About: I have a cat, but love dogs and cats equally. Have taken care of friends dogs multiple times and fallen in love with every single one! My cat is too shy for most doggy attention so I can primarily offer dog-walking and drop in visits. If a dog is particularly chill (and likes cats), I can board them with the kitty! I am happy to engage / entertain your pet in whatever manner they need and as long as they need. Games, walks, runs, brushing, snuggles are all fair game. I have a remote desk job with flexible timing so can be flexible to your pet’s needs. I have a very tiny bit of experience training dogs - so please let me know if your pupper has any behavioral issues you’re working on. My working schedule is flexible and allows me to be available during the week at any time of day based on the pets needs. My weekends can sometimes be booked up - but the calendar will be up to date there. However, unless I’m strictly out of town - I’m happy to check in on your pet during the weekend as well. In my home I have quite a few cat items and an extra carrier / litter box - so if a cat needs to visit they’re all set. I have food bowls for dogs. I’ll care for your pet in your own home however works best for them.

“Perfect sitter🥰”

“We were in a pinch and needed to figure out what to do with our dog when an out of town wake and a funeral came up suddenly. We found Jonathan on the Rover map in the area we were staying. He responded promptly and we set up the times we needed daycare. He was flexible as our drop-off and pickup times had to be adjusted. Took care of our dog and - very telling, I think - she seemed fine with going back for the second day. She also seemed fine, looked pretty relaxed when we picked her up,”

About: I love, love, love animals. I’ve fostered and have adopted a few dogs over the years. I’ve never trained a puppy but have definitely given loving care to seniors in the past. I work part time hours at a nearby retail store. I am basically free to care for your pup day and/or night. I prefer small lap dogs. Your pet will basically receive one on one care. No other animals in my home or children. Just my husband and I. We would enjoy the time with your pet.

“Lisa kindly dogsat for me at her home on a weekend day. My 4-month old pup had a great time with her and her pug (who is really cute). She had another client stay longer than expected, so ended up unexpectedly with three puppies on the same day! But she kept great communication and kept our appointment, which I really appreciated. You can feel Lisa's compassion for dogs. She keeps a very neat and clean home and property and has a fenced in backyard. Really glad to have her in the neighborhood!”

About: Ever since I was a kid, dogs have always held a special place in my heart. At the young age of 8, my aunt started leaving her 2 small dogs in my care while she worked noons-nights and weekends. Growing up, my neighbors would often go on trips throughout the years and leave their dog with us for a few days-weeks. At 14, my life changed forever following the adoption of Philly, our first dog and the Sun of our home! A few years later, Philly was castrated and I was by his side throughout every step of the way. I drove him to every appointment. I conceptualized and rearranged our living room to give him a roomy enclosed area to prevent too much movement and to stay near his loved ones. I’d sleep on the couch to make sure he’d have no complications overnights. I’d prepare soft meals for him to keep him nourished but not too full as he couldn’t go out for walks for the first few days. I created a log sheet to track his medications as I gave them to him throughout the day and oversaw his entire recovery process. One April afternoon in 2024, my cousin brought home a 2-month-old puppy out of the blue! He trusted and relied on me to foster and train my newfound nephew while he worked during the day as well as some nights when he’d work his second job. He’s grown quite a bit in just a year, and is definitely in the top 5 for the most energetic dogs I’ve ever met! Nevertheless, I love my nephew very much! My most recent experience was last year when I looked after a dog for almost 2 weeks (the fluffy white Bichon Frise often seen alongside Philly in my profile). His owners were so satisfied with my wholehearted care, they booked again a few months later. I’m currently working as an independent-contractor and dog care is part of my everyday life with Philly. It would be my pleasure to take care of your fur baby! I make it my priority to follow the schedule/routine you have in place for your dog. Doors will remain closed until your dog is on their leash. My house has an enclosed front and rear porch with secure doors, so fear not, it’s highly unlikely your child will get loose! I always give new dogs time to settle before meeting Philly to make sure they don't get off on the wrong paw. If they’re unable to get along, they will remain separated. If you plan on boarding your dog with me, they will be sleeping beside me in my room, in their bed or mine (whichever is preferred).

“Amrit and his daughter are very welcoming and took good care of our Enzo for the day. Amrit is very responsive. We would be happy to have him watch Enzo in the future and to recommend him to other pet owners.”

“Porkchop had a relaxing afternoon with Alex and Ursula! They made sure he had a peaceful time and accommodated his needs for a less busy potty break so they were able to bring him out to their fenced courtyard which he enjoyed:)”

“Amazing! Sent us pictures and kept us updated throughout the whole visit! Definitely need to book with her!”

“Jaclynn is great with dogs! She has a stellar temperament and a lovely fenced-in yard. She was able to accommodate me last minute for my two large dogs, and was super caring when one of them got frightened by a thunderstorm during their stay. I will re-book with her in the future!”

14. Santiago C.
“When I was 10 years old, I begged my parents for a puppy—that’s how we got Philly. Like many kids, I didn’t fully understand how much responsibility came with caring for a dog. But that’s when my brother Santi really stepped up. From the very beginning, Santi took on the role of Philly’s caregiver without being asked, and he has handled it with patience, love, and a deep sense of responsibility. Now that I’m older and away at college for most of the year, I always leave Philly in Santi’s care because it gives me the peace of mind that he will receive the most special and loving care under Santi’s watch. Santi knows Philly’s routines, administers his medications for various health issues, and most importantly, gives him the same level of love and attention that I would give him myself. Having been by Philly’s side through every stage of his life—from puppyhood to his current senior years—Santi understands what it takes to provide tailored, quality care. Santi has shown time and time again that he’s not just good with dogs—he’s devoted, reliable, and genuinely caring. Any dog would be lucky to have Santi in their life.”

20. Dawn S.

“Dawn is the most experienced, accommodating and trustworthy professional to care for my furbabies! She has looked after my 2 dogs for many years and treats them like her own. She knows how to care for my elderly pups with special needs. My yorkie, Skippy, is 100% blind and needs very special attention. I will not leave him with anyone else. Dawn makes sure he is safe and feels comforted when I can't be there. She even went out of her way to take the dogs to he vet, at my request, with little notice.”
