“Samuel was great! He stayed over with Shelby for a night and came home to a very happy Dog. We were coming back from the mountains and uncertain of time coming home and Samuel offered to stay as long as we wanted, which ended up not being needed. Great communication and pics to go along with the say. Will definitely be using Samuel again!”

“Cheyenne was wonderful to work with. She stayed at our House over Fourth of July weekend to watch both of our dogs. She updated us daily with pictures and left our house clean. I will def. keep her in mind for future vacations and needs!”

“Bryan did a fantastic job pet sitting our two dogs and cat for an extended trip we took. The communication was excellent, and it was clear our animals received tons of love while we were away. Highly recommend!”

“Mitch is wonderful. We have one very quirky rescue dog and Mitch did great with him. He sent pictures daily which were so appreciated. We really were not worried about the dogs while away as we knew they were in his great care. He stopped by and met us and the dogs before we left. House was in perfect condition when we got home too. Communication was great and Mitch is a really nice guy. We will definitely use his services again.”

“Ayla & Han are superlative care providers for our pets and home. We received regular updates with photos, and our pets looked relaxed and happy. Two of our pets tend toward the anxious side, so this is especially impressive. The house was left clean and tidy. They washed the sheets, remade the bed, and even fixed a toilet! I’m sure we will discover more; we just returned late yesterday. We highly recommend Ayla & Han.”

“Aurelia was patient with our anxious pup. She took her for walks and stayed in communication with us all night. She did a fantastic job! I would highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.”

About: I have owned a dog my whole entire life All different makes and models. Last time we boarded our dogs they ended up getting kennel cough, and one of them almost died and I thought I could do better than that in my own home for other people to not have to go through that. Dogs love me and love going on walks and hikes with me and there will always be toys and treats. They will be stoked to go on the walk or stay at my house. I am new to Rover, but give me a chance and you’ll see that I will take great care of your furry loved ones. I typically work from noon until eight, but I dip out around four for a dog walk of my own. I also get 4 miles in every morning with my dog and yours is welcome to join. I can also have your dog at my house all day long. I have a fenced in backyard, but they are also welcome in my home as long as they are house trained. I also have crate on hand if that is better while they are inside. Plenty of toys, treats and long walks (or hikes if it’s ok)
About: I’ve been raising, fostering and rescuing dogs for the past 13 years. I’ve been through all the dog life stages and dealt with all varieties of dog behavioral and medical issues. Everyone I know says that in their next life they want to come back as one of my dogs-spoiled to no end! I work for myself and mostly from home so I am very flexible with my schedule and my ability to spend a lot of quality time with you dog. Also, I have about 10 fenced in acres up in the mountains that is a great place to bring you pup for some off leash playtime if that’s something you’re interested in I have a lot of space in my home and also over 10 fenced in acres to explore (with supervision, of course). Outdoor play/ walk time at my house can be on or off lease depending on what you are most comfortable with
“Natalia is a very caring person and has a great way with both dogs and cats. She stayed with our pets in our home and was very responsible. She stayed in touch and let us know how things were going. I would highly recommend Natalia!”

“Danielle was absolutely wonderful! She was very communicative and kept us up to date on everything that was going on while we were away. She sent lots of pictures, which we really appreciated, and it was clear she gave our pup lots of love and attention while she was here. We could tell our dog was very comfortable and happy having her at our house. Danielle was also a fantastic house guest - she left everything very clean. We are so grateful for her care and would happily book with her again. Thank you Danielle!”

“Jessie helped provide good care for our older dog while we were out of town, and helped with walks/medications as needed. Very grateful for her care and easy/quick communication.”

About: I have had pets my entire life and experience with all types of dogs. I’ve raised and trained many puppies, adopted rescue dogs and cared for aging dogs with various medical needs. Currently I have a very mellow and gentle 8 year old neutered male Great Pyrenees mix and a sweet playful and energetic 3 year old spayed female Chocolate Lab. I believe our animals are more than just pets. They are our best friends and beloved family members. I am an entrepreneur currently between projects and have full flexibility to schedule my time around caring for pets. I live near National Forest access and able to take pets for walks and hikes in the woods. I will treat your dog with the same love and kindness that I give my own animals and honor any specific requests made to provide the best care possible. I have a large fenced yard that also includes plenty of available shade under the deck and access into the basement. I have two very friendly and welcoming dogs and a family of animals lovers who enjoy giving special attention to furry visitors.
“Sarah was very professional and a clear communicator. She sent us really nice pictures of our fur babies and it was obvious how much fun they were having with her. She adjusted her schedule due to the high temperatures to make sure walks happened when it was cooler. Sarah is a very kind and caring person. We would definitely highly recommend her. Thanks Sarah!”

About: Hi, I'm Conrad, and I'm a Star Sitter with 117+ five-star reviews and years of hands-on pet care experience. I specialize in providing a calm, safe, and personalized experience for every pet in my care. Whether you're looking for boarding, house sitting, drop-in visits, or dog walking, my goal is always the same: to make your pet feel comfortable while giving you complete peace of mind. If you're new to Rover, welcome! Feel free to use my promo code **CONRAJ94323** for **$20 off** your first booking. My boarding is designed especially for small dogs. No large dogs here ever. That means your little one can play, nap, and relax without feeling intimidated or overwhelmed. My home has a fully fenced yard, no children, and a peaceful environment where dogs are treated like family. They're welcome on the couch, the bed, and anywhere they'll feel most at home. You'll receive frequent photos and updates throughout your pet's stay, so you'll always know how they're doing. I also live just half a block from a beautiful neighborhood park, giving dogs a peaceful place to enjoy fresh air, exercise, and one-on-one time outside. I'm home for most of the day, and whenever I step out, my partner is here, so your dog is never left without loving care. I have experience caring for senior dogs, diabetic dogs requiring insulin injections every 12 hours, pets with daily medications, reactive dogs, and dogs with unique routines and care needs. I'm patient, detail-oriented, and committed to making every pet feel safe, relaxed, and genuinely cared for. For house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking, I know how important consistency is. I carefully follow your pet's routine, administer medications when needed, provide exercise, enrichment, plenty of one-on-one attention, and send regular photo updates so you always know how they're doing. Most days you'll find a few little pups sunbathing in the yard, exploring the house, or curled up beside me while I work. I keep things clean, calm, and low-stress so every stay feels like a little vacation. I know leaving your pet with someone new can be stressful, which is why communication is one of my top priorities. You'll always know how your pet is doing through regular updates, photos, and prompt responses. I believe pets are happiest when they can stick to the routine they already know, so I take the time to learn each pet's personality, preferences, and individual needs to help them feel comfortable, confident, and at home. I'm also saving for vet school, and every booking helps me move one step closer to that dream. Caring for animals isn't just a job to me—it's the career I'm dedicating my life to. Every booking brings me one step closer to becoming a veterinarian, and I'm incredibly grateful for every family who trusts me with their pets. I care for each one as if they were my own. Future vet in training! Caring for pets is what I love most. I’m available mornings, evenings, and weekends and when I’m not home, my partner is, so your pet always has company and care. I provide safe, loving care for small pets only. In my home, they’re welcome to relax on the furniture and the bed so they feel comfortable and cozy. I follow your instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and treat every pet like my own while making sure their safety and happiness always come first.

“Tessa watched our dog Canyon in our home for a week in March 2026. Tessa took excellent care of Canyon, provided us with periodic updates and pictures throughout her stay! As an over-the-top and unexpected gesture, Tessa even picked up the backyard, washed any linens she used during her stay, and left our home better than she found it. Tessa is now our preferred sitter and we will definitely ask her first when we next need a sitter.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Will-O-The-Wisp
Riese did a fantastic job. Riese is very pleasant, kind & has a very calm demeanor which I feel helps both the pet & human. Gracie took to Riese right away on our first meeting. Riese always kept me informed on how Gracie was doing. & worked out well for us. I would highly recommend Riese. I will forsure ask Riese to help us out again in the future.
Morgan was excellent. She was so compassionate with our menagerie (3 dogs 2 cats). Our senior pup needed frequent night-time potty breaks, which she accommodated without complaint. It is clear she knows dog behavior and took the time to introduce our pack to her Dicé to ensure safety and a good fit. Morgan even bought Christmas presents for everyone!! I couldn't be happier or feel more confident in the safety of our animals and home under her care. Highly recommend!!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Will-O-The-Wisp walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Will-O-The-Wisp maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Will-O-The-Wisp choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
