About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and cats for most of it — pet care has just always been part of my world. For the past 5 and a half years, I’ve raised my own dog, a German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix, from a puppy to adulthood, including working through his reactivity, so I have real hands-on experience with reactive and high-energy dogs. I know structured exercise, mental stimulation, training, and reading a dog’s cues, and I’m comfortable handling pets that need a more experienced, patient hand. Whether your dog is laid-back or comes with their own quirks, they’ll be in good hands with me. I was recently laid off from my full-time job at the airport, so my schedule is completely flexible to fit the needs of you and your pet(s). Your home and your pet’s safety are always my top priority. I treat every house I stay in with the same care and respect I’d want for my own — securing doors and gates, following your pet’s routine closely, and staying alert to anything out of the ordinary. About: I grew up helping take care of dogs and have been around them for as long as I can remember. I've looked after my own dogs as well as those of friends and family. There’s hardly been a year in my life without a dog in it, and I truly can’t imagine life without one! I currently work full time as a 2nd grade teacher, but I’m available on weekends for boarding, walking, or playing with your dog. During the week I can walk your dog in the late afternoon and evening. I have a fenced in yard and my house is in a neighborhood. I currently have one dog who is a morkipoo and is very playful and loves other dogs. I am able to crate your dog if needed.
