One thing that really stood out to me was that when she noticed Carti and Margiela were breathing more heavily than usual, she immediately reached out to check with us. Since they’re American Bullies and tend to overheat easily, I really appreciated her being so observant and proactive. I also let her know that they’re used to having the AC on throughout the day. She was already turning it on in the mornings, and when I asked if she could leave it on overnight as well, she was more than happy to do so—and even told me not to worry about paying anything extra. That really meant a lot to us because it showed how much she genuinely cared about their comfort and well-being. She was very communicative, caring, and accommodating, and I felt comfortable knowing Carti and Margiela were in good hands. I also started caring for my family’s cat a few years back since I was already taking care of Sadie. We call him Kitty, and he is 11 years old. He always looks grumpy and is grouchy with everyone except for me..probably because he knows I feed him lol. I have experience administering medicine to cats and I am aware of their sensitivities to certain flowers/foods and that male cats are more prone to kidney issues; that’s why I have made it a priority to give my male cat wet food and make sure he drinks water often because he has dealt with a bladder crystals once. “Mel is an excellent dog sitter! We booked our first day care before my dog, Lucifur, was diagnosed with some limiting orthopedic issues that will soon require surgery. That means he now has to have his movement someone restricted to protect him from injury. When I gave Mel this update and asked if he would still be able to care for Lucifur, he was enthusiastic to watch him. In fact, when I arrived on the first day, Mel had thoughtfully set up a secure area for Lucifur to relax in AND had a plan to keep our dogs separated so Lucifur wouldn't get over excited and run/jump around. Mel was really thoughtful in ensuring that Lucifur had an environment that was safe and he put me at ease. Lucifur enjoys hanging out with Mel and Roxy and I feel confident that he's in great hands. About: I've taken care of dogs and cats all my life. The easiest things to deal with are poop and pee, the hardest is sick pets. At one point in my life we had four dogs living in one house, with a strict rotation on who got to use the backyard time. At the same time we had five cats that got along with everyone. My job allows me to work mainly from home. I get to choose my schedule and I get to be flexible when it suits. :) I have two cats, who's litter box access is only for cats and is hidden away. I can offer a separate room that can host multiple pets separately if they need to be left alone. Otherwise I can mix them with my cats whom are dog and cat friendly. About: I've worked with all types of dogs from helping to train them for obedience to being a K9 Decoy for bite work. I don't mind walking any sized dog or any age for that matter. I also have experience and knowledge on what to look for when it comes to K9 health specially during the summertime and this heat. I work from home for the most part and my schedule does vary week to week but with proper communication and timing I can take the doggos out for a walk without any issues. My retired bomb dog and my active four paw work partner are both crated but their doors are open and have their beds in them. They have a room with AC and are never alone at home. They have individual water buckets and food trays. They go on daily walks with me when the weather is nice and cool to prevent overheating during summer times.
