About: My house has always been busy with two German Short-Haired Pointers since before I was born. As I got older, I was regularly taking care of high energy bird dogs while my parents went on fishing trips across the country. I have been trusted by my neighbors and friends to take care of their furry family members during travel for years. I have administered medication, catered to special diet needs, and carried older dogs up stairs. I am a senior at Montana State and since moving out to Bozeman 4 years ago, have not had a dog or cat. I have attempted to fill this void with volunteering at Heart of the Valley Animal shelter, and walking my friends dogs. I figured that I could use my love of animals to help the Bozeman community who have busy schedules and want the best for their animals. I am great with all types of animals, including dogs, cats, exotic pets, and reptiles. I'm only working around 15hr per week so I have lots of time to play with your pets. I am a student who has class from 2-5 on Monday through Thursday. I am available all day Friday-Sunday. During weekdays, my work schedule is very flexible! I am comfortable going to your home to provide care for your pets, or caring for your pet at my apartment. I do not have a fenced yard, but am surrounded by walking trails and a large open field. Unless your dog has an outstanding recall, they will be leashed the entire duration of our time outside. I have an active lifestyle and love to get outside and explore.
About: I’ve been dog sitting for essentially my whole life! I grew up with 3 small dogs in Davidson, North Carolina, then continued freelance dog sitting throughout undergrad and now grad school at MSU in Bozeman. I’m studying environmental microbiology, and because I’m not sure what my postgrad steps are yet, I am hesitant to get a dog of my own. So, I’d love to be an aunt to as many Bozeman pets as possible! I have taken care of dozens of dogs and cats for my close friends, professors, managers, and strangers. I have no problem with overnight visits due to my flexible schedule, and I’m an avid runner (I ran track and cross country in college) so I’m happy to help dogs get their zoomies out. I can run with high energy dogs if you’re tight on time one day or your pup needs more than a walk. I’d love to wear out your dawgs! As a grad student, I have more flexibility than standard 9-5ers, but often need to spend a big chunk of the day in the lab. I’m usually able to leave around lunch, but weekdays typically require me to be gone for a few hours at a time. However, weekends are very flexible, and I am almost always available for overnights and have lots of time in the evenings and mornings for walks/runs. Sometimes I have periods of more writing and computer work, and during those times I can be at home with fur babies for more of the day. Unfortunately I can’t board pets due to my landlord’s rules, but when I sit in others’ homes, I usually exercise pets in the morning and in the evening (since I also have to get my zoomies out) and send pet pictures daily, though I can do this more frequently upon request. I am generally very flexible, responsive, and receptive to whatever pet owners’ preferences are!
