About: I have a very well happily trained service animal that helps other animals and people keeping everyone happy. My goal is to always keep the animal happy while being trained. Every walk is to bring happiness to the animal. Every drop in visit is to bring an animal a peace of mind an happiness. My hope is to always bring the owner a peace of mind along with the animal an a genuine happiness at the end of the day so that every animal and owner can feel at peace. Overnight stays I hope to just give peace at mind to Owners and animals, if there are every any concerns I will always send photos of the animals doing daily things at their usual times. I am currently in school for my bachelors and work a full time job. However, I always make time to take my pups on close to a mile walk a day. Along with 30 min of training on necessary manners and any tricks we are working on at the time. They get fed 2 times a day with appropriate vitamins and supplements for each of my animals! I always check with owners about any toys that they have along with any children toys in the home that I need to be aware of or smaller items they could choke on or get into.
“She was absolutely amazing! Our kitten absolutely loved her haha and got plenty of play with her. Our shy older one did great with her also. She left amazing detailed reports of what went on in the visit and attached lots of photos. Will be rebooking for future drop in’s!”

“Hannah is absolutely wonderful! She is such a kind, caring, and dependable dog sitter, and I honestly couldn’t ask for anyone better to take care of my pups. Her communication is amazing, and she always keeps me updated, which gives me so much peace of mind while I’m away. She is incredibly attentive to the dogs and really takes the time to make sure they’re comfortable, happy, and well cared for. She’s also so easy-going and flexible, which I appreciate more than I can say. Plans change, things come up, and Hannah is always so understanding and willing to adapt without ever making you feel like you’re a burden. Most importantly, I can tell that she genuinely loves animals and treats my dogs like they’re her own. I never have to worry when they’re with her, and that is priceless. I would recommend Hannah to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, responsible, and just genuinely wonderful to have taking care of their pets. ❤️”

“Sarah was amazing! I received the sweetest pictures of my cats each visit! My male cat needs twice daily insulin shots and Sarah had no trouble at all. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Melissa was incredibly helpful and assisting. Due to an unavoidable last second change in our previous sitter’s plan, we were left without a pet sitter during the holidays. Melissa stepped up with the correct questions, answers, and a level of care that we knew our pets were in good hands for the holidays. Our pets loved her and she provided great communication on them while we were out of town.”

About: I've been around dogs for as long as I can remember and have grown up with them since I was a little girl. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me because they're truly part of the family. During high school, I regularly dog sat for neighbors, friends, and family, and I still love helping care for their pets whenever they need someone they can trust. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I make it my priority to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Whether it's feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I'll treat your pet with the same love and attention I'd give my own. I'm dependable, patient, and attentive to detail, and I'll always provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands!! I am currently a stay at home wife! I am in a hybrid program for school but I only go in person on Monday and Tuesday from 5:30-8:30 pm so I will have plenty of time to care and spend time with your dogs! Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I understand that every pet has their own routine, so I do my best to keep them on their normal schedule for feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and rest. I'll treat your home with the utmost respect and keep it clean and secure while I'm there. I'll make sure your pet always has fresh water, plenty of love and attention, and a safe environment. I'll also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is happy and well cared for while you're away. I'm attentive to details, follow any instructions you provide, and will always make your pet's well-being my number one priority.
About: Growing up, I’ve always had a passion for animals and have always had pets of my own. I started pet sitting around age 9, caring for my neighbor’s three dogs while she traveled for work. I helped with feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and making sure they received plenty of love and attention while she was away. My love for animals has only grown over the years. I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pets, because they truly are part of the family. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual personality, routine, and needs, and I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. TLC goes a long way! I currently have my own French Bulldog, Toast, so I know firsthand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s hands. Whether your pet loves walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I’m happy to make their stay or visit feel as close to home as possible. I look forward to meeting you and your pets 🥰 I was definitely born to pet all the dogs and cats! I’m currently a college student taking online classes, which gives me a flexible schedule for boarding, house sitting, drop-ins, and walks. I recently moved to Jacksonville, NC and am currently searching for a full-time job. In the meantime, what better way to earn some extra money than doing something I genuinely love; caring for animals! I’m home often and have plenty of time for walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, and lots of love and attention. 🐾 Your pet’s safety and comfort are very important to me. I have a backyard for supervised playtime and a spacious neighborhood that’s great for walks. If your dog uses a crate at home, feel free to bring it and I’ll happily set it up so they can maintain their normal routine. I also encourage you to bring their favorite blanket, bed, toy, or anything with familiar smells from home so they have a cozy, familiar space where they can feel safe and comfortable. I’ll follow any specific instructions you provide and give your pet plenty of love and attention while they’re in my care.
“Outstanding Cat Sitter — Above and Beyond! Rebekah was absolutely wonderful with our two cats, Sadie and Bella! During the five days Rebekah cared for our girls, we received updates twice a day, always with great photos and videos. Every message was thoughtful and “newsy,” and Rebekah never hesitated to respond whenever we reached out, which gave us the total peace of mind everyone wants while out of town. One of our cats, Sadie, worked herself into such a state that she developed diarrhea even before we left. When we let Rebekah know, she suggested adding pumpkin to Sadie’s diet—and voilà! Problem solved. We were so impressed by Rebekah’s attentiveness, knowledge, and genuine care for our cats. We came home to two happy, well‑cared‑for girls and couldn’t be more grateful. This was the first time we have used Rover or worked with Rebekah, but it absolutely won’t be the last. We highly recommend Rebekah and would book again in a heartbeat!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
