We cannot thank Eliana enough for sitting our home and sweet boy. We were gone for many days and our dog was so happy the whole time we were gone. He loves spending time with Eliana. She is so kind, thoughtful, attentive to details - we are lucky to know her.

Kayleigh was awesome with Midnight/Duke! She was very accommodating to their schedule and routine so they can be happy while me and my husband were traveling. We had a cancelled flight on the way back and Kayleigh was able to accommodate quickly as well! Highly recommended and we look forward to the next booking! The dogs love her!

Super smooth house sitting experience! My home was in perfect condition when I returned, and most importantly, my fur babies were happy, healthy, and well cared for. There wasn’t a lot of communication throughout the stay, but I was completely fine with that since I was in a no-network zone myself. I chose Tom because he has a hobby ranch and is experienced with animals. During our meet-and-greet, I felt confident that his calm, collected nature made him the right person to care for my pets—and I was absolutely right. Thank you Tom. Hope you had a wonderful stay

Gabbi did a wonderful job for us. She's responsible and conscientious and loved on our pup so well that when we returned home, the sad story our dog gave us was very short compared to other times we've had to leave her. That alone, made us feel so relieved knowing she was so well cared for. We will definitely be using Gabbi and her services again!

Mercedes was absolutely incredible as our house and dog sitter. From the moment we left, we felt at ease knowing everything was in capable hands. She took amazing care of our home and our dogs. Everything was spotless and exactly as we left it. Mercedes kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which meant so much and really helped us relax while we were away. We had a great experience and will 100% be asking Mercedes again in the future. Highly recommend her.

About: I have years of hands-on experience caring for animals of many different species, ages, and temperaments. Before moving, I regularly provided pet and house sitting for five different families each summer. Those households included dogs, cats, birds, lizards, geckos, snakes, turtles, fish, and other pets with detailed feeding, cleaning, and care routines. I currently continue to care for a large multi-pet household with both senior and young dogs, cats, a bearded dragon, freshwater and saltwater aquariums, exotic fish, crabs, seahorses, praying mantises, and numerous plants. I also have extensive experience caring for horses/farm animals, and worked as head equine manager for a therapy barn for two years, along with being a horse trainer for the past five years. At home, I have two dogs, seven cats, two horses, a miniature donkey, and chickens. One of my dogs is a Labrador, and the other is a mixed-breed dog I rescued from the side of the road. Living with and caring for so many animals has taught me to pay close attention to behavior, routines, appetite, comfort, and changes that may indicate stress or illness. I am experienced with puppies, senior pets, multi-pet households, and dogs with separation anxiety. I understand that some animals need more than a quick feeding or walk. They may need patience, consistency, quiet companionship, or someone who can remain in the home so they feel safe and secure. I am comfortable administering oral medications and subcutaneous injections when provided with clear instructions. My educational background includes an advanced college-level animal science course and an interactive veterinary medicine course, both completed with an A+ average. While I am not a veterinarian, this training strengthened my understanding of animal health, handling, safety, and the importance of following care instructions carefully. After working as a horse trainer for five years. That experience taught me how to remain calm, read body language, recognize signs of discomfort or anxiety, and adjust my approach to the individual animal. Those skills carry over directly to working with nervous, energetic, young, or unfamiliar pets. When caring for someone’s animals, I take both their pets and their home seriously. I follow feeding, medication, exercise, and household instructions closely, keep pet areas clean, and provide regular photos and detailed updates. My goal is to maintain each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel safe and comfortable while their owner is away. Animals have always been a major part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely enjoy. I do not shy away from detailed instructions, multi-step care, unusual pets, or households with several animals. In fact, I appreciate the opportunity to learn what makes each animal feel safe, comfortable, and understood. Every pet deserves patient, attentive care, especially the ones who need a little extra time and understanding. Animal care is already a major part of my daily routine, and I currently have a very flexible schedule. I am available for early mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnight stays, weekends, holidays, and many last-minute requests. I can accommodate dog walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting throughout the week. Safety, consistency, and communication are my top priorities. Every pet has different needs, and I take the time to learn their routine, personality, exercise requirements, medications, and any special instructions before care begins. I have experience with puppies, senior pets, multi-pet households, separation anxiety, oral medications, and subcutaneous injections. During house sitting, I stay offer to stay overnight and spend as much time as possible with your pets, only leaving when necessary for classes, work, errands, or other commitments. I am happy to bring in mail and packages, water plants, take out trash, and help maintain your home while you’re away. I provide regular photo updates and communication so you always know how your pets are doing. I treat every home with respect and strive to leave it exactly as I found it. Whether your pet is energetic, anxious, senior, medically involved, or simply has a detailed routine, I am committed to providing patient, attentive, and reliable care.

Arisha is absolutely amazing. She was an excellent communicator, sending pictures and updates regularly. She was so sweet to all the animals, even trying to make progress with a very reluctant cat. She took great care of the house as well. I felt so calm knowing she was treating my fur babies like they were her own. She will definitely be my go-to sitter from now on!!

I can’t recommend Alexa enough! We were already out of state when a severe snowstorm was forecasted. She ended up staying snowed in at our house for several days to take care of our pets. My pets love her, even my very shy cat! I really appreciate how great she is at communicating. She kept me updated with pictures and videos, and made sure to let me know her plans and timing. On top of everything, she left the house in fantastic condition. I’m so thankful for her and would absolutely trust her with my pets again.

About: Hi, I’m Cash Harrison, and I would love to be your pet-sitter or dog walker. I have hallways lived with dogs, including one with megaesophagus (a feeding-digestion disability), so I have many years of experience taking care of dogs that require special accommodations. I also love high energy dogs. I have a very flexible schedule and can visit your dog at any hour of the day and any day of the week. I can stay with your dog overnight, check in on them throughout the day, and walk them for you. I can also administer oral medication and visit your dog as many times as you need. I am completely free and available any day and hour of the week and can stay with your pet as long as you need. I have no other obligations throughout the day and can give my full attention to your pet. I will always stay in the same room as your pet, feed them the correct amount of food at the correct time, walk them regularly on a secure leash, and I am able to give them pills and medication if needed. I will also keep them off of furniture (unless they are allowed to be on it).

FAQs for House Sitting - Weston

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 2,822 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Weston. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Weston walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Weston maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Weston choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Weston. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
