“Megan did a fantastic job watching our two older dogs while we were away for about a week. She came by for a meet-and-greet before our trip, sent frequent updates and photos, and super helpful when we forgot to do some small things around the house before leaving for the airport. We would absolutely book her services again in the future!”

“Trena was amazing! She is great at sending pictures and keeping us updated. Our house looked like she had never even been here when she left. It was so nice not having to worry at all about our dog while we were on a trip. Thanks so much Trena!”

“Savannah is great- reliable, communicative, and friendly. While gone for the weekend she made sure to not only check on my two cats, but love on them and play with them too. My favorite part was the update pictures she would send, as well as feedback on how my cats were doing (eating, energy, litter activity, etc.) and having the veterinary background that Savannah does, my babies were in great hands. Consider Savannah for your booking and you won’t be disappointed!”

“Valeria, stayed overnight to take care of our three dogs. This was our first time using Rover and we were so fortunate that she came to help us out with the overnight stay. She did a great job communicating and sending picture of the dogs. We will definitely use her services again.”

“Tressa is a great dog sitter! My dogs love her and she is very kind and gentle with them, and does a good job handling my more rambunctious dog. She sends great regular updates and I can tell she is spending quality time with them.”

“Naomi was a fantastic sitter! She stayed at our house for several days and did a great job keeping our very active Vizsla entertained, sending us updates and photos too. When we got home, our pup was happy and tired, and everything in the house was neat and in order. We’d absolutely recommend her!”

“We are very fortunate to have found Jenna and Tula. From our very first meeting, she made us feel completely comfortable leaving our dogs in her care and the pups all got along great. During the stay, Jenna was always in touch, sending daily updates and pictures. It was clear that they were having a great time enjoying her and Tula's company, and we could see how much attention and love they were receiving. We returned home to happy, well-cared-for dogs, and we couldn’t have asked for more. Jenna truly goes above and beyond and we will definitely be reaching out the next time we need help with our fur babies.”

“Emily was absolutely perfect with my boys. When i returned home the house was clean and dogs were very happy! She sent me pictures of the boys every day and i loved that. I would highly recommend Emily 👍🏻”

“Kona had as great of a vacation as we did! We felt guilty leaving our new rescue, but Keeley made everyday fun and exciting for our high energy pup - long walks and lots of attention...and even a pup cup for our spoiled girl. Keeley sent great pictures. Aside from dog care, we had her take care of our cats, plants, mail and house. Everything looked great. Highly recommended!”

“Britney was wonderful! Very responsive and communicated (with the best photos!) throughout the time she house-sat for us. She was professional, tidy and the pups enjoyed the time with her. We're thrilled with Britney and can't wait to have her sit for us again soon!”

“Landry was awesome and took excellent care of our pups during our house-sitting booking. One of our pups has some special needs (requires oral medication) and she followed all the directions for care perfectly. 10/10 would book again!!”

“Frenchie has sat a few times for us and always does a great job. We were running a little late leaving so we’re still home when she arrived. Both of our dogs ran to her and were so excited to see her so it’s obvious they have bonded well as they are normally reserved with people they aren’t fond of.”

“Bailey took such great care of our senior dog! Our dog can be a little quirky so it’s comforting to find someone that understands that. When we got back from our trip our dog even went up to the guest room like she missed Bailey! Bailey also left our house in great condition and washed all of the linens she used. Happily will book her again!”
“Emma was very helpful when she house sat and helped with my pup. She was communicative, sent pictures, and the house was clean when I returned. I'd recommend Emma to others.”

“Rylee took great care of our pups on a last minute trip. She was flexible with our timing and was great at communicating with us. We look forward to her watching our pups again.”

About: I have experience pet sitting for dogs, especially caring for a reactive one for a couple of years. I understand how to work with fearful dogs and will care for them regardless. I can walk, feed, and even give medication as needed. I have a deep passion for animals, especially dogs, and I would love to be able to care for yours! I have also worked alongside veterinarians to gain experience in animal handling. I love all dogs, big and small, and I know I could provide great care for your pup! I’m currently a student at Montana State, but all of my classes end at two. I’m available on the weekends for overnights and day pet sitting. I will care for your pets like my own, but I also understand that many pets have different boundaries. I will always respect their boundaries and make sure that your animals are comfortable and happy in their own spaces. Whether that means crates, time spend apart, or time spent together, I will make sure that your pets still feel like they are home.
About: I've had pets in my family since the day I could remember both cats, dogs, and little beta fish. I love going home to visit my Mom and sister, but also to see my dogs. I love being able to feed them, take them on adventures, and simply hang out (I'll never enjoy picking up dog doo doo though). I can't have a pet due to my lifestyle and current living situation, but can definitely care for your pet while you are away. I have basic training and know how to appropriately stop bad behavior, but am willing to employ any training regimens you have your pet on. I have some puppy care experience and lots of carpet stain remover if necessary. I'm currently attending Montana State University and am in my 4th year. My credit load is super light with it being my final semester, so I find myself with lots of blocks in my schedule and availability. I work overnight on Tues, Wed, and Thur, so would prefer to not have a pet overnight those days, but am willing to negotiate. I'll care for the pet however they need me to. I understand everyone has their own way in how they want their pet cared for. In terms of diet, exercise, attention, and stimulation every pet has different needs that keep them healthy. If I'm in someones home I hope to leave it either the same or better than I found it.

Tressa was amazing with our two dogs. Would definitely recommend her if you’re looking for a sitter. She sent lots of photos and videos and our boys warmed up to her so quickly! We’ve struggled with finding a good sitter in the area and are so lucky to have found Tressa on Rover. Thank you, Tressa!

Hailey was absolutely amazing with both of my dogs! She’s a great communicator and keeps you updated throughout your time away from your pups. When my truck broke down and I was delayed, Hailey was incredible, she extended her stay and made sure my dogs were perfectly taken care of. Both of my dogs loved her! I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cowan walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cowan maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cowan choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cowan. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
