“Mel is an excellent dog sitter! We booked our first day care before my dog, Lucifur, was diagnosed with some limiting orthopedic issues that will soon require surgery. That means he now has to have his movement someone restricted to protect him from injury. When I gave Mel this update and asked if he would still be able to care for Lucifur, he was enthusiastic to watch him. In fact, when I arrived on the first day, Mel had thoughtfully set up a secure area for Lucifur to relax in AND had a plan to keep our dogs separated so Lucifur wouldn't get over excited and run/jump around. This was my first time ever using Rover, or really having someone outside of family watch my dogs, so I was definitely a little nervous. She knew going in that Precious is very skittish with new people and that Kona can be a little spicy and may bite if his boundaries aren’t respected, and she was still willing to give them a chance. 🥹 I really appreciated how patient and understanding she was with both of them. She took the time to let them get comfortable, took them on a walk, and made me feel like they were in good hands. I’m so glad I decided to give this a try and I’m looking forward to using her again!
