“Lea has been amazing! She communicates well when she’s with my animals and sends great pictures of them! It’s nice having a reliable person with them and she is so patient with one of my dogs who is more timid with new people. I will continue using her and I recommend her to anyone!”

“Anthony was SO good to our dog!! I can always tell when someone took care of my dog well because when we get home he’s calm instead of anxious. Anthony made extra time to meet my dog and learn about his routine before his visits, updated us consistently with pictures and videos, checked in to make sure he followed our instructions, and even did an extra visit just to make sure our dog had enough potty breaks. He also went out of his way to help me learn how to use rover for the first time and showed integrity with how he charges. Would recommend and will definitely be calling him for help again!”

“Taylor was fantastic! Very easy to work with. She was very sweet to my furrbabies and they seem to like her too. I am so happy I was able to find a sitter nearby! Would recommend 100%”

“Chandler is a fantastic sitter! He is always responsive, on time and very kind. Trustworthy and compassionate and has been the perfect person to watch over my senior dog with health issues.”

“Donny is the absolute best and always goes above and beyond to provide the best care! He is so responsive and takes the best care of my dog and cat. We could not be more pleased!”

“Hired I had a great experience with Ashlynn during their drop-in visit with my two dogs! They were kind, patient, and clearly knew how to make the pups feel comfortable. They played fetch and gave them some fun exercise, and the most impressive part was how they were able to connect with my usually standoffish dog—he even let them pet him, which is rare! I really appreciated the care and attention they gave, and I’d absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.”

“Alicia was a lifesaver by committing last minute to help us out and she even adjusted her plans when our plans changed! Nader and Velocity got some good loving and lots of playtime outside with toys and sticks!”

“Abreaunna is a TREASURE! She rescued us out of a bind last minute on a Holiday weekend no less. I cannot thank her enough, recommend her enough, and I can’t wait to rebook her again and again for our fur babies. Thank you, again!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have always had a special connection with them. Caring for animals comes naturally to me, and I truly enjoy spending time with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Friends and family often joke that their dogs end up following me around because they seem to feel comfortable and at ease with me right away. I understand that every dog is unique, and I believe in giving them plenty of love, attention, patience, and care while their owners are away. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and treated like part of the family. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a very flexible schedule and am home throughout most of the day. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special instructions, so they feel safe, comfortable, and right at home while you’re away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
