“Abby was amazing! I’m super happy with our experience working with her. We took a prolonged trip and had the help of Abby to take care of our cat. She sent us photos and thorough report cards. She also helped keep our indoor plants alive and this was a nice relief knowing my plants would get watered. My cat LOVES her, you could tell she was in heaven and all over Abby everytime she came for the visits, she did an amazing job giving our cat attention and loving her. Anyway, she was very responsive, professional, and did great with the animal care. Thanks Abby! I will be using her again and also would highly recommend her!”
“thank you again, Connally, for taking care of the critters. I love receiving your photos and updates while I am traveling: it gives me such peace of mind. I hope you had as great a time as Lola during your visits! 💗🐱”
“Excellent caretaking of our cats. Kelly went the extra mile to also feed our wild birds, which I know THEY appreciated! She made sure that the trash got taken out so that our house didn't smell of old catfood cans, which was so thoughtful. We will use her again!!!”
“Riley, you are a very special person!! You took in our little Chocolate when she was ill and we didn’t know if she would make it. You loved on her and helped her pull through. You offered her a bigger environment should she grow strong enough. You provided updates and pictures for the duration of our extended trip. We are extremely thankful that we found you! ❤️🐈⬛ Thank you so much for all you did for us and our little girl!”
“Rochelle absolutely exceeded all my expectations. I received so many lovely updates while I was away, and she communicated with me about everything. This was my first time using Rover so I was a bit uncertain, but it was such a wonderful experience. We will most definitely be working with Rochelle again, and I would recommend her to anyone!”
“Randi went above and beyond to make sure our animals were taken care of. She even voluntarily took home a chick that could not walk and fixed it's leg so it can get around on its own now. She also watered our plants and brought in mail while we were gone. She seems to know a lot about dogs and is a wealth of info on chickens, as well. Some of my chickens were not doing so well and thanks to her advice, they are looking healthier. I'd highly recommend her.”
About: I've grown up with dogs my entire life and I adore them. I have two dogs of my own, a 12 year old Border Collie mix and a two year old Australian Shepherd, and I volunteer down at the Richmond Animal Shelter every week so I'm used to handling a variety of dogs! I have a very flexible schedule and I would love to work with dogs of any activity level, age, or size! I definitely understand the importance of frequent potty breaks, consistent meal times, and lots of love and playtime! Also, punctuality is something that I take very seriously so you won't have to worry about me being late! But most importantly, I know how special your dog is to you and I will look after him or her as if he or she were my own! I look forward to getting to know both you and your sweet pup! :)

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
