hazards up high. My dog has a knack for finding even the smallest things to mess with so I have good practice with keeping a safe home.
“Perfect rating! She arrived on time, showered our girls with love and went above and beyond in caring for them. Highly recommend Olivia to anyone needing their pets cared for.”

“Hailey was exceptional!! She was on time, communicative, and extremely respectful. She sent me updates and pictures of my fur baby. I definitely would highly recommend her.”

“Danielle went above and beyond house sitting for us on a holiday weekend with short notice! She took the time to meet our two German Shepherds beforehand so they were comfortable when she came to stay for the weekend. Danielle respected our space and treated our home like it was her own. She ensured both of the dogs got plenty of play time and our clingy cat got plenty of snuggles. All four of our pets were so relaxed and content when we returned home. We couldn’t have asked for better and are so grateful we’ve found someone to make our regular sitter! 🙌”

“Came on time and stayed the time booked. Played with my dogs outside enough to give them the exercise they needed. Took care of my dogs and house, even washed my dogs dishes and feeder toys (unexpected and appreciated).”

“Lydia was great with our pups and we won't hesitate to use her services again. She sent daily pictures of our babies and I could tell they were content and happy. She even took one of our pups with her on a car ride to pick up food (he loves car rides and she did have our permission). She sent pics of him and I could tell he was loving it! Lydia was very quick to answer texts and she was easy to communicate with. She left the house in great condition and we already have her booked for May. I highly recommend Lydia and I don't think anyone that hires her will be disappointed with her services.”

“Kendal was amazing. My dog loved her immediately and she made me feel comfortable leaving him. She was so sweet and attentive and sent pictures everyday. She was very responsive and left my house just as she found it. I will definitely be requesting her again!”

About: Animals have been a part of my life since I was 8 years old, and caring for pets has always come naturally to me. I have experience caring for both my own pets and the pets of friends and neighbors, including dogs ranging from 5 to 65 pounds. I’m comfortable working with senior pets, anxious pets, and different personalities, always making sure they feel safe, loved, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. “Laura was amazing! She was punctual, followed all instructions carefully, and kept me updated throughout the stay. When I checked in, she responded quickly and sent photos, which gave me so much peace of mind—especially since this was our first time leaving our puppy. She even took her for a walk, which we really appreciated. We had a great experience and will definitely be booking with Laura again for future pet sitting needs!”

Olivia was fantastic with our babies ensuring that medications were promptly administered to each of our babies. She slept with them each night and made sure they received tons of love and attention while we were on an out of state bowling trip. We would love to hire her all the time to watch our babies, as they loved her too! She sent us pictures without us even having to ask too!

Sam was incredible with our 9 year old dog. She kept us updated with photos throughout the entire stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. Sam made sure our girl was never left alone for too long, stayed on her feeding schedule, and got her walks in. We could tell our pup was well cared for and truly felt like she was in good hands. Highly recommend!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Woodhill Addition walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Woodhill Addition maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Woodhill Addition choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
