“Jenny took such great care of my sweet boy! She sent daily updates and pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind. She was very attentive, communicated well, and was always quick to answer any questions I had. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I’d definitely trust her to watch him again.”

“I would definitely recommend Sureya to keep your pet. My Koda is very shy, barks at most people especially men ?. When I dropped him off he never barked. He went right to her. She’s very warm and inviting and i would absolutely rebook with her.”

“This was our first time using this service and Jilesa, as well as the first time boarding our dog. Jilesa was so friendly and immediately comforting for both myself and my Golden. Her property and her care for animals is absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough good things about her!”

“Brooke was great to work with setting up and caring for our dog during a six-day trip my wife and I took to CA. She has dogs of her own at her own and took in our dog as a border at her residence. We had not tried boarding our dog at another residence before, and this seemed to work very well. We will likely use Brooke again next time to care for our dog.”

About: Since I was a baby there has always been a pet in the house. I currently own a dog and a cat and my parents still have two cats and 3 dogs. I work full time as a teacher in MD, but have availability every weekend / holidays and I am available after 5:30 during the week! I currently have a dog and cat living with me and they are free to roam where they pleases and I monitor their food and water, take my dog out every few hours, play with lots of toys, go on lots of walks, and give them lots of cuddles.
“Raelyn was wonderful. Our 2 Shitzus were very well taken care of, so much so that when we came to pick them up, they were definitely happy to see us but you could tell they were very comfortable at the house and had a good time.”

“This was our baby’s second time with Rebecca. When we arrived he recognized where we were and was so excited he was yipping and his tail was wagging so hard his little butt was moving with it! Knowing how much he loves his vacation spot makes it so much easier to enjoy our own!!”

About: I’ve had animals all my life. From dogs to cats to exotics. My pathway in school was for animal science which I have my certification from that class. I also have worked at a vet before so I would say I definitely have some experience! Right now I mostly work from home so I’m pretty flexible. Whether that be for boarding or potty breaks I can pretty much make anything work. I have a section of my yard fenced off so they can just go out and potty but also love to take them for walks in my neighborhood! If they get along with other dogs great! If not I can manage to keep everyone separate if boarding is preferred at my house.
“Brutus had so much fun at the Furry Farm! After we met Kirk and his dogs at the meet and greet, we knew Brutus would be very comfortable there. We received many pictures and updates while we were away. Brutus also got a bath before we picked him up! We are very happy with our choice, and we will book again the next time we go away!”

“The fact that Courtney is a vet was one of the reasons I reached out to see if she was able to watch Sunny for a weekend while I was out of town due to how anxious she can get. Let me tell you, she did not disappoint. During the meet and greet, she asked about emergency vet info and offered her office as an option for urgent but non-emergency situations since I don’t have a primary emergency vet. She was aware of Sunny’s needs while she was there. Courtney also kept great communication and sent lots of videos and pics during her stay. I would 10/10 recommend her and will definitely be booking services with her again when the time comes!”

“Elizabeth was great! She sent plenty of updates during our dog’s stay, which was greatly appreciated and followed all instructions when it came to him. She was also super sweet and her family was just as sweet, we felt very comfortable leaving Meechie with her.”

“I can't say enough good things about Susan! She took good care of my GSD Ace for 25 nights while my family was on a long vacation and we were completely at ease the entire time. She was very responsible, communicative and clearly cared for my dog. I received regular updates, photos and videos which made being apart so much easier. Ace was happy, healthy and loved when I returned. Thanks a lot Susan!”
“I boarded my two dogs, Simba and Ghost, with Sunaina for five nights, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. She took excellent care of them, followed all of my instructions to the letter, and kept me updated throughout their stay. It was clear that Simba and Ghost were comfortable and well looked after, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. I highly recommend Sunaina to anyone looking for a responsible, attentive, and caring dog sitter!”

“Awesome. This is the first time I have used this service. A friend suggested it to me because I didn't want to leave Roscoe in a kennel that had concrete walls and lots of dogs barking. I was impressed by the reviews by other Rover customers and after meeting Coleen I was very comfortable with leaving my dog the following day. She sent me a bunch of pictures of Roscoe's 4 day stay. He even got a ride in her car during his stay...lol Loved it and will be using Coleen again. ”

“Alyssa, Bruce (her dog) and her home was a perfect match for our 2 dogs, Lola (4 yr old 55 lb) and Tucker (2 yr old 25 lb recently adopted). The combination of Alyssa's genuine caring, responsible, dog loving, positive and communicative personality, along with Bruce as a playmate, and her dog friendly home with large fenced yard, Lola and Tucker were comfortable, happy and entertained. We felt confident our dogs were in a good hands. We used her for 5 nights and would use her services again as well as recommend her. We drove 50 min for her services and felt worth the distance.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Whitehall Landing
Marie did a fantastic job of taking care of our Rosie- she sent regular pictures if Rosie, who seemed to be settling in and very well cared for. she even accommodated when we needed to drop her off a couple hours early because of pending snow. Marie and her family loved in our Rosie, and we really appreciated it!

Marie was great! She took my Nyxie last minute and made her feel so comfortable and loved. She was very active with sending pictures/messages keeping me updated about my baby girl. She has a designated area for the babies which looked so comfy. I would 100% recommend Marie!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Whitehall Landing home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Whitehall Landing.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Whitehall Landing sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in DE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
