About: I have a wide array of experience with caring for dogs and cats—from the corgi puppy who barks through the night to the one eyed 18 year old deaf and blind Shih Tzu who just needed love and my current 9 year old rescue who loves cuddles and walks. I have experience administering medication, working with tricky meal routines, cleaning and sanitizing after potty accidents, and giving lots of love and pets. I am a teacher at a local high school and am free all day every day during the summer and before 8:00 am and after 4:30 pm on weekdays during the school year as well as full availability on the weekends. My pets are an integral part of my family and I start and end the day with a dog walk. I have a fenced backyard. There IS a pool, but I also have a 10x10 cage back there for potty breaks if you have a water loving dog that you don’t want in the pool. I have my own four legged crew: Ebby the funny fat cat and Teddy the sweet rescue dog. We do have stairs in our home but if you have an older dog that struggles with arthritis, I can stay downstairs with them while they are in my home.
About: With 5 years of experience caring for pets for friends and family I enjoy being able to meet new pets. I have cared for pets overnight in my home, drop-in care, and last minute sitting. Being a pet owner myself I know the importance of knowing your baby is well cared for. I believe in full communication and daily updates for peace of mind. I am a remote worker with the ability to be around your pets all day and let them out to my fenced backyard to play and potty breaks. During my free time I enjoy taking pets on walks around our neighborhood or playing in the backyard with them. I have a fully fenced yard and I am at home all day giving me the flexibility to be present while I care for your pets.
“Vanessa was great and gave clear communication. She truly cares about caring for pets. My Bella came home with a bandana and treat baggie as well. We will definitely be using Vanessa in the future as our sitter for future vacations.”

About: I absolutely love animals. I’ve got a 2 cats and 1 9m old puppy. I’ve got enough energy to keep up and am always wanting more and more animals if I could. I am currently working part time and my 4 year starts school soon so I have plenty of time to play and care for your babies. I have a large fenced yard. I have a large dog kennel and a puppy play pen if needed and extra dog beds laying around. Pantry is stocked with treats. I let my dog out multiple times a day and we take strolls out to the garden every night. We also take walks a couple times a week. I allow my animals on the couch and they are slowly take over the bed.
“Hannah was great! She provided a lot of updates and pictures and was willing to book with me at the absolute last minute, I felt very confident my pup was in good hands. Thanks!!”

And maybe your pup will come back knowing a new trick. I currently work very little (15 hours total a week) which leaves me plenty of free time so I want to spend it loving on pets. I always have someone here at the house when I am away so your pup will never be left alone. I have a huge fenced in yard and Walter & Millie love to make friends. I own a Massage Therapy practice which allows me to control my schedule. An hour here or there. When I am away I always have someone in the house with the animals so they are never alone. I have a huge fenced in yard for everyone to run around in and play. For all the water dogs I have a small puppy pool to play in! Lots of sticks and toys for fetch or tug of war.

I currently work remotely, which allows me to be home all day and provide consistent care and attention to your dog. I dedicate quality time for play, companionship, and plenty of cuddles throughout the day. About: I grew up with one dog in my house and have house/pet sit for family and friends. When I was getting my degree I worked at PetSmart in the Doggie Day Care. I’m a teacher and home more in the summer! I’m a teacher and will be home the majority of the day during the summer! Growing up my family dog’s routine was walks twice a day, feed twice a day, and given medication. I have a fenced in yard for your dog(s) to run around, sidewalks in my neighborhood to walk, and room to crate your dog(s) if thats what they need to feel comfortable. I currently don’t have a dog so they would have all the pets and snuggles!
“Gülay and Baris made my anxious little pup feel comfortable and happy. He had a great day with them evidenced by the photos and video they shared. Very communicative sitters who made the whole process easy! Will definitely book again.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 481 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Whitesboro. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Whitesboro commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 481 sitters in Whitesboro, 92% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
