1. McKenna T.

“McKenna was absolutely great with my pups. One is four and one is 15. She sent lots of pics so I never had to worry about them and I would definitely use her again the next time I have to go somewhere and she's available”

2. Kathryn W.
About: I’ve had dogs of all sizes in my life since I was 2 yo, and I’ve trained multiple of them. I’ve also had pet rats, a gecko, fish, cats, and a brief horse phase. I used to want to be a zoo keeper but ended up becoming a social worker instead. However, I still maintain that great love for all animals and have the goal of integrating animals into my therapy practice once I’m licensed. I am willing to work with most types of pets, including the traditional “creepy” ones. Throughout the years, roommates, friends, and family members have trusted me to take care of their pets. Many people have even told me that their pet warmed up to me sooner than most. I like to think I have the kind of calming, kind energy that animals appreciate. I’d love to hang out with your furry/scaly friend sometime and help lessen your load! I’m between jobs at the moment, so I am very flexible as long as you give me a little heads up. My boyfriend lives in VA, so I’m sometimes there for a few days, usually every other weekend. But otherwise, I’m readily available and willing to work with you and your schedule. I have experience caring for dogs in homes in both urban and rural places and understand the risks involved with both. I always practice proper walking etiquette, making sure to provide ample space between other dogs/people. I do everything I can to ensure everyone’s safety. Before caring for your pet, I will ask for you to disclose anything about them that I should be aware of, which I’ll keep careful note of. I will maintain quick, open communication throughout our time working together and will provide regular updates.

3. Kayla D.

“Kayla was amazing! She replied quickly to our very last minute booking request. My fur babies were in great care. She even cleaned up after Bear that brings in the whole outside with him😂 Highly recommend!”

4. Danielle H.

“Danielle was incredible! Our Max has separation anxiety and can be a challenge. Danielle used her years of experience to recommend the best situation for all of us as we needed to go out of town for a night. She sent us pictures and updates several times during our time away. When we got home Max was so happy and you could tell he had been well taken care of. As pet owners, we are over the moon. Also, before Danielle, we did not feel comfortable with putting Max in boarding and it limited our ability to travel. We have a new found freedom and will definitely use Danielle again. She is highly recommended!”

5. Arthur D.
“Hi Arthur is a great cat sitter and has kept my princess cat happy while I was away on vacation. He’s very responsable and communicative”

6. Grace F.

“Grace stayed overnight with my 3 month old puppy. She spent the whole night with him, kept up with his feeding and potty schedule and my aparment was exactly how I left it when I got back. I would definitely recommend her to anyone with a pet they love!”

7. Lorna P.

“Lorna is simply fantastic! Great with our dog and cats, reliable, & communicative. We never worry about our fur babies when they are under her care!”

8. Kylene W.

“Kylene was wonderful! We had a work trip out of the state and needed someone to house sit for our pup Sadie and keep an eye on our cat Simba as well. When we returned home the house was exactly as we left it with the dishwasher ran for us. I would definitely recommend Kylene to watch your pets & home. THANK YOU!”

9. TAYLOR R.

“Taylor was amazing with my 2 doggos. Attentive and sent plenty of updates. Leaving the dogs behind over the holidays wasn't easy but Taylor made it that much easier to enjoy my vacation and know my babies were well taken care of.”

10. Margaret H.

“I am very happy with Louise staying with Toby. She spent a lot of time with him; was successful at getting my picky dog to eat. Louise sent me pictures and I was very comfortable with Louise. I would recommend her highly”

11. Devan M.

“Devan did a great job taking care of my house and dogs! He is a caring young man and kept in touch while I was away, posting pictures of my boys. Some family members I was traveling with had an issue with the person who was supposed to be dropping in on their dog. I called Devan and he was willing to take their dog as well. They had her dropped off at my house and all three dogs were well cared for. I will not hesitate to ask Devan to care for my pets again.”

12. Amber G.
“I have watched Amber G care for her pets for her entire life and she is a true pet Mom. She never passes a stranger with a dog without asking if she can pet it. Additionally, she is great with cats as well. She has always been around all kinds of animals her entire life. She loves animals and animals love her!”

13. Haylee W.
“I met Haylee through rescue a couple years ago and asked her to watch my cats a week later. She’s since watched them for me multiple times, always sending videos and pictures of them whenever she checks in. My cats are very shy but love her like she’s their other mommy. She has extensive background in vet med and rescue. I will never trust anyone else to love my babies like I do!”

14. Evangaline P.
“Evangeline is an incredibly mature and responsible young lady. She has many household duties and responsibilities including helping to care for her younger brothers. She is so loving and nurturing. As a pet sitter myself, I feel extremely confident that she will be an outstanding pet sitter.”

15. Phyllis M.

“Phyllis stayed in our home with our goldendoodle for 15 nights. She took such good care of our fur baby while we were away. She sent pictures and updates. Our dog seemed happy and well cared for. Phyllis was quick to respond to messages....great communicator. Our house was nice and tidy when we returned. Would 100% recommend Phyllis to care for your pets. She is awesome!”

16. Lisa W.
“We recently had Lisa care for our chickens while we were out of town. Lisa came over before the trip to get instructions about feeding and proper care. She did an amazing job! She followed our instructions to the letter and even sent us some pictures while we were away to let us know that everything was going fine and the chickens were happy and healthy. We were at ease knowing that our livestock was taken care of while we were gone and we didn't need to worry about anything except enjoying our trip. Lisa is always easy to work with, responsible and extremely dependable when checking on and taking care of your family pets and farm animals. Her experience with multiple types of pets and livestock make her invaluable to us.”

17. Hailey R.

“Hailey was awesome. Great communication and great with my dogs.”

About: Hi there, I'm new to Rover with the intent of building my online presence and expanding professionally, as I've worked in the Tri-cities via word of mouth for years and I do come with excellent references available upon request. I am an avid animal lover with a background that includes caring for cats, dogs, chickens, miniature horses, goats, pigs, emus, llamas, hampsters, gerbils, a macaw, fish and reptiles. I think that about covers it. I was a long time volunteer at Full Circle Farm Animal Sanctuary in Weaverville, NC where I gained extensive experience and learned a lot about animal needs, behaviors and personalities until the sanctuary relocated to Georgia after receiving a large gift of acreage to expand. Today, I primarily care for cats and dogs with cuddles, basic needs, walking, administration of medications, etc. Hours can vary and I work with the client to tailor to specific needs. I always practice proper leashing when walking, if that is a need of the client, and follow protocols and preferences set by and agreed upon to insure your furry loved one(s) receive care that exceeds your expectations while you are away. I will be in tune with and alert to any signs of distress and would be in contact with you if any such situation were to arise. I have had three elderly dogs of my own and am quite sensitive, especially, to the needs of senior dogs. I work part time, make my own schedule and have all the flexibility needed to devote to caring for animals, including day sitting and overnight stays. I care for pets specifically in clients' home. I do not board clients' animals in my home. I offer extensive and shorter overnight stays and I offer drop ins for potty breaks, feeding, walking, cleaning litter box, cuddles or day sitting.

19. Haley J.

“All of Lucy’s dietary and medication requirements were followed and met. Was sent frequent updates and pictures of how she was doing. My apartment was exactly the way I had left it upon return. Trustworthy and reliable. Would book again.”

About: Although I have never owned a dog personally, I grew up around them and regularly dog sitting. I am available to house sit or just to drop-in and care for your animals. I have a reliable car and have great time management. I am a student at ETSU and have a part-time job, but that won’t stop me from being able to drop in or walk your dog. Since I have my own animals, I’m not comfortable with bringing any into my home. I am available to drop in or stay and care for your pets or take them on a walk!
