About: We brought home our 1st puppy when our eldest daughter was 8 weeks old. Everything since then has been easy! Currently have an 8yr old Golden Retriever with a fenced in backyard. Each of our grown children took in a dog or puppy once they had their own homes. We have had cats, hamsters, fish, and guinea pigs over the years. I'm recently semi-retired and my daughters have used Rover for their dogs in far away states. I thought it would be a nice way to give our dog a playmate every once in a while. We have a large fenced in yard which your dog can run around or hangout with our dog if they'd like. Our house is split level so there could be 6 stairs at time to go up & down. I love to walk our dog & listen to books or podcasts.
About: I am compassionate, caring and loving to all cats. My cat is my best friend because she listens better than humans. Cats are my go to for unjudgmental opinions I work full time, so I would be available to care for your furbabies after 4pm. I would also be available on the weekends to provide checkin n needed care. I have 1 cat , our apartment is cat friendly and quiet with 2 adult caretakers. I have had 3 cats previously. They can be such good companions. She eats 3 meals, has regular water changes and litter box changes and plays good solo .

About: I’ve been taking care of animals my whole life! I’m a pre-veterinary medicine major at the University of Delaware so I’ve been studying animal behavior, nutrition, and welfare for a year now. I work as an ER veterinary assistant back home and a large animal hospital when I’m at school so I’ve gathered over 800 hours dogsitting, volunteering, shadowing vet clinics, and working. I’m passionate about taking care of your pet. :) I’m living at college which gives me a very decent amount of availability! As long as you book with me 1-2 weeks in advance, I’m available almost everyday. When caring for your pets in your home, I will follow any specials instructions or routines you give regarding feeding, exercise, and medications. I always make sure all pets feel loved, comfortable, and safe with me. I can also check the home for any issues, water the plants if needed, bring in mail/packages, and of course I will send pictures and updates!!
About: I've raised 5 of my own dogs, cared for family members' dogs, and neighbors' dogs since I was 15. I love them and treat them like my own children. Puppies and seniors are not an issue. I can care for multiple dogs at a time. All breeds. As of now, I'm pretty flexible. My daughter moved out, so it's just my husband and me. We have an 8 year old Beagle and a 4 year old dachshund. I'm available weekdays, weekends, and holidays for up to 2 weeks at a time to give your dogs plenty of attention and affection. First of all, I ask the owner if there's any special instructions for their pet. My availability allows me to be there to attend to and play with pets in the comfort of their own home. Erikah was fantastic with Tigger over two days! She did drop-in visits and walkies. She sent helpful updates and photos after each visit, so I knew he was happy and well taken care of the whole time. She was always punctual, followed all my instructions perfectly, and Tigger seemed comfortable and excited each time she came by. Super reliable and caring — I highly recommend her for drop-ins and walks. We were away the whole day, and when we returned Tigger was happy as ever!
Chris was wonderful caring for our kitty while we were away. She was prompt and friendly, and we could see the love shown to our fur baby because she provided cute pictures and detailed updates. She also went out of her way to clean up a fur ball and help take care of our mail and trash. We will definitely use Chris again and highly recommend!
This is the third year I have requested Jill to be with my meows. Even though there is usually a year in between visits (sometimes less), my cats always respond well to her return. She sits with them and they sit with her; I am always happy with her services. I fully intend to use her help as long as she will have me! Jill is really the best. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
