About: Please give me a chance to get started with Rover! I've had pets of all kinds my entire life. There's always been a cat or a dog in the home. My family had a cockatiel for almost 20 years. We also had guinea pigs, an iguana, and African frogs. I genuinely love animals of all kinds and have experience taking care of many. While I might not have as much professional experience, I have many years of personal experience caring for my own pet as well as friends and neighbors. My schedule is mostly open. I am, however, usually busy around noon Monday - Thursday. But I am free before or after. I also often take our kids to school or events in the morning and afternoon/evening. But I am willing to work around these times. Because I am new to this, I am leaving my schedule open, but I may adjust or narrow it depending how busy I become. I live with my partner and her children. She has one adult daughter and two, twin teenage girls who have ASD and ADHD. We have one senior cat who is very shy. Our complex has a dog park, and there is is waking path nearby that runs along a creek. We have a small, fenced patio with grass, dirt, and plants. We also have a child safety gate that I could use to separate or contain pets if needed. There is also have a basement bedroom that is separate from the rest of the house via the garage. We would love to pet sit some dogs or a friendly cat. Our dog passed away last year and the girls have been begging for a new one. This would be a great opportunity for us to spend some time with different kinds before getting our own. It would also be very therapeutic for the girls. Note for clarification: My family will not be responsible for the caretaking. I will be the one taking care of the pets.

She did a great job with our puppy, who is, well a puppy and can be a handful. They went on lots of long walks and Kat worked on keeping Dottie on track with her training program. “This was the first time we used Rover for a house sitting. We were initially very nervous about having a stranger not only stay in our home, but also watch and care for Bernie. We were anxious that a sitter wouldn't care for Bernie in the way we wanted/needed and what she has come to expect. From the first message, Garrett was very responsive, which was greatly appreciated. It was clear he made a massive effort with Bernie. Usually uncertain around new people, she was comfortable with Garrett. After the meet and greet, we felt better about leaving her for this trip. Garrett was communicative, constantly sending us videos and photos of Bernie doing her favorite activities. Bernie is very cautious to warm up, but from the videos and photos he sent, I could tell that she was very comfortable. He tucked her under the blankets, supplied her with tons of belly rubs, played chase, and went on lots of interesting walks. When we returned from our trip, we were pleased to find the house in incredible shape. The bed was stripped, trash was taken out, and everything was clean. Overall, this was a very positive experience, and we will be working with Garrett again!”

Aside from daily updates and photos, she made sure to give our girl a little extra TLC. About: I’ve cared for animals since I was born. Growing up I wanted to be a vet. Although , that didn’t happen I still adore animals. I’ve bottle fed puppies, bathed neighborhood dogs and always cared for the strays around.
