About: Hi! I bring genuine warmth and dependable care to every dog I watch. Whether going on energizing walks, maintaining routine feeding schedules, or providing calm, attentive companionship, I treat every dog like family. Responsible and attentive, I keep pets safe, happy, and well-loved whenever their owners are away. I am currently working as a Physical and Health Education Teacher and when I am done teaching for the day I like to spend my extra time walking our furry friends to help me save money to buy my first home. I am free weekends as well so afternoons and weekends and even holidays work for me! For me, it's all about safety and fun! I care for your pets as if they were my own, showering them with love and affection.

About: I had a Yorkshire Terrier who lived for almost 16 years. After he passed away, I found a small puppy on the street. I took care of him and eventually couldn't give him away. Now Lucky—that's his name—is 4 years old and weighs 75 lbs. I'm very comfortable with dogs and have a good understanding of their behavior and what they need. You could say I have over 20 years of experience with dogs, and even more if you count cats. If your dog loves to run, I can take him to a park with unpaved trails (I can explain why I prefer unpaved trails) and ride alongside him on my bicycle. I have a protective dog cover for the back seat of my car and a leash that can be attached to a bicycle. I also periodically donate money to people who rescue and care for orphaned and homeless dogs. I have enough time to handle this job, plus I truly love dogs and cats, so it's honestly more of a hobby than a job. First, I sit on the floor next to the dog. When my eyes are almost at the same level as the dog's eyes, they feel no aggression from the stranger. When the dog gets used to me and my presence doesn't disturb him/her, I start playing with him/her (I can't call them 'it'). I've fed orphaned and homeless dogs before and know how to approach them. Once I spent 5 hours (I'm not kidding) saving a homeless dog who had fallen into a water drainage and couldn't get out.

We really appreciated how positive he was about staying with Belle and Rory. We would definitely use David again!

I have a 12 year old dog and a 12 year old cat. The dog is pretty sick and needs very specific care and Jessica went above and beyond for both of them! You can tell she really cares deeply for the animals she takes care of. She sends very helpful updates, is very attentive to their needs and my pets already miss her.

She left the house in perfect condition, and it was clear that my dog thoroughly enjoyed her time with her. She provided photo updates throughout the stay, which gave me additional peace of mind. Erin is everything you could ask for in a sitter; she is a rare find and a true gem!

Antonia is an expert dog walker. She took excellent care of my pups while I was away And when one of them got very seriously ill, she acted quickly and allowed us to get my Coco to the vet to get the help she needed. She also expertly cleaned up my house from the sick dog. I highly recommend her to anyone.

Alexyss was absolutely amazing. Our dogs are our babies and we have never left them with anyone other than Family, but after Alexyss was recommended to me by someone I trust, we decided to set up a meet and greet. It went very well and We felt comfortable and knew that our boys were in good hands. Alexyss’s history working in emergency vet offices was extra reassuring and honestly one of the main reasons I felt so comfortable. She was very communicative, thorough, and left our home in perfect condition. We are so grateful to have found someone we can trust!

About: I have been a veterinary technician for the last 19 years. I have spent the majority of that time working at a small animal practice, but also worked at an emergency and specialty practice for 4 years during that time as well. During my career, I have dealt with numerous c-sections, geriatric, diabetic, and renal patients. Meaning that, injections, SQ fluid, oral meds, etc, are not a problem.. I have also done pet sitting on the side for many years during this time as well. I have always had a love for animals. I currently own a 9 year old mixed breed dog, as well as a cat, and chinchilla. I have had many pocket pets over the years as well. I currently work full time, overnights only, on the front end of the week. I plan accordingly, to make sure the pets needs are met before and after work shift, and spoil them extra on the days I’m off. I adjust to whatever needs the pet requires, and make our schedules work in sync so that there are no issues with bathroom breaks, or feeding/medications.

I didn't give Brigid an easy first go-round...my rescue had only been with me ~2 weeks before I needed to go see family for a long weekend. So both my pups were still getting used to each other and adapting to this new normal...and then mom LEAVES!!? She handled them both so well, calmed all of my anxiety because she sent SO many pictures and little "what they've done today" summaries. She even left a family event early because they were causing havoc in my apartment! It's exactly what I've been looking for in a sitter for my babies. :) She is wonderful!!

Jaylynn was absolutely amazing with my 3 spicy Chihuahuas! 🐶❤️ She handled all three of them exceptionally well and treated them with so much love, patience, and care. Even my spiciest one absolutely loved her—which says A LOT! 😂 they even had their own fashion show. Jaylynn stayed overnight in our home for 4 nights, and throughout the entire stay she was trustworthy, reliable, and provided us with multiple updates and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. I highly recommend Jaylynn to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and trustworthy sitter. We will absolutely be rebooking her for next month! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Christine was beyond amazing!!! We attended our son's wedding weekend and did not want to leave our 14 year old dog alone as she gets anxious. Christine readily accommodated our split shifts needs and was very much liked by all of our family staying at the hotel. The true testament to her goodness and her love of pets is when she came to our hotel our dog got so excited, wagged her tail non- stop and jumped with excitement after meeting with her for the third time. Our dog treated Christine like she was family and that is the type of person she is. Christine made us very comfortable and our dog even more. I will highly recommend and will ask Christine again to stqy with our dog. Christine is AWESOME!!!!

FAQs for House Sitting - Kenvil

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 8,098 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Kenvil. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kenvil walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kenvil maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kenvil choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kenvil. On Rover:

  • 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
