About: My number one pet care skill is dog walking. In current life I have now, my family recently adopted an eleven month lab mix puppy who I have been helping to house train and potty train her. I live near a park with a track around it, so it makes it easy to walk her. My other skill would be getting dogs to like and trust me. Ever since I was four, I have had at least two dogs, which has trained me to give dogs a lot of pettings, talk to them, and play with them. Other specialties I have are feeding, watering, bathing, brushing a dog, and training a dog basic tricks, such as sit. Overall, I have had five dogs, in my life time since I was four, including a Jack Russel, Terrier mix, Pyrenees Poodle, Feist, and a Lab mix. Parting outside of dogs, I have experience with caring for rabbits, birds and fowl (chicken, duck, geese, guinea), and a stray cat. Hi, I am a second year college student, and also have a job in fast food. Dog sitting is my side gig, which making my hours limited. I am available all day on Sundays, available after 1:30pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and before 3pm on Saturdays. The number one way I will care for your pet at your home is by being attentive. I'll make sure that they are not doing anything they should not be doing. I will also ensure they have plenty of time outside for potty breaks, walks, and exercise. Furthermore I will keep an eye that they are fed properly, have plenty of water, and loved and cared for. Lastly, I'll make certain to clean whatever mess your pet may make and guarantee that your pet is happy and content.

“Tiana went above and beyond to care for my cat while I was away! She played with him a lot gave him tons of attention, and sent plenty of pictures and videos! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

About: My first word was "cat" because of my attachment to our family feline, Miss Mystery. This first utterance foretold a life-long love of animals though dogs would become the norm in my household. Throughout high school, I volunteered at the local Humane Society and one of my first full-time jobs was a Dog Rescue Attendant. At twenty, I adopted my first dog (outside of family animals, of course) -- a dachshund mix named Leelu -- and she was my steadfast companion for 14 years. I now have a 3 yr. old lab-Australian Shepard mix - Gidget. Both of my girls have taught me invaluable lessons about dog care; specifically, I've learned a lot about different breed personalities and needs, puppy training and enrichment, senior dog care, and limited mobility dog care. I aspire to be the best dog mom possible and I will bring that same energy and commitment to working with your pet. I recently returned to North Carolina and I'm in the process of looking for full-time positions in my field. This process can take quite some time, but allows for a very flexible schedule. I'm available during the week from 8:00 - 7:00pm - late evenings upon special request; same goes for the weekend. I want your animal to see me as a companion -- a human they enthusiastically greet when we spend time together! Your pet will be treated with the same doting affection I lavish on my own pup. If I'm taking your dog on a walk, I'll make sure they're exercised, but also, they'll get plenty of time to interact with their surroundings and enjoy the sunshine. If I'm dropping in for a "play date," this would look like whatever your dog enjoys the most -- maybe tug-of-war, hide-and-seek, fetch, or puzzle games (every dog is different!). Regardless of the service, your pet will get lots of attention and belly rubs (if that's their thing). Ultimately, I will seek guidance from you, the owner, and follow your lead on how best to spend time with your pet!

About: I am a biology student at WCU focused on ecology, so I absolutely love animals. I’ve grown up with dogs and cats, but I also have experience with exotic animals. I’ve been dog walking and pet sitting for over 5 years, and it’s always been my favorite job! I work flexible part time jobs, so I am available both mornings and evenings, as well as weekends with notice! My current flexibility also allows for more daytime pet care, such as walks or check-ins. I have lots of experience with overnight pet care, and I know that trust is a big part of an animal feeling comfortable with a stranger in their space. I’m very calm and relaxed when I first meet an animal to give them space to come to me :)

“Jenna has been checking in on my puppy several times a week for the past month and I’m so glad I found her! She has been very flexible with my schedule and always sends thoughtful updates even as the check ins have gotten routine.”

“Tia is spending lots of time with our dogs and can handle all 3 of their needs. She sends fun photos, takes them on long walks, and takes care of the chickens too.”

“I can't say how happy I was to find Amanda! I am new to the area and finding a trusted sitter was such a relief. My kitties were happy, very well cared for, and mom and dad got to rest easy and know they were in good hands while we were away! Will definitely be booking again.”

“Patricia was extremely helpful when watching our dogs. I could tell my dogs enjoyed having her drop in. She was responsive and updated me daily on how my pups were doing! Would definitely hire again.”

About: Dog care is done at my home. Except for an occasional errand I am home throughout the day and evening. You'll have peace of mind knowing they are secure while spending time inside and outside in a large privately fenced yard with lots of shade. Physical, emotional, & psychological stimulation in a private home setting is invaluable compared to placing your pal alone in a commercial kennel. I provide a place where they can socialize, be loved and release some paw energy at no extra costs, in a stress free trustworthy environment. Remember a tired dog is a good dog. Social interaction is a necessity. They will also benefit from a clean indoor, stress free, safe supervised home. I would like to meet you and your pal by booking a MEET & GREET before securing a long term reservation. This helps to be sure we are all a good match for one another. It's time well spent where we can talk about your dogs personality, home routine, eating etc. M & G are usually done at my home. And last about 30 mins. I can also arrange to meet at a mutually agreed public location. I respectfully ask that only you, your dog, and/or your significant other be in attendance for the M & G. It's best not to bring children under 18 years of age. I do provide discounts for extended stays over 15 days and multiple dogs from the same household. Although I do not have a breed preference, I do have a responsibility to ensure the safety and well-being of each dog in my care. I do not accept dogs that are aggressive. This includes food aggression, toy aggression, a dog with a rough play style or dogs with a strong prey drive. In addition to Rover I also have private clients. I do my best to keep my calendar up to date and accurate. Feel free to reach out with any questions you have. I look forward to putting your mind at rest while you are away and spending time with your best friend. I enjoy being outside with my dogs and guest dogs. I can to take and send pictures of them a few times during their stay. If you don't get a photo everyday it doesn't mean anything is wrong, we are probably busy playing! No one laments more than I do when I leave my pal! MEET & GREET A MUST- COVID SAFETY PROCEDURES STRICKLY FOLLOWED. EASY CURBSIDE DROP OFF AND PICK UP AT MY HOME. I REQUIRE ALL DOGS HAVE PROOF OF CURRENT VACINATIONS-FLEA AND TICK MEDICATIONS-MY HOME AND YARD IS PEST FREE AND SANITARY-YOU CAN BE REASSURED YOUR DOG WILL BE CAREFULLY AND LOVINGLY CARED FOR WITH MY ATTENTION AS I AM HOME FULL TIME- My yard is sanitary and comepletly secured with 6' high wooden privacy fence allowing plenty of room for your pal to excersise and explore. I accompany all dogs while out of doors.

About: I have had dogs in my home since birth until age 58. Now that I travel a little more often I no longer have a dog at home with me but I still love having them around when my schedule permits! I grew up with Great Dane and Poodles and had small and large breeds of my own to include a fantastic Border Collie/Akita mix, a Puggle and a Pit Mix. My neighbor's Husky adopted me here in Whittier! I've met very few dogs that did not gravitate to me! I'm medical in background and can handle most all situations should something come up! I am single and I work from home so your pup can sit right next to me during the day, go outside in my fenced dog run or rest in a crate if so trained! I can walk in my neighborhood as well that has low traffic in our small town of Whittier, NC. Pets are treated like family in my home. They are welcome to sit on the sofa with me, on the floor with a pallet or in my crate if they prefer. They'll have full run of the house except for the bedroom.
