“Absolutely amazing, my dog is a rescue dog and I am always unsure as to how he is going to react with others. He love Rachel from the very first day. She is such a caring person. Thank you.”

“Jasmine is the best! She cares for our pets as they were her own. Very responsible and prompt to respond to any questions we have. She has been our sitter for the lasts 4 years and I wouldn’t have anyone else.”

“Stephanie was phenomenal! You can tell that she loves what she does! She checked in daily and sent a picture each day! I will definitely book with her again! She was just way going and made sure our babygirl was doing well! ❤️”

About: I have experience in dog care for 16 years, from puppies to senior dogs due to owning two of my own. My friends trust me to watch their dogs, knowing that I will treat them like my own. I have a hybrid work schedule, so I am home 3-days of the week and usually just run errands on weekends close to my community. I currently have one senior dog so I have to make sure not to be away too long. I have a big yard, but it is not fenced off. I do have a stake where I am able to let my dog outside without him wandering off, and I have cameras in the backyard as well but I am usually outside if I let them out. I normally walk my dog for exercise purposes.

“Sonya was so great! She was so good to our cat Harvey. Even though we were a little bit out of her area she could tell we were in a pinch and really helped us out at the last minute. We cannot thank you enough!”

“Valeria did a great job dropping by our home to visit our dog while we were away for the weekend. She showed to to every visit on time and took good care of of her.”

“Just finished my second booking with Cindy and I already know that I will be requesting her again next time I have to leave my girls. She takes care of them exactly how I request and I can have peace of mind knowing they are OK when I'm gone. I highly recommend her!”

About: I had my first pet dog at 11 years old. I have cared for other dogs such as my neighbors dog feeding, giving them water and showing them love! I believe walking dogs is a privilege especially for me because it will help me get out more! I work full time but I work from home! So feel at ease knowing your pet will have my attention and won’t be left home alone. I am very flexible and can even take your pets out during the weekends to a park etc I have a fenced backyard. I can go on daily walks and runs, I also have a park near my home where I can take them to play outdoors.

About: I have a dream of being a professional dog groomer its what I do best at the moment but I have been pet sitting for 2 years to afford a car. My first job was working at a kennel feeding, bathing and walking dogs I do baths, nail trims and sanitary cuts. i would like to make shelter pets pretty simple as that so they get adopted because when i was working at a kennel there was this dog who stole my heart, a little shitzoo she was a "House dog" waiting to get adopted i first saw her sitting in a metal crate, dogs barking around her, i could tell she was scared so i asked if i could give her a bath, that was my first time giving a dog a bath, i opened the crate and gently got her out and took her to the bath and it seemed like this was her first bath aswell so i took it slow she wagged her tail and shoke off i was told to put her back in her crate after i was done but i didn't. i knew she didn't want that . i didn't want that. long story short i adopted her took her home and she still loves baths. she is 12 years old now I have a dream of going state to state and eventually to countries far far away to every shelter to make dogs pretty I don't know how else to say it I want to see dogs get adopted but shelters don't do enough to help the animals, I've seen the movies were dogs are caught off the street and then thrown in a cage for months only opening the door to receive food and maybe a new blanket if there lucky, people walking past all the dogs with yellow teeth torn ears, hair that has been brushed in months and I want to help simple so im asking if anyone will support my mission to travel and help all those yellow teeth "mutts" find there forever homes. Most of the day im playing with my dog "Nugget" ill tell you the funny story about his name. I currently have my own side gig of being a dog groomer, clipping dog nails, bathing and sanitary trims. Morning feedings lunchtime treats dinner feedings with a special treat 😋 Bathroom breaks TV time(my dogs loves bluey) I bring toys and treats on request (destuffed toys provided by my dog) If your pet needs there nails trimmed, bath or a sanitary cut im here for them and ill bring my shampoo bag
“Madison did an amazing job with Odie's Drop-In 7/2. Communication was on point, she provided helpful pictures of how he was doing, and allowed him the outdoor break needed while we were away. Would highly recommend and use again.”

About: I’ve been around dogs all of my life. When I was in college, I was the student my professors would ask to take care of their pets when they would go on vacation and summers, including house sitting. I currently have 2 boxers and love them so much! They are the most spoiled furbabies ever! Boxer energy is always a thing in my house!!! They are very well taken care of and that’s how I would treat my clients’ pets. I would not want just anyone coming in to take care of my pets, but someone that is trustworthy, dependable, reliable, and knows how to give the care and love that would like to give them when you are away. I would love the opportunity to spoil your furbabies too! I’m currently working full time but am available weekends. However my schedule will change soon to accommodate more availability during the weekdays in the summer. My dogs are sweet as pie and love to run, go for walks, and just play boxer style…they are boxers! I am used to the crazy that comes with it and all of the cuddles and love that they give in return. My dogs are used to going out multiple times on leash a day and walks daily. I take safety very seriously with my pets and always have my emergency pack with me-bottle of water, bags, phone, keys, even spare key in case, clicker, and treats with me!! I’d rather be safe than sorry.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 20 I've had my own pets and I have experience caring for dogs of all different sizes and breeds. I live in a house with a fenced yard and friendly neighbors! I live in a house with a fenced backyard. Many of my neighbors own dogs and you can see them walking their dogs in the neighborhood. My home is clean, fun and lovable.
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats for years, and I’m the go‑to person friends rely on when they need someone responsible to look after their pets. I’m comfortable with shy pets, high‑energy ones, seniors, and anyone who needs a little extra patience. I learn each pet’s routine quickly and keep things running smoothly while you’re away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just hanging out, I make sure your pets stay happy, relaxed, and well cared for. I’m a student with a flexible schedule, so I’m able to be around a lot and give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I can fit walks, playtime, and check‑ins into my routine easily. I take safety seriously and make sure pets stay secure and comfortable at all times. I follow your instructions closely, keep doors and gates checked, and stay alert on walks and during visits. I keep a calm, steady environment so pets feel relaxed, and I always make sure they’re supervised, safe, and sticking to their normal routine.
About: What sets me apart from other pet sitters is that i have a good grip on the needs and wants of the animals. I also have servel years of experience in dealing with large dogs. I have quite a bit of free time, though i go out on Wednesday and Friday, and I might be getting a job soon, so I am not sure how much time I will have further on. I care for them both in and outside the house, with attention, care, treats, and anything else that the dog or cat might need or want.
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Winndale
Jasmine has watched our cats multiple times and is always prompt to respond and has everything taken care of, you know your pet sitter is good when you're more anxious and nervous animals come out and greet her! Always thankful for Jasmine and highly recommend her services!

Nicole is an amazing Rover dog sitter. I asked her to stop by twice before my trip so she could meet my dog and play with him. She took the time to interact and play with my dog. She stayed with him for the full requested hour. She took time to pet and cuddle him too. I will request her if/when I go out of town again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
