“Naomi has taken care of my pets on many occasions and done an amazing job. One of my dogs is reactive to other dogs and in addition is a “tripawd”, having lost a rear leg due to injury. She can be a bit of a handful to manage, due to her reactivity and also due to her physical limitations. Naomi is an expert managing her behavior and is keenly observant of her physical state; which allows her to plan walks that give my dog the right amount of exercise without overtaxing her. Naomi has also cared for my cats on many occasions and has an instinctive connection with animals, even very shy cats. She is extremely conscientious about feeding and medications, including special dietary requirements for my senior dog. I always feel complete peace of mine leaving my pets in her care.”

About: I’ve been taking care of pets since I was a little kid and helped my parents at my uncle’s farm. I truly love all animals and enjoy their individual personalities. I have experience dog/house sitting dating back to 2000 in the Camden area. Since we moved last year, I’m looking to meet new clients and help you with your furry loved one in the Waterville area. I worked in animal hospitals in my early 20s so I have a great wealth of knowledge to draw from in many areas (but not exotic pets, as none of the veterinarians I worked with had that as a specialization.) I’m currently working from home doing some freelance work and have many opportunities to go for walkies. We are currently without a dog in our home, and I’m looking to get out more. Any pet I take care of is treated as if they’re a member of the family. I believe in spoiling pets with love, but keeping the boundaries of the owner so as not to undo any training. Reinforcing good behavior is always a priority.

About: I work year-round at a summer camp, and I love to take care of animals on the side. I can come to your home and look after your dog where they might be more comfortable. I have a cat at home, but I am missing my time living with dogs, so I thought that this would be the perfect compromise! I am also available to take care of any cats or other small animals that you may have at your home. When camp is not in session, I work remotely. That means I can work wherever there is wifi! More time to spend with your fur babies. I can do whatever works best for both of our schedules. I love having dogs (and cats!) come to my house, but sometimes I think it's easier for them to stay in the environment where they are the most comfortable. I am willing to accommodate what you think is best for your pet.

I used to call her a "horse whisperer" because even as a little girl, she was fearless and could calm and ride horses with the most challenging personalities. I cannot imagine a more compassionate, committed, responsible, or effective caregiver than Tori to entrust with the well-being of a dog, or any animal for that matter. ”

“I am so grateful I found her! My new work schedule was so hectic and I was exhausted when I returned home. Long walks with my Yorkie (9) and Yorkie-Palm (1) turned to us just standing in the front yard. I knew it wasn't enough. I knew I needed help, my dogs deserved more. She arrived on time and communicated with me the whole time she is with my pets, which was very important to me. They absolutely adore her! My dogs are not neutered so they don't have many options when it comes to pet hotels. Thanks to her my dogs are well taken care of when I am away and also get the right amount of exercise on the days I don't have the energy to give them the walk they deserve. About: I've been in contact with dogs as long as I've been walking and talking. My parents always had a pack of 4 running around the house and my brothers and I were frequently helping out with feeding, walking, etc. I used to spend a lot of my weekends with my mom’s poodle, trimming his unruly coat! I also have owned rats, fish and cats, and am comfortable caring for them, as well as birds. Just let me know if you have a smaller critter that needs some care! I have experience with farm animals such as horses and chickens, and am happy to watch goats, cows, you name it!! My Service Dog in Training, Artemis, and I are currently travelling across the US together! We’re currently home in Maine again and offering services all over! I’m available any day of the week, all hours of the day to hang out with your pet :) I work a hybrid job as a peer support partner that’s mainly remote, so you can rest well knowing they won’t be spending long hours alone. I clicker train my dog, Artemis, my service dog, and have mini training sessions everyday with her. I'm more than happy to include your dog if you let me know what you'd like to work on. I also have experience with reactive dogs, as my late mastiff mix came into my care with an extreme case of stranger reactivity that I managed. So if your pup is timid or shy, I will for sure still take them on and give them the best experience catering to their specific fears. I know owning a reactive dog can be isolating and stressful. Let me take some of that stress away by being understanding of your pups and their needs! I’m more than happy to arrange meet and greets to discuss fido’s specific needs, and let them get used to my presence. Understanding and listening is important in managing reactivity, and I’m more than happy to be that person!
