“Amanda is awesome! Super accommodating and extraordinarily helpful! I worked a very unusual schedule for most ofthe time she was working for me. And as long as I gave her a fews days notice she would make sure my pup was getting some exercise while I was at work. If I could leave more than 5 stars I would.”

“Dorothy was a life saver with our nervous pup. She was patient and understanding and let our dog get comfortable with her. I really appreciate her good dog sense and great communication. Thank you Dorothy!”

“Jennifer has been wonderful with our two dogs! They get so excited when she comes in the door. She also takes amazing photos. The kids love seeing the latest photos from Jennifer”

“Nicole was amazing! I contacted her last minute to walk my pup and she was completely willing to help me out. Copper seemed happy when we arrived home later. I would definitely book her again :)”
“DeAndre is dependable, trustworthy, and caring. He goes the extra mile to ensure our pups are well taken care of at all times. He provides photo updates and notes about his walks and visits. I highly recommend him and will continue to book with him.”

About: I’m the type of person that if I see someone handing out free puppies or if I see a lost dog, I’ll be taking them home. I’ve always had such empathy for animals, that on multiple occasions I have done this. For example, last year there was a man handing out free puppies outside of a petco. I almost immediately took him home. The feeling of taking him and giving him a bath, food, and water was so rewarding. I’ve since realized I love working with animals and wish to continue my work. I would absolutely love to help you out with watching your pet while you’re away. I’m currently attending college out of town Tuesday-Thursday but I am available at any time any other day of the week. I’m also available for Masters week In my home, I have one dog of my own, and I have a fenced in yard. My dog loves to swim, so if yours does too I’m happy to watch them while they swim. I’ve had a lot of experience with crates so I’m equipped to handle them. No matter what, I just want your pet to be safe and comfortable while you’re away!
About: I grew up with Beagles and I love all dogs! Friends and family have relied on me to care for their pets while at work, on vacation, and even for months on deployment. (I'm a Navy Veteran!) The last few years I have specialized in tiny dogs (5 - 12 pounds) but I have experience with dogs of all kinds and cats, too! I run my own craft business and I set my own hours. This enables me to care for your beloved furry family members on a flexible schedule! I am delighted to perform home check ins and take your sweet pups for walks while you are away providing them with the life they deserve. ❤
About: I have worked and been around animals since I was born. I use to work for a reserve rehabilitator and animal shop owner. I have worked with many breeds of cats and dogs and understand each one can be uniquely different. What works for one may not always work for another. I’m retired navy so I have all day to work with your animals. I can do drop ins throughout the day to check on them to let them out or take on a walk. Pretty flexible schedule. In my home I have a 5 year old husky who has been raised around cats and puppies. He is good at helping correct puppies. He has had one litter of his own pups. I do not have a fenced yard, but can take them on leash in the yard and live in a nice neighborhood to walk your animal. If you want crate training I have a couple already here at the house
About: You don't have to board your dog in a business that locks up and leaves at night. Your dog can stay with a loving family like ours for around the same price point. I, Angela, have lived in a loving home with dogs my whole life, so I'm comfortable with all kinds of dogs. We call my husband, Rodger, the "dog whisperer" because he channels that Cesar Millan energy and dogs love his calm, assertive energy. We're a happy family of four (2 adults & 2 pre/teens) who all love helping with the dogs who stay with us. Furry friends are given full run of the downstairs of our home and 24hr access to a dog friendly yard outdoors through a doggie door. We're happy to give lots of walks and snuggles and snuggles as well. We are currently in an employment transition, with at least one adult at home during the day. We have a flexible schedules for walking/feeding on your dog's schedule. We have a four year old, well trained, fun loving Golden Retriever, fenced in dog yard, doggie doors for full access to outside, and the dogs have a full run of the downstairs inside our home. Our home is a clean, peaceful, and happy place your dog will love. We also have room for your dog's crate if there are times you want him / her crated.
“When it comes to select a person I usually count on my dog senses and since I needed to choose a dog walker I totally relayed on his preferences. When Paige first met us it was like pure love. They couldn't stop petting and play with each other. So I decided to give it a go and see. After a few walks i am happy with my choice. Paige seems to take good care of my baby in a very responsible way. She is also very accommodating. I would recommend her with no hesitation of any kind.”

About: Hi there! Growing up I was always an animal person, every year on my birthday when I blew out the candles I would always wish for 100 dogs. Now that’s probably not a smart decision but I feel like that wish has been granted with all of the dogs I’ve watched. I’ve been dogsitting for 6 years now and have loved every second of it. I’ve watched tiny Chihuahuas to large Great Danes, I also have a lot of experience with cats. I’m looking forward to meeting your furry friend! I currently work Monday-Thursday 9-4. I have a lunch break at 12 that I would be able to let them out as well. My weekends are usually free Safety is my number one priority. I am able to crate your dog if you prefer that and set an alarm if you have one.
“Jennifer G was great. she is very professional but also thoughtful and kind to the fur kids. She took pics, and gave a good report. She showed up on time or early and was flexible around the edge times (when we left and were expected back). She is just a great sitter and while she is new to Rover, I expect she will get an established consistent group of clients quickly, because she embodies trust and love you want for your dog/cat.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
