Azharia has been walking my dog for the past few weeks and it is going exceptionally well. She is is a very caring animal lover with a great understanding of how to work with shy dogs. She is always punctual and communicates throughout each walk. Also she is very responsive and respectful of any special requests or instructions I may have. I will continue to work with her for sure. Highly recommend.

Alyssa was absolutely amazing with our two puppies! She was incredibly attentive from the very beginning, asking thoughtful questions to make sure they were safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Her timeliness and efficiency really stood out, and the constant communication throughout her time with them gave us so much peace of mind while traveling. We truly appreciated the updates and could tell that she cared about meeting both of our pups’ needs. We’re so grateful for her support and will definitely be booking with her again in the future. Highly recommend!

We needed a dog walker last minute and Ryan was exceedingly accommodating of this! He came to meet us on short notice and was very flexible with our walking schedule. He sent photo and video updates of Murphy during their walks and even had his pup come play with Murphy to get out his extra energy!! We will 100% be using Ryan in the future!!

Truly the best care I have ever had for my pets! I have a sensitive cat that takes a lot of warming up and Emily’s patience with him astounded me. She was so kind and communicative about the whole process and her knowledge and expertise with animals really showed. I HIGHLY recommend Emily for any pet care you may have, she will not disappoint. I mean she gave my dog a bath just because she was a little smelly from all her walks in the Texas heat! And did I mention her communication is on point! Truly superb, I can’t say enough good things about her :)

Since moving to the area we were really busy with moving and settling our children in that we had been neglecting our 2 pups. We found Mark and our pups are much happier to go on walks around the neighborhood. Mark is always on time and is very communicative regarding when he arrives as well as checking in on the next walk. He asks all the right questions to get to know our pups so that they are understood and comfortable. Would recommend Mark to anyone and we are already looking into having them boarded for an upcoming trip.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
