About: ***I have availability for one dog walking client in the Hopatcong/Lake Hopatcong/Mt. Arlington area only on Mondays and/or Friday*** I am a retired school teacher and I started dog-sitting in 2015 in the summers and school vacations. I loved it so much that I decided to do it year-round. You will not find a more responsible or caring sitter for your pets! My rates may be a little higher than some other sitters, but you get what you pay for, which is a trustworthy sitter with an impeccable reputation. When your dog stays with me, he (or she) will be treated the same way I treat my own-- spoiled rotten! I consider myself to be a small dog specialist, and feel that my small-but-cozy home is perfectly suited for big dogs in little bodies. There are no children in the home and I strive to keep a clean and clutter-free space. Someone is always home with them and they are treated to frequent walks (never left alone outside in a yard), snuggles on the sofa, playtime, and lots of hugs and kisses! If I am caring for you pet in your home as a house sitter, I will be available overnight until mid to late morning and then again from early afternoon through the evening. I always respect your home and will leave it in the same condition as when I arrived. I can bring in mail, water houseplants, care for caged pets, etc. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover ever since I was a little girl. My mother could never get me to stay home, as I was always running around the neighborhood, visiting all the dogs! Finally, she got me my own dog so I would stay home. As an adult, I had a dog, a black lab mix, who lived until the ripe old age of 15. I currently have Shelby, a Chihuahua mix, who is the most recent love of my life (don't tell my husband)! I love having multiple dogs and enjoy watching them interact. Dog sitting is the perfect way to get to know lots of awesome dogs and their equally awesome owners (anyone who loves their dog is awesome in my eyes!). Meet my pets Shelby - Chihuahua mix - friendly and playful. Certified pet therapy dog who has made several visits to the school where I taught -- she loves to lick faces and spread Chihuahua cuteness! About my yard I have an enclosed deck leading from my back door. This protects those door-dashers from escaping, and provides a place to get some sun and relax outside on nice days. I have an extra lounge chair ready for your pooch! I do have a yard, but it is not fenced. I take my own dog on multiple daily walks in the woods adjoining my house, and your dog would be treated the same while staying with me. Your dog will not just be put out in a yard unsupervised. My experience administering medication Yes, oral and topical meds. Your dog will NEVER be left unattended at my home. I usually only leave the house for my dog walking appointments, and during that time, someone else will always be home. I have a shady, fenced deck area where we hang out when the weather is nice. This is right outside my back door, so if you have a "door dasher," he won't get far! There is a wooded trail just a few steps from my home where we take our walks without having to worry about cars passing by or being in the hot sun in the summer. My home is small but cozy, clean and clutter free, When I visit dogs in their home, after the "business" is finished, I love to sit, pet, play with and talk to your dog.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with a genuine passion for caring for furry family members. Having grown up surrounded by dogs my entire life. I’ve experienced every stage of puppyhood and understand their unique needs, energy levels and personalities that each dog brings. Currently I work a part time job at a dog boarding/ daycare during the midday- night but I can always work around my schedule and work! I have a fenced yard to protect my dogs and cats! We have cat crates and pouches to make sure they get some outdoor time.

About: My friends used to call my house a zoo. In all, I have cared for dogs, a beardie, a ferret, fish, birds, hamsters, you name it. The only animal I really don't have experience with is a snake, but I have always admired their beauty. No matter what species you love, I will love and acre for them just as much! I am a teacher, and therefore am available after 4 PM on weekdays, and on the weekends. I am available during Christmas break and all federal holidays. If we live within a few miles of each other, I can make myself available between 5-6:30 AM. I am open to coming to you, or keeping your beloved fur baby with me! I do not crate (unless of course you request it), and I do not have a fenced-in yard just yet, but we are on .25 acres (your love-bug would reside with myself and my boyfriend, who has 2 Golden Retrievers and 2 orange cats at his family's house). If you don't normally have your furbaby in bed with you, we will follow that plan, but I have no issue with a bad night's sleep if it means I get to cuddle them.

I’m currently fostering a pup with See Spot Rescue in Jersey City and am completing orientation with Eleventh Hour Rescue so I can volunteer regularly. I’ve walked dogs both personally and professionally as Studio Manager in NYC, where pets often came to set and needed walks during shoots. I’ve also helped care for animals featured in shoots for Family Circle, Town & Country, Real Simple, Pottery Barn, and more. I’m reliable, gentle, and love building trust with pets — I’d be honored to be your pet’s new BFF and walker. I am currently working on walking pets part time from 10am - 2pm. I am also available on weekends. I can also help train your pup on walks. This is what I'm currently doing with my foster pup. I can easily care for your pet at home or on a walk. I offer shorter walks and also longer walks. I can take your pet for hikes around patriot path trails as I do love the out doors and hike often. Depending on your needs we can make it work.

About: I’ve had dogs since I can remember. When I was 11 I had my own dog that I took care of and eventually once I was able to drive I payed and did everything for her (she was my age). I’ve taken care of family members dogs as well. I’m currently working at a doggy boarding and daycare facility. My job is to make sure the dogs are safe, happy and healthy. We take them out to the yard and bring them in for playtime. We learn dog body language and how to deal with their body language. I currently do not have my own dog but I do work at a boarding daycare facility. If you dog needs to be crated I can easily get them in there. The facility has very high fences for when the dogs go outside. Some dogs we do have to keep on a leash outside so they do not run away. I also play with the dogs and give them lots of love. The same can be done in a clients home as well. I will do whatever is needed for the dog I am watching.

About: Ran a 50/50% owned petsitting business for about 4 years based in Essex County until I moved to Roxbury. My main roles were in-home pet sitting, daily dog walks, and Reiki, as I went to school in NYC and got certified in February 2024. Was a stablehand for a year before I graduated high school and used that experience to pet sit for people’s horses and livestock as well. Grew up with dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, and guinea pigs, and have unlimited curiosity to learn how to take care of anyone’s pets in the ways they need me to! Work full time 4-5 days a week at Trader Joe’s but given flexibility. Would love to meet you and your pet, and I am open to any questions! Currently working a full time job 4-5 days a week depending on the week, but able to do drop-ins as needed if our schedules work. Very experienced in live-in petsitting and can visit the animals on breaks if needed. I’m used to bringing a duffel of essentials and some groceries for my stays. Along with extra poop bags, and plenty of love. Lol.
